lcfcsnow Posted 24 October 2011 Posted 24 October 2011 The owners aren't idoits,If anything there showing how much ambition they have if they're willing to sack him,Fair play to them they're 15mill out of pocket and we're 13th ffs. I think they're entitled to remove a manager who's wasted 20+ million on new players and high wage loanees and delivered no success, not even entering the top 6 once.
MC Prussian Posted 24 October 2011 Posted 24 October 2011 Leicester City FC - laughing stock of the football league for close to ten years now. Sacking the manager this early AGAIN!!! This is getting embarrassing. All this talk of the owners having faith in Sven-Göran Eriksson... **** it. **** it.
Kitchandro Posted 24 October 2011 Posted 24 October 2011 O'Neill won't come. I was always concerned about our possible replacement but as I said yesterday, stability was the only good reason to keep Sven.

Saxondale Posted 24 October 2011 Posted 24 October 2011 East Mids Today reporting it, to be confirmed within the hour.
21st Century Fox Posted 24 October 2011 Posted 24 October 2011 I'm looking forward to a new manager not being able to get us promoted - just to prove all the Sven haters wrong. Yes, I'm that gutted. This.
Schlupp Posted 24 October 2011 Posted 24 October 2011 This was quite similar to Sousa the board said they'll have a 2 year plan with him,He was sacked in 2 days
BoneDog Posted 24 October 2011 Posted 24 October 2011 Martin O' Neill is favourite. Can't see it happening that much, but some of the other managers listed are encouraging; Lee Clark and Dave Jones for example. I hope he takes the job obviously, but I think that is just a ploy by the bookies to get loads of people to lump on Martin.
Thracian Posted 24 October 2011 Posted 24 October 2011 Please not McLaren! Do we ever learn? The bloke has about as much charisma as a lamp-post.

martyn Posted 24 October 2011 Posted 24 October 2011 I think some of you are going to get irate about what you'll be reiding in the coming hours
liam717 Posted 24 October 2011 Posted 24 October 2011 Personally I dont think it is the right desicion, he hasn't been given enough time with a relatively new squad and we're only 5 points off automatics
Finnegan Posted 24 October 2011 Posted 24 October 2011 I'm terrified by the fact Bryan Robson is: A. A big name: B. Connected in Thailand. Jus' sayin'.
Merging Cultures Posted 24 October 2011 Posted 24 October 2011 As someone else has pointed out, we're going to have a load of players now who might want to leave, or their motivation will be hit, so many came because of Sven. We have had flashes of decent play, but we need consistency. The only consistency we have is that we continue to be a merry go round for managers. stillwater Posted 24 October 2011 Posted 24 October 2011 What a joke, we won't get anybody better can see us getting hammered on sat at west Ham excuse the punn
somebum Posted 24 October 2011 Posted 24 October 2011 a) wrong - it was less than £15m, closer to £10m b) wrong - we were in the Top Six once But enjoy spouting your lies. Lies? Hardly. Signing on bonuses would have pushed the figure nearer to 20 mil. We were in the top 6 for about 2 hours.
Yojoe36 Posted 24 October 2011 Posted 24 October 2011 Stringer knows where lives I'm sorry, but Stringer mate. Really?
Babylon Posted 24 October 2011 Posted 24 October 2011 The guy has been given everything a manager could want to be a success, but the last three performances have been utter utter shite. I think it's too early though, and we're going to be left with a lot of players who came here because of Sven.
Trav Le Bleu Posted 24 October 2011 Posted 24 October 2011 Stringer's interview went well Yeah, he's brilliant. If the owners DON'T have someone already lined up then we'll suffer
Hammster Posted 24 October 2011 Posted 24 October 2011 I think some of you are going to get irate about what you'll be reiding in the coming hours NO!

So overall then, Svens tenure in charge was a success? Based on the money spent on loans and purchases I'd say it wasn't. And I'd estimate that on transfers, loan fees, inflated wages it might be nearer to 20m than you think. But that's a mute point. The guy failed, and he deserved to be sacked after he was so well backed.
