StarFox Posted 15 October 2012 Posted 15 October 2012 I think Gallagher is a distraction to have at the training ground. I'm not sure it's a coincidence that we started going on a good run without him in the squad.
5waller5 Posted 15 October 2012 Posted 15 October 2012 Doesn't stop people wanting Danns involved though. The difference is that Danns deserves to make the bench on his performances last season when he was in the top 2-3 players in the team, he now doesn't get to even warm the bench!! Whereas Gallagher (and I actually quite like him) has done little in his many opportunities to suggest he warrants a place. Neither should be starting, but if one of them makes the bench then it should be Danns for me.
dannythefox Posted 15 October 2012 Posted 15 October 2012 Gally is not good enough for us anymore, he's been a good players for us now its time to let him leave along with Wellens.
Fox92 Posted 15 October 2012 Posted 15 October 2012 Needed him back, really adds something. why the hell do some fans slag gallagher off if he plays again get behind him not boo him for **** sake he plays for us , call yourselves leicester fans you should be ashamed I just don't like him; he doesn't try which is the main thing for me. Pearson has re-installed an attitude in the current team where every player looks like they want it, they want it here, and Gallagher has never showed me this. Oh, and like I've said many times, I have never booed an individual. I think Gallagher is a distraction to have at the training ground. I'm not sure it's a coincidence that we started going on a good run without him in the squad. Totally agree.
Jimmy Posted 15 October 2012 Posted 15 October 2012 Gallagher is back today, after his seven appearances in Sheffield and his poxy one goal. Already started the banter on twitter with St Ledger. Doubt we will see him back on the bench though, but would be quite funny if he was and Danns still wasn't. 1 goal and 3 or 4 assists (I think) in 7 games is pretty good

Leicesterpool Posted 15 October 2012 Posted 15 October 2012 People have got to remember he's had a tough year off the field, the poor guy needs one final chance. How many chances as Waghorn had?

Gallagher has been with us for three seasons and has provided goals and assists on a healthy basis, despite his inconsistencies. Danns had a good period towards the end of last season but apart from that has been average. Neither are bad players and both have been replaced by better recruits but Gallagher is more worthy of a place than Danns in the squad.

Danns would slightly shade it for me to get the last place on the bench, i think he has better energy and is a better fit (in fact would have seemed a perfect fit at the end of last season into this side) .... But I don't mind Gally ..... As long as we can agree they'd both figure ahead of Wellens I'm happy!!!!
mkaiser1 Posted 15 October 2012 Posted 15 October 2012 Woah, woah, woah. Danns deserves to make the bench 'on his performances last season'? Come on. I agree - I mean last season Jimmy Saville was respected and you didn't need a French Oral to pass GCSE Maths. The times have changed.
Tielemans63 Posted 15 October 2012 Posted 15 October 2012 I think, considering the heartbreak he and his missus went through last season, it's no wonder he wasn't quite there at times. Some fans seemed to be particularly vitriolic towards Gally last year despite knowing full well that Hayley had lost twins - pathetic.

But he has been poor since before what happened last season
foxile5 Posted 15 October 2012 Posted 15 October 2012 Decent point, well made. But he has been poor since before what happened last season In particular there is a big, fat, blonde haired pig in the kop....ex-military....who does nothing but abuse Gallagher when he's playing. It's sickening.

GingerrrFox Posted 15 October 2012 Posted 15 October 2012 Selllll Gallagher, Paul Gallagher I just don't think you understand, He's shit is Gallagher, Paul Gallagher The worst right winger in the land!!!!!
RumbleFox Posted 16 October 2012 Posted 16 October 2012 Jesus some of you pathetic little cretins. Do you enjoy slagging people of? Does it make you feel big? Are your penises really that small? We all know mine's tiny but I try not to hate the world. Hasn't Gally scored over ten goals for us from midfield for three years in a row? And that was in a side not always performing and he was not a starter every week. I am not saying he is the best player in the world and I would not put him back into the team right now but I really do not understand the vitriol and bile fuelled hatred some people have againsty him. Do you need to talk about your feelings? Were you not hugged enough as children? You do realise you just look silly? Good luck Gally, whatever happens. X

