theessexfox Posted 22 April 2012 Posted 22 April 2012 Thats just like asking if we want Messi! OF COURSE!
Bluetintedspecs Posted 22 April 2012 Posted 22 April 2012 We've had about 10 managers in a row that havent addressed that problem so I dont expect that to change anytime soon. Heskey would solve that problem. Just from the sheer fact that he's ****ING AMAZING!! Sorry Betts think WAS not IS is more appropriate, however in the unlikely event it happened i would support him as I do every player who pulls on the shirt!
howlinmadmurfdoc Posted 22 April 2012 Posted 22 April 2012 He's better than what we've got with regards to big men, if he has the passion to come back and really give it a go then I'd have him in a heartbeat, but if he just wants one last big payday then no thanks.

No chance of that he's leicester through and through! However i must say i honestly cant decide whether id want him back or not. Im very much on the fence about this.
Gold Coast Fox Posted 23 April 2012 Posted 23 April 2012 As much as i love Heskey, I don't want him back. Big wages for little end product.
Guest Bilo Posted 23 April 2012 Posted 23 April 2012 I think we can do better in all honesty, especially considering the wages he'd command. I like the bloke and wouldn't want the memories of the last time he was here to be tarnished by a poor second spell.
Bluearmyfox28 Posted 23 April 2012 Posted 23 April 2012 50-50 on this i wouldn't want heskey as my first choice as a target man but if we missed out on other targets then I Carnt see why not!
goose2010 Posted 23 April 2012 Posted 23 April 2012 I was at the villa game on Saturday and to be honest when he came on he did alright, he held the ball up well and does help in creating chances by winning flick ons. I would take a gamble on him but it wouldn't surprise me if Reading went for him if they dont get Roberts.

Mark_w Posted 24 April 2012 Posted 24 April 2012 Not only would it be fantastic to see him back, but he's just the sort of player we need at the moment. A Heskey - Nugent strikeforce with Waggy on the bench next year would be great. He's better than what we have and he'll want success for the team not just himself like some of our players, can't see why people wouldn't want him.

Mark_w Posted 24 April 2012 Posted 24 April 2012 Waghorn instead of Beckford lol Because, a) I doubt Beckford would want to sit on the bench. b) Waghorn would be a lot cheaper to keep on the bench, I don't think that Beckford should be starting next year and based on the amount of money he's on, I doubt keeping him to sit on the bench would be an option.
funkyrobot Posted 24 April 2012 Posted 24 April 2012 No to heskey. He's good for prob 6 goals a season and will be out for months with a string of injuries.
Craig Posted 24 April 2012 Posted 24 April 2012 Heskey would bully some of the defences in this league to ****. I'd have him in a heartbeat.
KFS Posted 25 April 2012 Posted 25 April 2012 Heskey will end his career at Leicester.. Sven said last season that he had implied that he wanted to join pretty soonish. He'd be on a free, he's got a lot of passion for Leicester and he'll be our blue eyed boy again. 100 percent yes!
Greg2607 Posted 25 April 2012 Posted 25 April 2012 I am not so sure about all the nostalgic views here. for me, I actually thought Heskey was a perfect foil for England, bringing other strikers into the game very well, it's no coincidence that Michael Owen played so well at both Liverpool and for England with Emile bringing him into the game. It was also Heskey who set up Wayne Rooney's first ever england goal. However, and it really is a BIG however, it isn't JUST down to Heskey to decide IF he comes back! surely the manager of the club has a say in that. and for me, I dont see NP offering someone a chance of a return to a club on the basis that he may bring back some happy memories to the fans. Not his style. So it all may be a moot point.

Heskey is almost finished as a footballer so it's a given that we'll waste even more money by bringing him back.
carlhltid Posted 25 April 2012 Posted 25 April 2012 alot of people here want to see heskey back in an leicester shirt but imo he aint good enough hes too slow and dont score many goals anymore he played for a few teams and never really got on at any . career goals = 151 in 692 games. leicester 46 goals in 197 apps liverpool 60 goals in 223 apps birmin gham 16 goals in 78 apps wigan 15 goals in 88 apps villa 14 goals in 106 apps this is awfull for a centre forward and pretty sure howard has a better goal return than that . so why do people want the goal machine heskey back playing for us .

RonnieTodger Posted 25 April 2012 Posted 25 April 2012 I'd love him back here but I don't think Pearson will want him. Hopefully he will. Isn't Howard's contract ending this summer?
