00rawat Posted 25 September 2011 Posted 25 September 2011 I really hope Sven drops Wellens next game bring in Johnson and Nugent.
ScouseFox Posted 25 September 2011 Posted 25 September 2011 The whole back five were very good to be fair, hence the clean sheet I guess. Going forward there wasn't really any clear cut chances until the 94th minute, and Vassell was unlucky not to score. Praying this means Wellens gets dropped for the next game, Christ he was on the wrong side of fucking gash.
unreachable Posted 25 September 2011 Posted 25 September 2011 Very pleased with clean sheet and a point - Wales has been a graveyard in the last few seasons - Johnson looked good as Cardiff had tired. .......and we could have won.
Ashley Posted 25 September 2011 Posted 25 September 2011 Thought we played good in the first half, Cardiff started the second half very strong eventually they died off around 60 minute mark. Unlucky at the end. We got a point, not bad!
SuperScout Posted 25 September 2011 Posted 25 September 2011 This isn't good enough Eriksson. Sort it out or **** off back to Sweden and we'll get someone a lot better in.
Leicester Bean Posted 25 September 2011 Posted 25 September 2011 After seeing that performance I'd like to see Johnson in for King & Danns in for Wellens.
AmyLGK Posted 25 September 2011 Posted 25 September 2011 I thought Vassell was brilliant - just lacked a goal, if you know what I mean! He ran rings round Cardiff's defence - especially in the first half!
Tommy G Posted 25 September 2011 Posted 25 September 2011 Mills played class today great block and also dominated in the air,
easilee Posted 25 September 2011 Posted 25 September 2011 Why is Vassell persistently played, and why didn't he go off instead of Beckford?! Vassell shouldve buried that chance at the end, poor miss. Vassell is underrated by many on here but I think he is very important in regard to some of our better performances so far. Just because he doesn't score a shit load of goals does'n't mean he shouldn't play. Was not a poor miss, just unlucky.
MikeyT Posted 25 September 2011 Posted 25 September 2011 Mills...best game so far, without a shadow of a doubt. He was a rock.
Leicester-Fox Posted 25 September 2011 Posted 25 September 2011 We are an average team. weak midfield with no width and strikers poor today.
danfox76 Posted 25 September 2011 Posted 25 September 2011 Little frustrating with not enough cutting edge, but a good point. Johnson looks exactly what we need, even in that 15 minute spell he moved it about very nicely. this
Lisburn Fox Posted 25 September 2011 Posted 25 September 2011 Rose tinted glasses from a few to be honest. I thought we looked lethargic & clueless in all depts with the exception of Mills n Bamba, if that is all we have offensively I can't see many teams quaking in their boots at the thought of playing us.
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 25 September 2011 Posted 25 September 2011 Can't wait until Johnson hits his best. Even in the little cameo he spread it and won the ball well. There was a moment where he was running at goal that was almost bang on to his play in his breakthrough season at Man City. And if he keeps Wellens out the team, happy days.
Yojoe36 Posted 25 September 2011 Posted 25 September 2011 Awesome defending today, and well played Mills Cardiff should of had 10 men, as that tackle in the 10th(?) minute was double footed studs up. Didn't even get booked, disgusting.
The Doctor Posted 25 September 2011 Posted 25 September 2011 Positives - Mills looking better, Johnson getting fitter, Keeping Clean Sheets Negatives - Struggling to put away our chances, Wellens getting crapper by the game. Still, tough place to go, got a point now onwards to M'boro.
Phube Posted 25 September 2011 Posted 25 September 2011 I'd kill for another Guppy or Izzett! Not one of our set pieces went where it was dangerous... and we have so many decent headers of the ball... So frustrating!
wacky Posted 25 September 2011 Posted 25 September 2011 Positives- clean sheet, nice sunny day for a stroll Women's golf was more exciting to watch Negatives- so few positives lack of creativity from midfield Mid-table team, that's how good we are!!
Matt Posted 25 September 2011 Posted 25 September 2011 1st half we played well, and then 2nd half one of those famous Sven team talks, WTF does he say to them at half-time because every game i've seen this season we've came out in the 2nd half a different team, a worse team. Why did it take us till the 94th minute to make our best chance? I said the other day, and people may laugh but I felt we needed to win today, if we won today we'd have almost been back on track after a disappointing start to the season both result and performance wise, we go to Middlesborough on Wednesday which will be a tough game and one I fear we will sturggle to draw. And when can we stop using this 'they're still gelling' excuse? Time to stand up and be counted lads.
Corky Posted 25 September 2011 Posted 25 September 2011 There were positives, we look like we've got some steel away from home which was missing last season, another clean sheet and another game unbeaten. We need to improve in midfield though, Johnson looks impressive, while Wellens's was poor and King missed some great chances. Beckford was hardly in the game and while Vassell missed that chance (how did he hit the bar!?) he gave their defence more problems. Draw was fair.
wattolcfc Posted 25 September 2011 Posted 25 September 2011 Positives: Mills.. Great performance from him, some cracking blocks, his passing was much improved and won the ball in the air each time. Negatives: Wellens.. Awful, gave the ball away too much, turned into tackles and his set pieces are shocking.
Libertine Posted 25 September 2011 Posted 25 September 2011 There was a moment where he was running at goal that was almost bang on to his play in his breakthrough season at Man City. And if he keeps Wellens out the team, happy days. This absolutely. Reminded of that goal against Derby for Man City.
Clazie Posted 25 September 2011 Posted 25 September 2011 I didn't think that we were that bad. We weren't good, but Cardiff were never going to let us play our football, and we were never going to let them play theirs. A classic example of 2 teams cancelling each other out. Mills good defensively, poor on the ball (actually, late on he played a couple of good passes). Beckford hopeless. I don't buy the comment that he didn't get the service. He simply didn't move enough off the ball for me. Wellens worse than Beckford. King busy but missed a great chance near the end. Peltier looked very good. Johnson to come in for Wellens on Wednesday please. Really? I thought he'd gone and borrowed Harry Potter's invisibility cloak.
