Ric Flair Posted 24 October 2011 Posted 24 October 2011 O'Neill and possibly Mark Hughes would be the only two managers that I could possibly raise any enthusiasm for right now, i'm disgusted with my club tonight. DISGUSTED.
21st Century Fox Posted 24 October 2011 Posted 24 October 2011 My enthusiasm for going to Upton Park on Saturday has totally been drained.
The People's Hero Posted 24 October 2011 Posted 24 October 2011 Brian Little would appease me. Or Rafa!
Chairman of the Bored Posted 24 October 2011 Posted 24 October 2011 So you're basing your opinion of Sven's spell in charge of Leicester on his time at England. Yeah, that makes sense.... No. He had the players with England but couldn't get the team to work, we under performed massively in my view; ditto Leicester more than likely. He has a reasonable bunch of players but hasn't got them working. Past the "time to gel" stage; we gelled like super glue against the Sheep and then gelled like water and flour for the next three games (bar 45 mins against Watford). We need a manager than maximise the team more often than not; only this will bring us promotion.
MC Prussian Posted 24 October 2011 Posted 24 October 2011 Look at it from this perspective - which manager would now want to be in charge of this team, knowing that the owners (with the help of a certain fans' fraction) ousted a manager like Sven-Göran Eriksson after only more than one year in charge? Who would be so insane to face this challenge, knowing that he could suffer the same fate after thirteen games in charge - comes Christmas? And what good does it do to the players' motivation now? By the time this ****ing funny kind of a ship has re-discovered its course, we'll be stuck in mid-table still. Wonder whom the Anti-Sven brigade will take aim at then. Probably Sven, because the new manager inherited "a poor squad". **** it.
Matt Posted 24 October 2011 Posted 24 October 2011 My enthusiasm for going to Upton Park on Saturday has totally been drained. I had none to lose. My enthusiasm was going a long way for a piss up.
DANGEROUS TIGER Posted 24 October 2011 Posted 24 October 2011 An absolute disgrace. What a time to do this. I hope the anti-Sven morons are happy. Just don't expect promotion now, because it wont happen.
Phube Posted 24 October 2011 Posted 24 October 2011 A genuine "WHAT!" moment just then as I read it on the BBC Website.... Seriously... WHAT!!?!?!
iancognito Posted 24 October 2011 Posted 24 October 2011 I'm actually shocked they've sacked him but quite honestly we've been so inconsistent since about February/March it's untrue so from that perspective it's not a surprise but I've said for a while they'd look at the position at the end of Oct and he'd be judged on that. If it's going to be anyone then Lee Clark, Billy Davies or maybe Mark Hughes. I'd like Poyet but I think he's just signed an extension at Brighton. Dave Jones would be a good shout because he's got a decent record in the division. But please God not Roy Keane or a random foreigner who doesn't know the league or the players.
Corky Posted 24 October 2011 Posted 24 October 2011 Cannot believe we are after another manager again God help the new man if he doesn't like Dyer, Howard and Waghorn. PEARSON
TheUltimateWinner Posted 24 October 2011 Posted 24 October 2011 Absolutely disgraceful. Worst move ever, We were only 2 points of the play offs? Promotion now looks bleak for this club. I don't want to sound like a party pooper but... In 2 years I see this club struggling financially
The People's Hero Posted 24 October 2011 Posted 24 October 2011 Hopefully it's some Thai guy we've never heard of.
nickelbyfox Posted 24 October 2011 Posted 24 October 2011 I am pretty surprised but somehow think they must have a great prospect coming in if they are getting rid of him now, gotta be MON or hughes or somebody good
Guest MattP Posted 24 October 2011 Posted 24 October 2011 My enthusiasm for going to Upton Park on Saturday has totally been drained. I had lost it anyway after the two performances last week.
Lisburn Fox Posted 24 October 2011 Posted 24 October 2011 Am not a pro or anti Sven, I just think this is a big mistake, we now look like a joke club with a 20 odd year old petulant owner. I have seen another thread about the players being ashamed of themselves, I agree with that.
lcfc_jme Posted 24 October 2011 Posted 24 October 2011 PASHUN. GIVE IT WALSHEH. GET BIG STEVIE HOWARD ON THE COACHING STAFF. PASHUNNNNNNNNNNNN.
Guest Bilo Posted 24 October 2011 Posted 24 October 2011 passion. GIVE IT WALSHEH. GET BIG STEVIE HOWARD ON THE COACHING STAFF. passionNNNNNNNNNNNN. Reinstate Rob Kelly and bring back the smashin' bunch of lads! passionNNNNNNNNNNN!!!
Jackirius Posted 24 October 2011 Posted 24 October 2011 I thought the Milan era of the club was over.
21st Century Fox Posted 24 October 2011 Posted 24 October 2011 If there isn't an appointment by saturday, who do we have left to caretake? Stowell? Rudkin?
The People's Hero Posted 24 October 2011 Posted 24 October 2011 Good shout with Rob Kelly. What's he doing these days? I wonder if we could tempt back wing wizard Luigi Glombard too.
Tom17LCFC Posted 24 October 2011 Posted 24 October 2011 Worst.Shout.Ever. If we get Shearer i'm actually gonna cry. My money's on Mark Hughes, but there's one person I've not seen mentioned yet... Pearson
