Beckford - will he go or will he stay?

Noises Gally was leaving yesterday, then people drivelled about it in a thread and came to the conclusion that he doesn't want to be here.

He said he wanted out himself on his Twitter at the end of last season.

Never saw any such thing from Gallagher, he spent a lot of time thanking us for his support and was training at Blackburn due to his families circumstances? If he did I can't remember it being seen on here, which is where it would of been posted, where he would have been hung, drawn and quartered. This isn't aimed at you Mack, but I feel that a fair few of our fans will make up any rumour, or go along with any story that they've heard just to try and strengthen their argument and not bother about what we actually know.

I think it went something along the lines of 'Time for a change' or something like that.

It was definitely said and mentioned on here at the time.

It was when he was getting dogs abuse from some of our idiot fans.

Is it just me that thinks that the Huddersfield CEO tweeting things like that is a bit unprofessional?

If anyone was unprofessional last night, it wasn't Huddersfield - or indeed Beckford.

Pearson has been wanting rid almost since day one. Why did he change his mind at the very last minute?

Only he knows, and I very much doubt he'll bother to tell us. Can't see Stringer being brave enough to ask him about it.

Probably because we couldn't bring in our target, or the Thais didn't sanction the deal that is two hypothetical scenarios..

At the end of the day, if these players don't want to be here, They shouldn't sign a fvckin contract.

To be fair, if Gary Glitter offered me 40k a week to be his house maid.......................................

Maybe this is a clever ploy from our management team, we use Gally and Beckford to distract huddersfield so they dont chase after other targets and sepnd any of their Rhodes money, thus making them less of a threat in the league

Didn't the same thing happen last season with SSL? When NP/Leicester pulled the plug at the last min.

Now we have Becks and Danns deals stopped at the 12th hour.

What's going on?

Cold feet from the management?

What effect will this have on team spirit?

It's all very strange, especially having players still with us who were, 24 hours ago, expecting to be somewhere else now.

Obviously the deals in question were not right for us. I can only assume the clubs involved were taking the p*ss and trying to get deals that were not adequate from a financial perspective for Leicester City.

What this will probably mean is we will try to do loan deals in a couple of weeks time ( or whenever ) when the loan window opens, to let players go and bring new ones in.

I am thinking credit to Nigel Pearson in demonstrating that no club should try to take the p*ss out of us and get away with it.

Well I think it will effect Beckford as apparently he'd signed on the line for them and clearly doesn't want to be here and clearly NP wants rid.

Everything was agreed and paperwork was apparently submitted by hudders for us then to try and change the terms of option to buy before transferring the registration. Knowing it was at the last minute we thought hudders would just accept this, they didn't and its back fired.

If what's going around is true I admire them for not being bullied into a deal that wasn't agreed in the first place.

In fairness, it was Leicester who pulled the plug and not Huddersfield.

That could mean a number of things.

1) Change of heart from Pearson or Beckford.

2) We wanted permanent and they wanted a loan.

3) We wanted a loan and they wanted permanent.

4) Both wanted a loan, but Huddersfield weren't prepared to enough of his wages.

We should see how this has affected Pearson and Beckford later on today, though I imagine it'll take all of Pearson's man management skills to make Beckford feel wanted again.

That's what I'm hoping as well AS. No point in getting rid of him if we're going to get (too) shafted financially.

This is make or break for Beckford as far as I'm concerned, fair enough if he's being pushed out the door by NP, it will make his life hard playing for the club but the best think Beckford can do is get his head down, work hard and prove he wants it.

My problem with Beckford is when he's good he's good but most of the time it looks like and it's perceived that he doesn't want it, can't be bothered and is very lazy.

Prove something Beckford. Work hard, get your head down, and prove all us doubters wrong.

Maybe it's just me, maybe I'm just a competitive bastard and like proving people wrong but I don't understand all the people who saying booing a player, slagging a player off, e.t.c demoralises them - for me it'd spur me on and I'd try harder, work harder, try and prove people wrong and metaphorically stick two fingers up at the doubters, I'd expect the same from professional footballers tbh.
