Jaspa Posted 18 May 2012 Posted 18 May 2012 Anyone who seriously wants Chelsea to win because of the war is an idiot of the highest ****ing order. This, but I still want Chelsea to win Don't see Wrexham, Swansea or Cardiff getting to anything this big eh?
The Doctor Posted 18 May 2012 Posted 18 May 2012 Hope Bayern win mostly because I dislike Chelsea and it'll make these "but they're English and representing us" people slightly miserable. Chelsea are hardly ****ing English, they're owned by a Russian, managed by an Italian and only 2 of the team they're likely to put out are English.
Amin Posted 18 May 2012 Posted 18 May 2012 I really don't feel the need to support a club team simply because their English, but I'll be supporting Chelsea. Mainly because I'd like to see Di Matteo win it and I don't like Spurs.

Chelsea are an English football club competing in the English Premier League. In England. Pretty English, that. :englandsmile4wf: :englandsmile4wf: :englandsmile4wf: :englandsmile4wf: :englandsmile4wf: :englandsmile4wf: :englandsmile4wf:

Also the team to have bought more foreign players than any other in England. I think Bayern will win simply because they have the better squad and the extra motivation of playing at home to tip it over the edge.

Only because Thatcher didn't quite get her way. Containing the incredibly English Swansea. which includes trips to Wales.
Ashley Posted 18 May 2012 Posted 18 May 2012 Chelsea are hardly English and have a very large C18 following without making it obvious. A very large majority of there fans are c****
StanSP Posted 18 May 2012 Posted 18 May 2012 Said it before and I'll say it again - I don't buy all the 'I'll support them because they are English'. Not a fan of that 'excuse', to be honest. So what if they are English? The criteria for supporting a team (even if a one-off match), to me, doesn't involve nationality of the side playing. I personally have no feeling (good or bad) towards Chelsea as a club, just perhaps certain individuals. As for Bayern, I love some of their players - Robben, Lahm, Ribery, Muller, Neuer and especially Bastian Schweinstieger are all top quality players. Although I'm disappointed to hear that Bastian might be out . Bayern to win 3-1. I hope they win.
Ozwin Posted 18 May 2012 Posted 18 May 2012 I hate how people say we should support the English sides and all that silly bollocks. They aren't representing anyone but themselves. Saying that I want Chelsea to win because Chelsea are 2/1 to win and I'm well getting on that.
Kitchandro Posted 18 May 2012 Posted 18 May 2012 I assume people are voting Chelsea because they saw the Barcelona semi-final and now conclude that it's 'fate'. I however cannot see anything other than a Bayern win, even after some of the dramatic events I've seen over the last few weeks. Chelsea have about 6 players out, and they've been a bit fortunate up until this point of the tournament. They haven't been impressive overall like Bayern have IMO. Can't say I really give a shit who wins, I don't like either team. I couldn't care less if Chelsea is an English club, I can't relate to Chelsea fans at all, can't stand them. Then again, if they won it would piss off UEFA, no doubt...
NiftyFox Posted 18 May 2012 Posted 18 May 2012 Anyone who seriously wants Chelsea to win because of the war is an idiot of the highest ****ing order. The war just adds to the hatred of Germans that's why so many Englishmen dislike Germany and their teams. Have you ever wondered why football hooliganism is at its greatest when England play Germany? It's a perfectly reasonable excuse not to suport Bayern, as I have already said History isn't forgotten.

I hate Arjen Robben because of the goddamn Dutch and their trade routes in 1652. I also hate Ribery.... the 100 years war lest we forget. And yes Hooliganism is rife when England play Germany because of ****** that can't forget. How many of the current Bayern squad served in the SS again?
MC Prussian Posted 18 May 2012 Posted 18 May 2012 I want Chelsea to win it, for three obvious reasons: a) Di Matteo is from my hometown b) I'd fvcking love to see Gayern fvck up the Bundesliga title, the German Cup final and the Champions League final in one season c) I can't stand Gayern (this one's for you, Rich )

You are blaming individuals to hating their country, I'm blaming Germany's society and culture as a whole for what they have done. Two very different points.

Two very different points. You're blaming a long extinct regime that has absolutely nothing to do with modern Germany. If everyone thought like you no one would ever move on and the entire World would hate England for the amount of wars we started elsewhere.
Dan Posted 18 May 2012 Posted 18 May 2012 A club who charges in the essence of £50 or a club who has a policy to make it affordable for all fans.

Du, mein Alter, bist ein totaler Wichser... History isn't forgotten in Germany, either. When they watch badly dubbed films from the USA, they actually cheer on the Americans (and the Brits, when they get a mention) against the Nazis. They are, for the vast, vast majority, thoroughly ashamed of what happened in the 20th Century and, whilst you don't see the USA offering apologies to the Native Americans for nearly wiping them out or the Spansh being contriite about wiping out native populations in South and Central America, the Germans, as a nation, have offered apologies and tried, in the small way they can, to make amends for their misdeeds. The Russians killed as many in Eastern Europe as the Germans did, and yet I haven't seen a Russian leader fall to his knees in Poland in apology (as Willi Brandt did in the 70s). Wankerish xenophobia aside, I shall maintain a neutrality, with the wish that an entertaining game takes place.
Danno Posted 18 May 2012 Posted 18 May 2012 Why is there always some waste of skin that just has to bring up the nazis in anything vaguely German? Shut the fück up.
Danno Posted 18 May 2012 Posted 18 May 2012 Oh and I hope Bayern win, Chelsea are nothing but a plastic club with awful fans... oh and they beat us. I hate teams who beat us.
Corky Posted 18 May 2012 Posted 18 May 2012 Chelsea, where Dennis Wise is hero, or Bayern. Definitely, Bayern to win. By a lot, hopefully.
Libertine Dream Posted 18 May 2012 Posted 18 May 2012 I hope Chelsea win so we can say we lost to the FA Cup winners, Champions League winners, La Liga winners, Europa League semi finalists this year as well as losing going out to last years FA Cup winners last year.
21st Century Fox Posted 18 May 2012 Posted 18 May 2012 I'm really torn, I wouldn't mind Chelsea to win just to piss off Spurs but I have a fondness for Bayern since staying with my friend in Munich a few years ago. The Bavarians are a nice lot too, strange though. I never really understood why they randomly throw Latin into their conversations.
