Bayfox Posted 15 March 2013 Posted 15 March 2013 Cheers for the heads up lads, if you could give me a bit of an idea where the bar is I'd appreciate it  Google foxes arms should come up with plenty of info. Maps reviews etc.
FoxesAreBlue Posted 27 March 2013 Posted 27 March 2013 Anybody know any hotels clost to/right on the main drag in magaluf? I don't even know what the main resort is called!!
Bayfox Posted 27 March 2013 Posted 27 March 2013 Magaluf is the resort. But try the barcelo hotel chain in torra nova. Headland between palma nova and magaluf.
Tom17LCFC Posted 28 March 2013 Posted 28 March 2013 Anyone been Zante? Yeah great laugh, cheap as anything as well. I've only been to Zante but from what my mates have said I'd wager that all the islands (Malia, Kos, Zante etc) are pretty much all the same. Wanna try Maga hopefully in the summer.
FoxesAreBlue Posted 28 March 2013 Posted 28 March 2013 Anyone been Zante? Yep, mates stag do last year. Amazing, check out Dados Hotel - looks a dump but VERY GOOD. 2 mins from the main strip, good pool, good pool bar, close to beach and amazing atmosphere. Unforgettable holiday. Magaluf is the resort. But try the barcelo hotel chain in torra nova. Headland between palma nova and magaluf. Cheers
RobHawk Posted 28 March 2013 Posted 28 March 2013 there is a group of us going to see a mate who moved out there about 3 years ago, ive never been before so ive just let the rest organise where we go, i think it involves spending time at- Bangkok Ao Nang Railay Koh Phi Phi Koh Lanta Koh Lipe Phuket have you been before? i cant wait, think its going to be better than my expectations. I went last year! Would definitely recommend a trip up to Chaing Mai!! Much nicer and not so busy version of Bangkok but the Zoo and the night markets were awesome!
Tincy Posted 28 March 2013 Posted 28 March 2013 Off to Tunisia in July with the mrs for 10 days. Anyone been before??
Ozwin Posted 28 March 2013 Author Posted 28 March 2013 Last one I promise. Gran Canaria, anyone been? It seems to be the overwealming favorite but I always thought it was for older people and didn't really compare to the other big destinations. May be completely off the mark though.

Been to Maspalomas on the south of the island. We stayed at Meloneras, which is on one side of the dunes & a little up-market. The other side of the dunes & a short walk away is Playa del Ingles.........which was pretty wild but good.
Unabomber Posted 31 March 2013 Posted 31 March 2013 I'm going to Brussels with some mates in May, and we are going to go to Bruges for a day but I was wondering whether or not it was also worth visiting Ghent? If anyone has been to Belgium and has any ideas or opinions it would be good to hear them.
David Guiza Posted 2 April 2013 Posted 2 April 2013 Off to the states in June for 18days, and have filled out an ESTA form (I believe it's called?), however I have seen conflicting reports that say that particular form alone is not sufficient. Does anybody know anymore about what sort of visa, or whatever else, I will require? Thanks in advance.

If anyone has been to Belgium and has any ideas or opinions it would be good to hear them. My mate said Ghent is really nice like Bruges but not as full of tourists. I think it was Ghent anyway. Does anybody know anymore about what sort of visa, or whatever else, I will require? Thanks in advance. You should be fine with an ESTA form unless you fit any of the ineligibility criteria: Travelers who have been arrested, even if the arrest did not result in a criminal conviction, those with criminal records, (the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act does not apply to U.S. visa law), certain serious communicable illnesses, those who have been refused admission into, or have been deported from, the United States, or have previously overstayed on the VWP are not eligible to travel visa free under the Visa Waiver Program. If in doubt, trust the FCO page where ever you travel. There's also more info here.

Unabomber Posted 3 April 2013 Posted 3 April 2013 If you like Bruges, you'll probably like Ghent too. Yeah, we are only going for 4 nights and definitely going to go to Bruges so I am debating whether or not it is worth going to Ghent too.

It's around $14 if I remember correctly. Job done.
Uncle Albert Posted 4 April 2013 Posted 4 April 2013 Few friends and I are thinking of going skiing next Jan/Feb and 4 of us have never been before, was wondering if anyone would recommend somewhere where it would be a good starting place, a nice area for 8 lads to rent a house and lively place? Someone recommended Meribél three valleys?

Someone recommended Meribél three valleys? I tend to go where my mate organises it! I've got a friend who did two ski seasons as a rep and goes at least once a year so I'll ask him where he'd recommend. Off the top of my head you'll pay a lot more for beer etc. in France than, say, Austria. He also did Slovakia last year (sadly I couldn't make it) and while it was colder it was a lot cheaper (plus a more interesting country). No idea how lively it was though.
Jiggers the Fox Posted 4 April 2013 Posted 4 April 2013 Off to Sorrento in July with the other half. Expecting good things!
