Peterborough pre-match ponderings

Recommended Posts

Nuts to Marbella and the 'gung-ho' brigade.

I want to see another controlled and well thought out performance, defensively solid and looking to attack with pace.

If we go all-out against Peterborough, God knows what could happen.

I trust Nige to think the tactics through carefully and to stop us losing away from home. For this reason, I'd pick James over King for this one.

A controlled, sensible performance may yield a close win.

It's not about being "gung-ho", it's about not getting a goal then sitting back and inviting pressure on ourselves. We have the capabilities, as we've shown this season, to score early and remain in complete control and making it comfortable for ourselves. Why would we want to "park the bus" at 2-0 up?

I don't expect us to cruise it, nor do I expect us to shut up shop and sit back should we be in control of the game and see out time.

4 4 2 then!!

Its all about keep ball when you are in front. Hopeful james will start and King/Dyer on for Knocky/Marshall later.marshall in particular needs to really get stuck in and show some steel as well as his basic ability.Frankly I do not want to see Waggy or Vardy unless we are three up with 10 minutes left

Fully fit squad :yahoo:

Who's picture do they put on the back of today's Mercury, not James, not Moore, not Whitbread....it was ST LEDGER!!!!

Yeah boy

Oh god. Just as 'RDL - Morgan - Keane - Konch' have been phenomenal

Never understood the SSL love-in among some.

He's ok, he's not bad. nothing spectacular, there's a reason he's hardly ever played above mid-table in the Championship, because that's about his level.

Yeah he's average but they go on about the fact that he plays for Ireland...like that's the gold standard of quality

Thanks Corky, saved me the bother, though I do think Col is on a bit of a wind up.......

Either that or the cold weather has got to his 'nuts' and severely reduced his capacity for comprehension and rational thought....... :dunno:
