the_foxes_till_i_die Posted 13 July 2011 Posted 13 July 2011 Where's the link? http://www.skysports.com/story/0,19528,11712_7034825,00.html But Leicester have been surprised that three bids, which reportedly peaked at £4.75million, have been turned down and are now thought to be looking at Sheffield United forward Ched Evans.
Rusko187 Posted 13 July 2011 Posted 13 July 2011 Cant believe we are linked back with this!! I will be very unhappy if this was too happen! fowards not backwards sven! Is this guy really that bad? Admittedly I've not followed him but if he's in a decent squad he could be that 20-goal-wonder! As long as he gets a few and we pick him up cheap than why not.
RyanB89 Posted 13 July 2011 Posted 13 July 2011 I dont like the look of him I dont like his wages either That is all.
kingfox Posted 13 July 2011 Posted 13 July 2011 Ched Evans won't get 20 goals in this division that's a FACT. Rather have a strike force of Kermorgant and Howard rather than Evans starting, rubbish player nowadays hasn't done anything good for a long time. He's not a player we should be looking at.
Carlos9 Posted 13 July 2011 Posted 13 July 2011 If you put van nistelrooy at his best in a squad like Sheffield united he would have an average look to him. Goal scorers need service. Give the lad a chance.
DJ Barry Hammond Posted 13 July 2011 Posted 13 July 2011 Ok a couple of things to note here; 1) Sven's worked with Ched in the past at Manchester City, so he knows the guys qualities 2) he's a completely different proposition to Yakubu and Maynard, I see Ched as a potential replacement for Steve Howard. He is the type of player every successful team in this league need, think Jamie Mackie, Grant Holt and to not quite as similar extent Danny Graham. 3) he was Sheffield Utd's top scorer last season - ok that was only 9, but that was a relegated side. You'd hope in a promotion chasing side that figure would naturally go to 15+ as you'd create more chances / have more confidence 4) he's going to have something to prove, always a plus in a signing! Have a look at his wiki page - it doesn't sound all bad, although the recent 'charges' are a worry. wiki Evans link Some people need to get their heads out of their backside and consider more than their first impressions of people.
psychonaut Posted 13 July 2011 Posted 13 July 2011 http://www.skysports.com/story/0,19528,11712_7034825,00.html But Leicester have been surprised that three bids, which reportedly peaked at £4.75million, have been turned down and are now thought to be looking at Sheffield United forward Ched Evans. Thanks... but i didnt read the link as it would just depress me. Seeing his name at the top of the transfer board depresses me. This shall be my last post on CE now hopefully it will sink out of sight.
rico Posted 13 July 2011 Posted 13 July 2011 Ched Evans was the player Alan Pardew described as being raped on the pitch http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Bx94jwmMxPs
Carlos9 Posted 13 July 2011 Posted 13 July 2011 He is supposed to be a very funny person as well. He is good mates with foxy from burnley who knows Maynard from school boy football.... Who knows... I remember seeing a Planking video of him with his head down a toilet and his body upright. Hilarious!
DorsetFox9 Posted 13 July 2011 Posted 13 July 2011 Give the boy a chance! 750K Max though Hahahahaha. At 12.15am here in France. I just burst out laughing at your sig! Quality is the word. Less can be said for the lads penalties.....
Tuna Posted 13 July 2011 Posted 13 July 2011 He's Shit! Howard is better for crying out loud. There has to be better out there, there has to be!

Ric Flair Posted 13 July 2011 Posted 13 July 2011 Yes please! Can't wait to see you Braunstone scrubbers grovelling come May.
samstown92 Posted 13 July 2011 Posted 13 July 2011 I'd give him a chance aslong as we don't pay over the odds for him! We played with Yakubu up front with waghorn as back up, whats wrong with, Nugent, Evans, Waghorn and vassell
ithuriel Posted 14 July 2011 Posted 14 July 2011 What is he going to bring to our forward line ?? he is nothing better than what is already here
kingfox Posted 14 July 2011 Posted 14 July 2011 Says he plays for Leicester, that will be changed in the next hour. Also said he was arrested for Assault at the end of May We have a righten on our hands in this one, plus his shit. Might have to protest...
teblin Posted 14 July 2011 Posted 14 July 2011 2 years ago I remember a lot of people on here wanting us to sing him. He had a lot of potential and stll has, been in a very poor blades side. Put him in a decent side and I think he'd do a decent job.
roblcfc84 Posted 14 July 2011 Posted 14 July 2011 Don't understand why fans have decided based on very evidence that Evans is a poor signing. It reminds me of the Liverpool fans laughing at us signing Konchesky, when before he joined them he was a playing very well week in week out. Because a player has a poor season or struggles at a club it doesn't make his a poor player. He was a 3 million pound player not long ago. Best example I can give is Jon Dahl tommason who couldn't hit a barn door at Newcastle. He ended up being denmarks all time top scorer. Let's give him a chance.
Hack Posted 14 July 2011 Posted 14 July 2011 Maynard to ched flaming evans....... Great This will be his biggest problem if he were to come here instead of a Maynard or Sharp. He will be under huge pressure to score every game otherwise he will be considered shit. It is almost a no win for Evans, because of whoelse we are linked with. Everyone will think he is the boobie prize. Unfair yes, reality yes.
teblin Posted 14 July 2011 Posted 14 July 2011 People banging on about Billy Sharp, i would just like to bring his record at Sheff Utd to everyone's attention: 8 goals in 51 games Ched evens is 13 in 67 which is a very similar record. All I'm saying is players can move on and flourish elsewhere when they haven't at another club. I know Sharp had a good record at Scunny before going back to Sheff Utd but that was in league 1. He has done very well for Donny since, so there is no reason Evans couldn't do the same with us. Sven know Ched from his days at Man City so if he signs him he obviously feels he has something to offer our club.
