Just another shout out for Snowfall on bbc iplayer.

We are on the last series now (6)and it's totally brilliant.

Like someone  posted the lead actor is actually a british guy who plays an American gangsta.

Great actor.

Finished it last night mate :)

Right up there with some of the best series I've ever watched. Absolutely gripping.

Damson Idris who plays Franklin stars next to Brad Pitt in the new F1 film. He's destined for big things, incredible actor.

Passenger on BBC1..,

Dreadful. I watched the first episode and Mrs P wanted to watch the rest. Gut wrenchingly bad.

If you haven't seen it, don't bother unless you want to see for yourself how awful scriptwriting, acting, direction and production can sometimes be.

It seems to have drawn on a storyline similar to The Taking Of Pelham 123. Not even worthy of comparison.

What with Nightsleeper and now this, the Beeb are missing too often with their dramas right now.

Which is a shame because they've made some very good ones recently too (The Tourist, Happy Valley, Time and others).

4/6 for Mr McMahon

Its effectively a history of modern wrestling isn’t it? It’s not really a documentary or particularly well made one.

The director doesn’t poke enough at the hints or secrets. Then he’s attempted to void himself slightly by repeating that the interviews were done before his charge. The director is sucked in by McMahon’s hubris

That said, I’ve loved watching it! 😂

Is Rings Of Power worth continuing?

I quite enjoyed a lot of the first season, though watched the first episode of the new season and didn't enjoy it much, especially the advert breaks Amazon never consulted me on. Literally gave up watching out of spite (and ideological reasons) in the middle of episode 2.

Is it worth continuing??

I've just finished it, started off well I thought but by the end of episode 6 I was a bit bored.

Thought the two minute segment in the series discussing Owen Hart was wishy washy n all – appreciate it's meant to be a piece about the bloke and not the company but they spent more time on far more trivial stuff.

Was more engaged with the recent VICE "Who Killed WCW" 4 parter and virtually every episode of Dark Side of the Ring (also VICE) than the McMahon doc. Both worth seeking out.

Finished Snowfall last night.

Epic epic series.

Last few episodes just kept you wandering wtf is going on.

Wasnt expecting the ending like you said, but sad to see Franklin in that state.

Great actor

Been watching Brassic, recommended by someone as thought it would be my thing. It is my thing. Enjoying it a lot, just started the second series.

I'm midway through season 3, feel like it drops off a bit after half of season 2. Loved season 1 though.

For those that like to watch The Rings of Power, you might like this channel.

He does a lot of these including Morgoths history and the story of Beren and Luthien.

Heads up for this.

BBC Four are showing Threads on Wednesday. Apparently it's only been shown something like four times ever in the 40 years since it was made. All about a nuclear attack on Britain. Supposed to be grim but really good.

It should be mandatory viewing for anyone involved in the nuclear release process and anyone who somehow thinks a nuclear war is "winnable".

Extremely grim, but extremely powerful.

It was good, was out around the same time as the US version which was also pretty good, think it was talked about in Parliament and was definitely talked about in school, there is not a happy ending to either.

the US show that was out around the same time.

First time I watched this was a few years back and it stuck with me for weeks after, just relentlessly bleak (but fantastic)
