Carl the Llama Posted 22 March 2013 Posted 22 March 2013 Adrian Chiles is already in overconfident mode: "looking at the table, it's pretty obvious England should go to Montenegro and win, and take control of the group". Is that the same Montenegro who are 2 points ahead of us right now, and who we drew 0-0 and 2-2 with at home and away respectively in the Euro 2012 qualifiers?

Indeed Montenegro are no mugs, but England are actually playing well at the moment. I think we are more than capable of getting a win, both games we dominated so if we can sort out the finishing we should win. It would be a disappointment if we didn't win.
Finnegan Posted 22 March 2013 Posted 22 March 2013 cheeky bit of wuming from Lineker. "Can't see anyone living with us in the World Cup now."
Corky Posted 22 March 2013 Posted 22 March 2013 Team lost some fluency with the changes, but we could've had more. Great boost for goal difference should it come down to that, with Montenegro having played San Marino twice.
Leicesterpool Posted 22 March 2013 Posted 22 March 2013 Most one sided game i've seen! disappointed we didn't get double figures though!
Guest shearfox Posted 22 March 2013 Posted 22 March 2013 Most one sided game i've seen! disappointed we didn't get double figures though! 8-0 win away is good against anyone...
Corky Posted 22 March 2013 Posted 22 March 2013 Most one sided game i've seen! disappointed we didn't get double figures though! Says the boy fearing a 0-0 before the game.
Daggers Posted 22 March 2013 Posted 22 March 2013 cheeky bit of wuming from Lineker. "Can't see anyone living with us in the World Cup now." Surprised at you - there was a far better match to be watching
Guest Bilo Posted 22 March 2013 Posted 22 March 2013 Getting to half time with the scores level would be like winning the World Cup for San Marino.
Guest shearfox Posted 22 March 2013 Posted 22 March 2013 This England team looks alot slicker in and around the box, even with 5 or so players missing, the young guys coming through now are quite exciting.
Finnegan Posted 22 March 2013 Posted 22 March 2013 Surprised at you - there was a far better match to be watching Oh I watched the Wales game (see the other thread,) but I was reading the BBC website afterwards and apparently - according to the live feed - Lineker tweeted the above. Made me chuckle.
Tom17LCFC Posted 25 March 2013 Posted 25 March 2013 Montenegro playing the mind games then. Not gonna be an easy one but reckon we'll sneak it.
SystonFox Posted 25 March 2013 Posted 25 March 2013 what times KO tomorrow and is it on the televisual?
Super_horns Posted 25 March 2013 Posted 25 March 2013 Montenegro playing the mind games then. Not gonna be an easy one but reckon we'll sneak it. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/21927972 Sounds like it - taking a leaf out of Fergie's book?
ScouseFox Posted 25 March 2013 Posted 25 March 2013 I watched Montenegro on a stream for about an hour on Friday because I had a bet on it. They were fùcking awful, scored a lucky goal from a set piece and carried on being fúcking awful until the finish. Against Moldova. We beat Moldova 5-0 without even trying to try. Unless they played reserves or were going easy in preparation for us, we have nothing to worry about.
AyewJoking Posted 25 March 2013 Posted 25 March 2013 England to start well and go 2-0 up by half time, take foot off gas and generally dick around in second half and draw 2-2.
Webbo Posted 25 March 2013 Posted 25 March 2013 Going to be a tight goalless draw Like the San Marino game?
Leicesterpool Posted 25 March 2013 Posted 25 March 2013 Like the San Marino game? Yes because if I say 0-0, we'll probably win 8-0!
MooseBreath Posted 26 March 2013 Posted 26 March 2013 Interesting game tonight, one where we really need a result. I suppose one of the good thongs about how far England have fallen is that games like tonight actually become reasonable prospects. Usually we'd see a laboured draw or an ugly narrow win against a team plating 10 at the back, but nowadays I think Montenegro will fancy it and it could make for a decent game.
purpleronnie Posted 26 March 2013 Posted 26 March 2013 well if we can't beat Montenegro there isnt much hope for us at the WC....if we get there.
