dmayne7 Posted 4 May 2013 Posted 4 May 2013 but what happens if say spurs/man u recall keane & kane would you not use our returning loanees?? Why would they recall them? They're both young lads with a chance to play in huge playoff games with the possibility of playing at Wembley. Makes great sense. Keane should be available if he was signed on loan untl the end of the season as it is automatically extended until the loan club has finished all its games. Not sure about Kane
cc_star Posted 4 May 2013 Posted 4 May 2013 but what happens if say spurs/man u recall keane & kane would you not use our returning loanees?? They don't need 'em, pretty sure they're ok for the playoffs, although I think shakey said they need to go back and look at the paperwork If Keane isn't able to play I'd prefer SSL to Whitbread, but I'm not interested in Becks & Danns.
Merging Cultures Posted 4 May 2013 Posted 4 May 2013 He's not happy to be on the bench, he wants to pick the team with him in it as much as I'm bewildered by Wood & Kane... along with scratching my head at nugent playing outside left... I wouldn't let any of the returning loanees within a mile of our matchday squad that got us where we are... They're ok to go on holiday as far as I'm concened I am with you on this. Don't mess with a winning formula, and risk have them damage morale.
GorlestonFox Posted 4 May 2013 Posted 4 May 2013 Shakey seems confident that De laet will be avaliable
peach0000 Posted 4 May 2013 Posted 4 May 2013 I would actually start beckford he's in form and might score a few in the play offs. I would also start SSL if de laet is out.

I'd prefer Moore to both of them.
Guest Posted 4 May 2013 Posted 4 May 2013 Watford dont seem to have a keeper Yes they do. The keeper who couldn't play today is back for the Leicester game. Zola has already said he's okay.
GorlestonFox Posted 4 May 2013 Posted 4 May 2013 Beckford on the bench vs Watford anyone ? After the season he's had. It would be an insult not to be
marko Posted 5 May 2013 Posted 5 May 2013 Not for me. I'd rather give the players who've got us there a chance.
peach0000 Posted 5 May 2013 Posted 5 May 2013 I would play beckford he is in better form than wood, nugent or schlupp so its worth a go in my opinion.
theessexfox Posted 5 May 2013 Posted 5 May 2013 Sends out a dreadful message to the other players. Not for me.
Guesty Posted 5 May 2013 Posted 5 May 2013 No, irrelevant of the reasons why they were sent out on loan I think the players who got us here should play (unless we have a bunch of injuries and suspensions).
ADK Posted 5 May 2013 Posted 5 May 2013 I'd give Becks a place on the bench, seemed a nice guy on the FLS, performs in televised matches too.
Happy Fox Posted 5 May 2013 Posted 5 May 2013 Wood still doesn't look like he has recovered from that injury, is he still playing with it, if so why?
LCFC_FAN_1995 Posted 5 May 2013 Posted 5 May 2013 I'd love Keane here. Danns and Beckford to go. SSL as a back-up, but if he wants first team then let go Kane, not long signed a contract, maybe loan him again, who knows
Steven Posted 5 May 2013 Posted 5 May 2013 Sends out a dreadful message to the other players. Not for me. Three wins in 17 sends more of a dreadful message.
ADK Posted 5 May 2013 Posted 5 May 2013 All it says is "this lad went out on loan and did well so he's worth a place on the bench"
featherman Posted 5 May 2013 Posted 5 May 2013 if i am not mistaken if he plays one more game we will have to pay everton 1.5million as after a certain amount of games this kicks in.also if we are to get any money back on him it more lightly to be nearer 2.5m than 4m so its a no brainer.
neiltheblue Posted 5 May 2013 Posted 5 May 2013 Is the loan window open? Can Watford loan another goalkeeper? .Almunia should be fit unfortunately
GorlestonFox Posted 5 May 2013 Posted 5 May 2013 All it says is "this lad went out on loan and did well so he's worth a place on the bench" Agreed. If he's in better form than another player.... surely the form player should get the nod?
Guest Posted 5 May 2013 Posted 5 May 2013 I would play beckford he is in better form than wood, nugent or schlupp so its worth a go in my opinion. Are you Jermaine Beckford?
Mark_w Posted 5 May 2013 Posted 5 May 2013 Beckford doesn't deserve to be playing for us in the Play-Offs, same goes for Danns and the other players who have done nothing to get us there.
