Corky Posted 23 August 2012 Share Posted 23 August 2012 Pearson doesn't talk about transfers in public before they are done. If this is true then it's a good move.
davieG Posted 23 August 2012 Share Posted 23 August 2012 NP is hardly likely to divulge transfer dealings with Stringer we all know he likes to keep things close to his chest. if the Stringer quote is true why would Pearson say that, why say anything he's pretty good at saying nothing. But you could be correct no one knows except Pearson.

glenny_fox Posted 23 August 2012 Share Posted 23 August 2012 I can't see us signing him, Liverpool will be asking for a couple of mil for him and i doubt Pearson would be prepared to pay that.

Happy Fox Posted 23 August 2012 Author Share Posted 23 August 2012 Another midfielder? Unless he is Tom Cleverley or Muzzy Izzet, no thanks You clearly haven't seen him play he is a very good defensive midfielder at this level. Still relatively young the pressure and burden at Liverpool is very high so him not establishing himself in the first team doesn't qualify him as being shit. Ric Flair Posted 23 August 2012 Share Posted 23 August 2012 I could see Pearson splashing out for the right player and he is a massive admirer of Spearing's. I'd love him here, him, King and Drinkwater in the middle would be very good.
MikeyT Posted 23 August 2012 Share Posted 23 August 2012 Just can't see this. Surely Spearing could go to a hell of a lot of Premier league clubs. As someone sad above, maybe not the top clubs but most others in that league.
jayfox26 Posted 23 August 2012 Share Posted 23 August 2012 Personally I don't think we need another midfielder and I don't rate him at all. Let him go to Bolton. Our priority is keeping hold of Moore. Only thing we may need is a loan CB until zw and SSL return.

I did see him play...almost every single game he played with us, since then I have seen him in several prem games in which he seems to just do a really dirty tackle and get sent off, I never said he was shit, I would just prefer to keep the midfield as it is and have James cement himself in that position

He is a defensive midfielder and would add a bite to the midfield something severely lacking since Neil Lennon was in the side.
