THEBIGJOHNSTEADER; Posted 2 September 2011 Posted 2 September 2011 Imagine him in a band. Bald old git. The glasses would be stupid.
ajthefox Posted 2 September 2011 Posted 2 September 2011 **** off McDermott, we're Leicester and we're MASSIVE.
Alexikokopops Posted 2 September 2011 Posted 2 September 2011 How can you force a move if the club in question hasn't even made a bid? He said himself we didn't even contact them. I think he's suggesting it goes something like this: Leicester put rumour out about a play they're interested in Player's head gets turned Player puts in transfer request Leicester put in bid after they know player is definitely interested Selling club forced to sell at a lower price/push deal through quicker than intended rather than risk having an unsettled player on their hands Effectively a cheeky way of getting around the tapping up rules. Rather than go direct and see if a player is interested we create false rumours to create the same outcome. That's how I see the accusations anyway. If we are doing that I can understand McDermott being annoyed. Whether he has any proof of it is another matter. It could easily just be newspapers making stuff up.
Corky Posted 2 September 2011 Posted 2 September 2011 Yes Brian, we were linked with many players. We bid for two though, signing one.
Matt Posted 2 September 2011 Posted 2 September 2011 Erm, should he not be pointing the finger at agents? I was always led to believe they struck intrest via media outlets to get rumours and transfers on the go.
John Matrix Posted 2 September 2011 Posted 2 September 2011 was hoping someone would jump on the photoshops
DANGEROUS TIGER Posted 2 September 2011 Posted 2 September 2011 A very immature statement. If I was a Reading fan, I would feel extremely embarrassed.
Dr The Singh Posted 2 September 2011 Posted 2 September 2011 A very immature statement. If I was a Reading fan, I would feel extremely embarrassed. ................comming from you!!!!
Jiggers the Fox Posted 2 September 2011 Posted 2 September 2011 For some reason this guy really irritates me. Don't know why. Not exactly helping himself here!
Brown Fox Posted 2 September 2011 Posted 2 September 2011 Well I'd be pretty pissed off if I looked like a hard boiled egg wouldn't you?
Axle Horsepower Posted 2 September 2011 Posted 2 September 2011 I should think we are above that sort of tactic and McDermott ought to give us a bit more credit. Sven has already had a go at rangers for publicising our bid and we traditionally keep our dealings hush hush. Ive really started to dislike that guy, he comes across as a mardy little whingebag...
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 2 September 2011 Posted 2 September 2011 'To be honest, I'm not really bothered how Leicester conduct their business.' Why the statement then, Big Bri? Twat.
Libertine Posted 2 September 2011 Posted 2 September 2011 He's always had something against this club. Agreed. Reckon that's why he always gets his team to beat us. C-nt.
z-layrex Posted 2 September 2011 Posted 2 September 2011 He's always had something against this club. Like most of the footballing world then.
Ashley Posted 2 September 2011 Posted 2 September 2011 Oh piss off McDermott you look like Humpty Dumpty. I'm sure Leicester City went about the correct way of enquiring about Kebe's availability. Its not Leicester City's fault if rumours go around saying we've had a bid accepted etc..
Trav Le Bleu Posted 2 September 2011 Posted 2 September 2011 How can you force a move if the club in question hasn't even made a bid? He said himself we didn't even contact them. And there lies the truth of the matter. As far as I see it McDermott is saying, "I'm a massive idiot who believes everything I read in the press."
Babylon Posted 2 September 2011 Posted 2 September 2011 And there lies the truth of the matter. As far as I see it McDermott is saying, "I'm a massive idiot who believes everything I read in the press." Maybe Kebe was outside the Walkers banging on the door asking to be let in. "Please sign me, it's been on Sky sports that you have bid for me. Even Tord Grip (who has never been seen at the walkers, interviewed by the local press or had anything much to do with the club since Sven arrived) says you are interested. I don't want to play for fat Captain Picard any more"
LilMissFox Posted 2 September 2011 Posted 2 September 2011 What a ****. This was only a rumour and no Official Leicester source publicly spoke about this deal. He can join Claridge and all the rest in the bitter and jealous club. I agree when I read about this last night the first thing that came to mind is clubs are jus jealous, especially cuz we have the money to spend. Let em say what they like, Leicester just need to stay focused and aim to start winning.
Jordan Posted 2 September 2011 Posted 2 September 2011 If @BertLCFC and other supposed football insiders tweet made-up shit (whether naively or as an intentional wind-up), and some media outlets and the Twitterverse pick up the ball and run with it, that's hardly Leicester City's problem. I think Jimmy Kebe and his agent would be well aware if Leicester were considering an approach to buy him before any rumored bids were reported. As others have said, if Leicester City really wanted to tamper--not suggesting they would/did--with Kebe, they'd do things a little more slyly.
URZZZZZZZZ Posted 2 September 2011 Posted 2 September 2011 The bald headed dwarf who has turned Leicester over every time he's managed against them? Jealous?! PAH!!! You're only allowed to take out shit players off us for extortionate prices, not the good ones!
