Mack Posted 26 June 2011 Posted 26 June 2011 Signing the Yak is a 20 goal banker. He may not run his bollocks off but by golly he knows where the goal is.
bluebeau Posted 26 June 2011 Posted 26 June 2011 I would like to know within a couple of weeks if the Yak will be signing, can't be good for his personal preparations having an uncertain future. AAHHH! The poor little sod! If he wasn't such a greedy mercenary, his future 2 to 3 years or so would have been secured by now.....at City. Sorry but I have no sympathy for him & I will be very happy if we can sign Maynard instead of him. Trust in King Sven!

You're suggesting that if a company wanted to offer you a contract, & other companies wanted to offer contracts that may include better prospects or of course more money - you wouldn't at least wait to see what they had to say I think that's a hypocritical point of view
LCFC FOX Posted 26 June 2011 Posted 26 June 2011 i would sooner not get Yakubu now. Maynard is 100x better.
Bert Posted 26 June 2011 Posted 26 June 2011 i would sooner not get Yakubu now. Maynard is 100x better. On the basis of?
MGLCFC Posted 26 June 2011 Posted 26 June 2011 I'd sooner have Yakubu and Maynard and if I'm being greedy, Nugent as well
Callabinho Posted 26 June 2011 Posted 26 June 2011 i would sooner not get Yakubu now. Maynard is 100x better. Has Maynard scored 115 goals (roughly) in the premier league?.......
Tuna Posted 26 June 2011 Posted 26 June 2011 Maynard is not 100X better than yakubu, but may be a better long term acquisituion. Younger, hungrier player eager to suceed. The Yak is on a downward spiral now.
Corky Posted 26 June 2011 Posted 26 June 2011 i would sooner not get Yakubu now. Maynard is 100x better. Brilliant.
Dan Posted 26 June 2011 Posted 26 June 2011 Has Maynard scored 115 goals (roughly) in the premier league?....... Has Yakubu?
Danny the Fox 95 Posted 26 June 2011 Posted 26 June 2011 Has Yakubu? Yeah he must be pretty close to 115.
Callabinho Posted 26 June 2011 Posted 26 June 2011 Yeah he must be pretty close to 115. Roughly I got told about that figure i'm sure he has gone beyond 100
john doe Posted 26 June 2011 Posted 26 June 2011 Maynard is not 100X better than yakubu, but may be a better long term acquisituion. Younger, hungrier player eager to suceed. CupidStunt Posted 27 June 2011 Posted 27 June 2011 Without reading through this whole thread...whats the situ with the Yak? is he back at Everton? We need to sign him or someone of his calibre if we are to have any chance of going up this season, personally i want him to stay
Callabinho Posted 27 June 2011 Posted 27 June 2011 Without reading through this whole thread...whats the situ with the Yak? is he back at Everton? We need to sign him or someone of his calibre if we are to have any chance of going up this season, personally i want him to stay As I understand it he has received offers from 3 clubs one prem and two championship, he is basically waiting until somebody meets his wage demands, no body will as its criminal to splash the kind of wages he wants in this league. So eventually he will soon face up to the fact that no body will be willing to pay his wages and he will either remain with Everton or join us with a reluctant wage drop.
lcfc matt Posted 27 June 2011 Posted 27 June 2011 I hope that he does choose us he is what we need if he drops his demands I would certainly be happy
cc_star Posted 27 June 2011 Posted 27 June 2011 Would love him to return Pretty much a guarantee for around 25 goals & you can hardly ever say that
lcfc matt Posted 27 June 2011 Posted 27 June 2011 I'm so suprised how many people have forgot about the yak yes he may be greedy but so what if his goals get us promoted then great.I myself can't see cms or who ever scoring as many as yakubu would so why spend money on gambles when you could get yakubu who Is proven I think it will be a mistake not signing him
Turtles Head Posted 28 June 2011 Posted 28 June 2011 I'm so suprised how many people have forgot about the yak yes he may be greedy but so what if his goals get us promoted then great.I myself can't see cms or who ever scoring as many as yakubu would so why spend money on gambles when you could get yakubu who Is proven I think it will be a mistake not signing him your grammar is awull its really bad i had to read the sentence what you wrote three times before it made sense in my brain ha ha can you imagine that
lcfc matt Posted 28 June 2011 Posted 28 June 2011 Yer writing essays were never my strong point I just go on a mad un and that's it ha ha ha Plus it is 1.25 in the morning
ajthefox Posted 28 June 2011 Posted 28 June 2011 Maynard would be a much better long term investment for a mil or 2 more say, but I would have Yakubu for 3 mil over CMS any day. We know he'll score goals at this level, he's proven it. I have a sneaky suspiscion we are probably still working on the Yak. There has been no news for a while about him and us or him and West Ham for that matter, and for me I think it's quite probable we're still trying. No doubt we're exploring other options and it's good that we're not putting all our eggs in one basket, but I certainly don't think this is dead and buried just yet.
Toffee_Fox Posted 28 June 2011 Posted 28 June 2011 I'll try and ask that Everton itk that is part of that twitter account if they accept my follower request!
