JmorsonLCFC Posted 24 October 2011 Posted 24 October 2011 This time last season we were bottom of the championship, now we're 5 points off automatic, hope you are all happy fickle twats.
BlueSi13 Posted 24 October 2011 Posted 24 October 2011 Holy shit This was not the time such a decision was to be made, 2 points off 4th place. At least 5 more games. Everybody knows things haven't been promotion class right now but this was a huge decision to make and i fear it is the wrong one. Dark times are coming for this football club i feel.
Corky Posted 24 October 2011 Posted 24 October 2011 I hope someone is lined up, because it's not just about sacking one, it's replacing them with better that's most important. I'm sure those who wanted Sven to go will be happy with whoever the next manager is, am I right?
Al-aLondon-Foxile Posted 24 October 2011 Posted 24 October 2011 How do you quantify success and how fast do you need your ****ing *success"? Did you expect Sven to drag us out last season, getting us promoted? Would you have sacked him after five games this season - just because you don't like the guy?? In the near future, the manager's sacking will come after only five to ten games if this ****ing attitude with these high expectations and low tolerance level coupled with little patience carries on. How many more managers to come??? 44% win rate just isn't good enough on the basis of the backing he has been given. Recent performances have added to the pressure. The owners want a return on their investment and after 12 months it didn't look likely. Let's face it, the talk in summer was about us being favs for promotion, yes that's all talk, but right now it's not very likely & PO's are by no means certain either. You can't invest to that degree and accept mediocrity. He didn't build a side for success, he bought one. He didn't look likely to achieve that so he took the bullet. Fair play to the owners in my opinion.
Matt Posted 24 October 2011 Posted 24 October 2011 Too early, and I don't agree. However it's was only a matter of time, and his time was running out. We've only played well once this season, Derby. Don't get me wrong i'll always take results over performances, but results weren't exactly amazing, not terrible though. I did find the performances hard to handle though, especially Saturday where I don't think i'm wrong in saying on Saturday it reminded me of our relegation season. Another thing I will say is if it was Sven Goran Eriksson how many people would be surprised, shocked, and how many people would be calling for their head. I can't say I agree or disagree actually, i'm bit neutral and got a 'numb' feeling almost, abit confused really, however I was alot more upset when Pearson was pushed that am I now.
WardyisPukka Posted 24 October 2011 Posted 24 October 2011 The owners aren't idoits,If anything there showing how much ambition they have if they're willing to sack him,Fair play to them they're 15mill out of pocket and we're 13th ffs. yes but money doesnt buy you promotion dickhead!!
tapa2012 Posted 24 October 2011 Posted 24 October 2011 This is absolutely absurd! To sack a manager like Sven in this way is outrageous. I hope the club read this, and if you have real concern for LCFC you will sell the club to people who will give a manager more than a month to build a team in a very competitive league!
Chairman of the Bored Posted 24 October 2011 Posted 24 October 2011 Claridge "It's not a massive surprise." I'm pleased he's gone. Did little with the best bunch of England players in a generation, other than the 5-1 in Germany. Saw little on the pitch here. Plan A and nothing more. Doesn't like width; starts off not wanting to lose; refuses to throw the kitchen sink when needed; not an awful lot of passion on the touchline. Nice bloke, but not my idea of an LCFC manager and wouldn't have got us up. Having said all that, the potential to go tits up from hereon in is massive. Not sure who I want; not MON (wouldn't want his God-like status to be tarnished if it went wrong); Lee Clark is the next up and coming, like his style of play, like him as a bloke. I think they'll go international again though, so who knows?
Guest bennytwohats Posted 24 October 2011 Posted 24 October 2011 Pretty gutted to be honest, players clearly loved him, we played some glorious football under him at times. Yeah we were inconsistent which was a problem, but still october and we're still 2 points off playoffs. We won;t do better. **** it, I wouldn't want the job. Bunch of fickle, xenophobic shitcunts for fans. Was looking forward to my trip to Upton park on saturday, find it hard to give a shit right now.
lestajigs Posted 24 October 2011 Posted 24 October 2011 Lee Peltier, Paul Gallagher and Neil Danns don't seem happy with this. Edit - And Jeffrey Schlupp Well?????????
Ric Flair Posted 24 October 2011 Posted 24 October 2011 What the fook? In all my days on this planet and the other days when i've been off my pickle this is the most absurd decision i've experienced. Fookin fuming.
l444ry Posted 24 October 2011 Posted 24 October 2011 This time last season we were bottom of the championship, now we're 5 points off automatic, hope you are all happy fickle twats. You calling the Thai owners, who have spent a fortune bankrolling Sven, "happy fickle twats!"
tomtom Posted 24 October 2011 Posted 24 October 2011 Feel really disappointed with this and stringer is a complete **** and incentative twat the way he handled talking to sven live on the radio ....he's just lost his job he ain't gonna want to talk to you straight away
Kitchandro Posted 24 October 2011 Posted 24 October 2011 This! What a ****ing terrible knee-jerk reaction. How quickly everyone forgets the performance against Derby a couple of weeks ago where we were outstanding. Outstanding in one game, 3 and a half good games in all if you count Brighton and the halfs against Southampton, Forest and Watford. Brilliant! That's promotion form!
EnglishOxide Posted 24 October 2011 Posted 24 October 2011 *cough* Gus Poyet *cough* Nigel Adkins *cough* Paul Lambert All of whom had little / no experience of managing Championship sides and have taken to this division like a duck to water. The gap between League One and the Championship isn't as gaping as you'd think. The likes of Robinson and Clark don't actually represent that much of a risk. You are aware that Sven defeated two of these guys team this season right?
TrentFox Posted 24 October 2011 Posted 24 October 2011 Aftre 42 years of parting with cash to watch the mighty Blues, perhaps the thing that astonishes me most about this is that I'm astonished!! Truly ........ well ....... astonishing. I've now stopped kicking the dog about Saturday's poor performance - this feels worse to me. The dog has now moved next door.
lavrentis Posted 24 October 2011 Posted 24 October 2011 Just been down to see if anything was happening and saw Sven being rushed out in a black X8??? Heard stringer saying there are a small amount of Leicester fans I'd call it minuscule there was about 4

ballso Posted 24 October 2011 Posted 24 October 2011 Lee Peltier, Paul Gallagher and Neil Danns don't seem happy with this. Edit - And Jeffrey Schlupp They are hardly going to come out and say they are well pleased are they?
lovelcfc Posted 24 October 2011 Posted 24 October 2011 hope all you twats that wanted him out are happy now
AmyLGK Posted 24 October 2011 Posted 24 October 2011 FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKK! Absolutely ridiculous decision! Im off to drink A LOT of wine and have a cry!
Webbo Posted 24 October 2011 Posted 24 October 2011 Shocked, but let's be honest the writings been on the wall for a while now, it's been 1 step forward 2 steps back all season. I liked Sven and I wouldn't have pulled the trigger until at least Xmas but so be it.