As always spot on, probably about your tiny willy too...but anyways. I have to agree! Gally has the quality to be an excellent player for us. Some of his goals have been outstanding and to get 10+ 3 years running is impressive. I think though, that for Gally it is within his best interest to move on. Not because he is not good enough because he is, but because our fans have been absolutely disgraceful - nobody should have to put up with that level of criticism, especially as performances haven't been as bad as some.
Happy Fox Posted 16 October 2012 Posted 16 October 2012 He isn't a bad player we just have better options now likewise in central midfield and Wellens may find it hard to get into the side as well. There are two options imo be be back up players here, or move on no hard feeling's either way.
Mack Posted 16 October 2012 Posted 16 October 2012 I thought he was back because he got injured? When loan players get injured they return to the parent club for treatment.
Julian Joachim Jr Shabadoo Posted 16 October 2012 Posted 16 October 2012 I think Gallagher is a distraction to have at the training ground. I'm not sure it's a coincidence that we started going on a good run without him in the squad. Very true. I remember a couple of interviews with players last season saying "Gally's great, he's the prankster of the squad" etc., and apart from the odd wonder goal he doesn't seem to provide much or take his role seriously. The rest of the regular squad at the moment seems to be far more motivated and hard working than that of last season. Unless Gallagher was to really turn it around, I wouldn't miss him from the team. No irrational hate for him like some fans have, but as a player, I don't think he's good enough for what we're achieving at the moment
Guest Col city fan Posted 16 October 2012 Posted 16 October 2012 I've said it before and ill say it again. It's a long and tough season. We NEED a squad to compete. By all accounts, Gally did an ok job at a Sheffield team who are doing well in League One. This would have improved his level of fitness and probably his confidence through getting playing time. Exactly the right thing to do by Pearson IMO. We will continue to pick up injuries, and players form will dip. Stop doing the usual thing of slagging off players just because they seem to be on the brink of leaving and get behind THE WHOLE SQUAD. We may well need Danns, Wellens, Gally this season. Who knows, maybe even Beckford? I don't hold much stock by this argument that certain players will be disruptive because they aren't playing. I'm sure that Pearson takes disruption and manages it in his own way. I've never been a big Gally fan, but if he needs to appear in a Leicester shirt, he will get my full backing and I would expect him to perform like he was playing for his place. Pearson said right from the start that any success this season will be a SQUAD effort. I fully agree.
RumbleFox Posted 16 October 2012 Posted 16 October 2012 I know I am a little simple, well actually, probably more than a little and I am not saying we should have him back in the team as I think we look great at the moment it's just the over the top hatred and personal comments about players that I can't stand. And this obsession with someone "not caring" because they don't run around like Hume or Waggy. I am a pretty quiet person and certainly don't run around like a absolute disabled pirate but I feel I do a good job and I certainly care about the job that I do. It just annoys me when people start slagging off players in a far too over the top manner and when they seem to take such joy in it. Gally has made a good contribution to this club in my opinion and does not deserve the treatrment he has had from some fans. It's just sad, pathetic (probably overweight and ugly) armchair fans annoyed at their own lack of achievement who like to vent their frustrations on anyone who's jib they don't like the cut of and it is sad and losery and trust me, I know a thing or two about loseryness so I know what I'm talking about. My penis is the size of a mini walnut whip for Christ's sake!!! I mean it, it looks like an under developed acorn. Leave me alone alright, I'm a nice guy! Why God why!?!?! Why must you smite me so? Mum! Mum!!!! Mum I want a hug. The bigger boys are laughing at me again and I tried to ignore them like you said but it's hard when deep down I admire tham all so damn much. They hit me and it feels like a kiss. X X
