Typical - go looking for the ball you muppet, don't just wait around for something to happen - if they didn't let him take the corners, badly, he must have struggled for a touch

On loan for another month according to his twitter.

Good news, not saying it is specifically them but having Gally and Wellens away from the squad is a good thing, they think they are slightly better than they are IMO.

Sorry, but that is a ridiculous statement. Now having lots of the first team squad frustrated and kicking their heels is not a good thing, so it is good to get them out and playing, like Beckford, gally, wellens, and giving them game time. But to suggest our current run has anything to do with them not being here is nonsense

Fans frustrate me so much, when he flies in a 35 yarder against Palace everyone was saying how great he is, then when he doesnt put himself forward for a 50/50 hes a woss with no talent?

All three have considerable strengths but they all have major weaknesses in certain situations and it is no coincidence that we are doing so well without them.

We're doing well because we've deveoped some consistency. Beckford and Gallagher are anything but consistent and none of them really fit naturally into the kind of team we've evolved.

They may fit better into situations elsewhere but they don't fit the side we've got which is tailored to consistency, pace, fast passing, movement and all-round industry whether we've got the ball or not.

Just dwell on it a moment and ask if Beckford, Gallagher and Wellens are really equipped for all that?

A fully firing Beckford would fit into this side, easily, the problem is he has never been firing on all cylinders for us.

... But the implication was that by them not even being around the club we were playing better. That was what I found ridiculous.

I don't think they should be in the first team, but if they wanted to Beckford and wellens could be on the bench, and do a job for us this season if form and injuries require a change. Even gally and Danns could, if they can find some form. These are not bad players and have all proved themselves at this level. The best thing they could do is go out on loan, show np what they have got, come back and fight for their place. Of the 4 mentioned, I think we are most likely to see wellens in the blue shirt again, with a player like knocky and with vardy dropping deeper he will have more options to get the ball forward quickly, and I also see him playing well in this formation, as well as being able to control a game once we have the lead.

I doubt we will see Gallagher again, he doesn't really want to be here and we have far superior attacking options at the moment, and Danns just doesn't fit this playing philosophy.

2 things wrong with that; 1. You're relying on a scenario of ifs and maybes which is all very nice but its that kind of consistency that stops these players from being good premier league players. 2. Beckford is lazy and uncommitted so there is absolutely no way he would fit into this team.

However, I agree with you that its far too simplistic a view to think that we are doing better without them at the club. Beckford is the only one out of the 3 away on loan who didn't want to be here.

Of course there are ifs in there, if there wasn't then there would be on discussion.

I also disagree that Beckford is lazy, he was praised a number of times for his chasing down and harassing of defenders, he can and will do it, his problem is his consistency and actual ability, if he can improve on that and start playing the way he can, he could thrive in this team. That is a big if and could, but it is definitely possible.

To me he epitomises the average inconsistant Championship standard player.

For all his obvious technical qualitys, his physical & mental weakness make him an average player. If he was more committed to the physical side of the game & gave 100% I think he would be a Premiership player, however, he doesn't & he is a player that I associate our up & down fortunes with just like Wellens.

In one week you can leave a match believeing that he is a top player then the next week watch a totally uncommitted performance & leave thinking he is utter dogshiite.

Average is not where any team want to be, & I am fed up of paying over the odds to watch average! This new young hungry Pearson team has a few players unlike Ghallagher who may have top filght carrers ahead.

It's possible that'll I'll win the lottery on Saturday, and, incidently about as likely as Jermaine Beckford "thriving" at Leicester City.

The problem for me, is his confidence, he may have the swagger but i think there's a fragile character underneath that swagger and he needs to feel part of a team.
