Leicester_Loyal Posted 4 September 2012 Posted 4 September 2012 JB will go and we'll get Le Fondre from Reading.
ibbosuk Posted 4 September 2012 Posted 4 September 2012 BOSS Simon Grayson will launch a second bid to bring Leicester’s Jermaine Beckford, 28, to Huddersfield when the loan window opens on Friday. http://www.dailystar...maine-Beckford/ Why would Leicester want to create a "Liverpool Senario" by getting rid of Beckford without having an adequate replacment ready to bringing in ? Waghorn and Shlupp are clearly not good enough in forward area's.
surrifox Posted 4 September 2012 Posted 4 September 2012 cox & billy sharp already gone out to forest & maynard at cardiff suspect that Maynard and Sharp are duds- available on loan after half a season
Ric Flair Posted 4 September 2012 Posted 4 September 2012 Grayson knows how to get the best out of him and Leeds would also be good option for him because of Becchio and because they love him. I personally want him to stay, but if he wants out then we must let him go to a club who a) will pay as much of his wages as possible and b) where he'll do well and give us the best chance of getting some money for him, even if that's at the sacrifice of him going to a supposed rival. Let's not forget that the Championship looks as evenly matched as i've ever seen it, with 12-14 clubs all looking as strong as each other as a bulk, so ok we don't want to improve other teams around us but what choice do we have? The way he played on Saturday shows how atrocious he can be when his heads not right, he nearly cost us victory. If he goes, then we must look at a replacement because Nugent is out of form, Vardy still finding his feet, Futacs unproven, Schlupp now a left back and Waghorn the absolute pits whose form and confidence is shot to pieces.
surrifox Posted 4 September 2012 Posted 4 September 2012 The Chief Executive actually stated that they didn't want to spend the money they got from the Rhodes sale on Beckford. He stated they have other plans with that money. I bet they have - getting a £2-£2.5 million player for eff all.
_Fatboyslow_ Posted 4 September 2012 Posted 4 September 2012 One thing that has been overlooked here is that despite appearing to have a acceptable offer for Beckford the deal was stopped as allegedly we could not get the replacement wanted. Surely this shows how strong a commitment the owners have as when all is said and done Beckford could have been sold and wags and schup used for back up, most would have been happy with that position and a fee quid saved to boot
Mark_w Posted 4 September 2012 Posted 4 September 2012 Waghorn and Shlupp are clearly not good enough in forward area's. How many games did they need in the last year or so to make that 'clear'? You can't say they clearly aren't good enough until they are given a decent run of games.
Jace Posted 4 September 2012 Posted 4 September 2012 Loan him to Liverpool, they are so desperate they are considering Heskey and then that way at least he's not going to score the winner when we are away to Huddersfield this season which we all know is certain to happen

Captain... Posted 4 September 2012 Posted 4 September 2012 Why has this moved to the main forum? Is it now official?
Jace Posted 4 September 2012 Posted 4 September 2012 You can only loan out players to football league clubs Good point!
Jace Posted 4 September 2012 Posted 4 September 2012 Why has this moved to the main forum? Is it now official? Think its because the window is shut there is less transfer talk and this is all that is still active might be wrong
Captain... Posted 4 September 2012 Posted 4 September 2012 Ah, the transfer rumours and gossip sub-forum has been closed. Ok, so still no news then.
Tielemans63 Posted 4 September 2012 Posted 4 September 2012 Why would Leicester want to create a "Liverpool Senario" by getting rid of Beckford without having an adequate replacment ready to bringing in ? Waghorn and Shlupp are clearly not good enough in forward area's. I don't think we will do 'a Liverpool'. The reason the deal fell through in the first place was because our loan target didn't materialise (reportedly we'd agreed to borrow Harry Kane from Spurs - but Norwich came in for him and we missed out) hence JB's move to Hudds was called off due to a lack if cover our end. I'm sure when the window reopens a shiny new striker will come in and JB will be off to Hudds.
Libertine Dream Posted 4 September 2012 Posted 4 September 2012 How many games did they need in the last year or so to make that 'clear'? You can't say they clearly aren't good enough until they are given a decent run of games. Surely the fact they aren't given a run of games/any games shows their not good enough. Waghorn can't hit the target in the warm up and Schlupp looked by far better at left back than he ever has up front against a Championship team.

So you think it's fair to judge people on their performances... in the warm up?
DarkTranquillity Posted 4 September 2012 Posted 4 September 2012 So you think it's fair to judge people on their performances... in the warm up? Think the point was that his shooting choices are appaling. In the warm up he can't hit the target, and we've seen the same during games. He's not good enough.
Libertine Dream Posted 4 September 2012 Posted 4 September 2012 So you think it's fair to judge people on their performances... in the warm up? Well I think it's pretty fair to judge that, he can't get near the target when he has all the time to pick his spot. Who knows what he'll do when there are others around him, a bobbling ball and the pressure of an actual game. We might get the miracle of a shot on target but its unlikely

cambridgefox Posted 4 September 2012 Posted 4 September 2012 Yeah, it's not like he scored in the last League game he started or anything. Was that for Leicester Tigers!
Soar Fox Posted 4 September 2012 Posted 4 September 2012 How many games did they need in the last year or so to make that 'clear'? You can't say they clearly aren't good enough until they are given a decent run of games. If Pearson thought they were good enough surely he'd give them a decent run of games. By picking Nugent, Vardy and Beckford ahead of them it probably means he thinks they are better choices.
