JmorsonLCFC Posted 15 July 2011 Posted 15 July 2011 Whats doing my head in is surely this thread should be merged with the original NM thread and we could now be on 174 pages. A mere foreskin away from the target 200 we had worked so bloody hard at together. MODS, a merger please surely? Makes sense to have one thread if we are going to allow new ones. Go on. please. this made me laugh stupid amounts.
oxford blue Posted 15 July 2011 Posted 15 July 2011 LCFC no longer interested according to the last article on maynard in bristol local paper http://www.thisisbristol.co.uk/Leicester-abandon-efforts-sign-Bristol-City/story-12934680-detail/story.html Interesting the different takes local papers take on the situation (As an aside, article says BCFC interested in signing Harry Worley. Having seen him play last season, I don't consider him Championship quality (not progressed hugely since LCFC days). Seems strange to me BCFC reject £5m approx for one player yet may have an interest in Worley)

Darkon84 Posted 15 July 2011 Posted 15 July 2011 Supposedly from otib we have bid 5.3 million http://www.otib.co.uk/index.php?/topic/136858-the-nicky-maynard-thread-merged/page__st__1530 From the "Millen looking at the loan market" thread: There is a Final bid of 5.3m for Maynard inc add on's on the table from Leicester. This has not been rejected, and it was confirmed by someone within LCFC to a very good friend of mine in the press. Bristol City have not responded to the bid, but LCFC have said it's non negotiable and it's their final bid. That is why the deal is not dead, because the club have not as yet rejected this. Whether that is because they are waiting to meet Maynard and his agent, or because they have been away, I do not know. But LCFC will pull out of Maynard if this offer is rejected, which is where the half rumour of them dropping interest came from, but LCFC are very firmly stating that this final bid is still on the table and as of yet has not yet been formally rejected. Nice one

Spudulike Posted 15 July 2011 Posted 15 July 2011 http://www.otib.co.uk/ some interesting comments on the Bristol forum about Maynard they seem not as confident as before about keeping him Interesting quote on the Swedish website Desto mer intresserad är han av Bristol Citys skyttekung Nicky Maynard. – Jag skulle gärna vilja ha honom. Han är en av de som finns på vår lista. Men hittills är priset som de begär för högt. Men han vill till oss. Translated as: The more interested he is of Bristol City's top scorer Nicky Maynard. – I would like to have him. He is one of those on our list. But so far is the price they ask too high. But he wants for us. I reckon he definately wants for us....that's why it's still rumbling on, and on, and on...........
