Heart-Shaped Fox Posted 23 September 2012 Posted 23 September 2012 To give him the whole summer and let him spend a fair bit then sack him is crazy. Especially as they aren't doing bad in the league.
Tom17LCFC Posted 23 September 2012 Posted 23 September 2012 2nd in the league and talk of being sacked?! Ridiculous. Saying that, he should have been sacked a long, long time ago.
Guest nathan. Posted 23 September 2012 Posted 23 September 2012 Something strange going on there for sure
Leicesterpool Posted 24 September 2012 Posted 24 September 2012 We'll they should get a few good applications, Alan Curbishley is due back so that could be his call.
Stig the Lawnmower Posted 24 September 2012 Posted 24 September 2012 Is this the championship club that has Harry lined up? doubt it myself
Happy Fox Posted 24 September 2012 Posted 24 September 2012 They probably have the finances to get a manager who is currently in a job my tip would be Ian Holloway.
Corky Posted 24 September 2012 Posted 24 September 2012 Apparently he had to get 16 points in his first 7 games.
whoareyaaa Posted 24 September 2012 Posted 24 September 2012 Is this the championship club that has Harry lined up? doubt it myself Sounds perfect for Arry all the dodgy deals going on and that...
RonnieTodger Posted 24 September 2012 Posted 24 September 2012 What an absolute joke Venkys are. He's exceeded many's expectations this season, and couldn't have done much better. Why didn't they sack him in the summer instead of wasting the summer months on building a new squad.
topharry123 Posted 24 September 2012 Posted 24 September 2012 They shold have sacked him last year, but after they didn't it is silly to even talk about him going now. They're in a good position and he has built his team. No good can come out of them getting rid of him now.
CosbehFox Posted 24 September 2012 Posted 24 September 2012 So, no truth in it at all, then... The gangster stuff I believe to be untrue. However, the stuff about Jerome Anderson's control of the club does appear very real. He is of course Steve Kean's agent. Some of their transfer deals are clear signs of an agent making sure his clients get clubs for exchange of other transfer deals (Mandaric is the same....every noticed how his clubs sign obscure Portuguese players who never feature?). I think it's six Portuguese players signed in the off season and only one player of that six has a notable record to English football. Even Kean admitted himself that when they signed an additional two Portuguese lads on deadline day, he had not even seen them play. To add to this, the Venkys are refusing to play players who are due bonuses from their contract hitting certain appearance clauses etc. Rovers fans' problems with Kean is largely not with the performances. It's that the club is being used as a puppet and Kean is the face of it all. His lack of integrity has led to staff being sacked and ran out of the club.
Super_horns Posted 24 September 2012 Posted 24 September 2012 They shold have sacked him last year, but after they didn't it is silly to even talk about him going now. They're in a good position and he has built his team. No good can come out of them getting rid of him now. Fans still seem to hate him but I agree...maybe they are worried about the lack of crowds?
Libertine Dream Posted 24 September 2012 Posted 24 September 2012 Who would actually want to go there anyway?
Corky Posted 24 September 2012 Posted 24 September 2012 Who would actually want to go there anyway? They;ve got money to spend, in a very good league position, and they would be liked immediately because they aren't Steve Kean.
Fox92 Posted 25 September 2012 Posted 25 September 2012 I've just read (so this is apparently) he is on the 'brink of sack'. Stupid if you ask me. Give him the summer, the money and the backing to build his team which arn't doing exactly poor in the league and now he's set for more talks. I'm pretty sure he can't win, especially with the fans, and although I understand him not wanting to leave Blackburn maybe it is the best option for all parties. It would serve the fans right if he left, a new manager come in and was poor. Can't see Redknapp going either, he isn't a mug, and he isn't a 'yes man'.
PegguyArphexad Posted 28 September 2012 Posted 28 September 2012 He is gone http://www.goal.com/en-gb/news/2897/championship/2012/09/28/3410441/breaking-news-steve-kean-forced-to-resign-as-blackburn?source=breakingnews
GLC Posted 28 September 2012 Posted 28 September 2012 Absolutely disgusting the way he's been treated!
marty78 Posted 28 September 2012 Posted 28 September 2012 What strange timing the day before a game. Hopefully they go for Holloway and disrupt Blackpool's season as well.
goose2010 Posted 28 September 2012 Posted 28 September 2012 Who would want that job?! Terrible fans massive expectation and dodgy owners sounds like a job for Sven
Leicester_Loyal Posted 28 September 2012 Posted 28 September 2012 He told lie after lie after lie. Lied to the fans and generally talked so much shit. They'll do much better now he has gone.
Libertine Posted 28 September 2012 Posted 28 September 2012 Great timing. Consummate pros, the Venkys.
