Fox92 Posted 14 June 2013 Posted 14 June 2013 It won't be the crisis people are predicting if Kasper leaves on a free. He will give his all for us next season regardless of what happens. We're more likely to get promoted with him in the nets than somebody average like Luke Steele. Luke Steele isn't average. He is as good as Kasper, imo. He doesn't play behind that good of a defence, where as Kasper does.
Bert Posted 14 June 2013 Posted 14 June 2013 I thought Bert said that if he'd wanted to go to Hull he would have handed in a transfer request. So that's Bert assuming that he doesn't want to go to Hull because of this.Wasn't an assumption as such.
Simo86 Posted 14 June 2013 Posted 14 June 2013 Wasn't an assumption as such. Fair enough, he might just not want to lose his loyalty bonus by handing in a transfer request
dmayne7 Posted 14 June 2013 Posted 14 June 2013 People saying that Hobbs isn't that great; he was captaining Hull at the back end of the season and when you're a young player it clearly suggests that Steve Bruce has faith in him to make the step up so doubtful that he'd be offered plus £2mill
luke the fox Posted 14 June 2013 Posted 14 June 2013 Look at that kaspers staying. It's not like I knew this the whole time
StrovolosTiger Posted 14 June 2013 Posted 14 June 2013 Papers in Romania are saying we have agreed a fee with Citeh for Costel Pantilimon. If true that will definitely end our interest in Schmeichel.
Mack Posted 14 June 2013 Posted 14 June 2013 Papers in Romania are saying we have agreed a fee with Citeh for Costel Pantilimon. If true that will definitely end our interest in Schmeichel. Good, now jog along. And hurry up and get relegated while you are at it!

Raw Dykes Posted 14 June 2013 Posted 14 June 2013 Papers in Romania are saying we have agreed a fee with Citeh for Costel Pantilimon. If true that will definitely end our interest in Schmeichel. Good news. Maybe you can finally bugger off now, but I strongly doubt that.
Out Foxed Posted 14 June 2013 Posted 14 June 2013 Don't think so. Rumour has it we're now looking at David Forde and we have already had a bid for McGregor accepted. you're shitty team is in the prem now. kindly do one of this site. you add nothing.

This is all talk, 3 bids tell me that you want Schmeichel pretty bad! I will guarantee a fourth bid, Maybe by now Dull have realized that we will not be bullied. Silly thing is we proberly are willing to sell, but only at the right price, Not silly bargain basement prices, My guess is if you get serious price wise he could be yours, but from what I am hearing Kasper would prefer a move to a established Premier League team.

kingfox Posted 14 June 2013 Posted 14 June 2013 If they offered £2M + Hobbs, we should have sold him.
NewburyFox Posted 14 June 2013 Posted 14 June 2013 If they offered £2M + Hobbs, we should have sold him. I agree tbh. We'd solve the problem of who to play alongside Wes, get reasonable money with which we could easily replace Kasper with money to spare and get his wages off the wage bill all in one deal. We would've been daft to reject that.

Although I have to ask, Romanian newspapers - are they reliable?
Harry - LCFC Posted 14 June 2013 Posted 14 June 2013 Hoofing Hobbs no thanks. No nonsense Row Z, type of defender. BORING. The first duty of a defender is to defend, if that means he chooses to clear the ball instead of passing it occasionally then I don't mind. A defender's responsibility is certainly not be entertaining, in fact their task is to be "boring" although I personally find last ditch tackles and blocks rather exciting.

You want a defender who is capable of bringing the ball out of defence, and picking good crucial passes. Hobbs didn't do that when he was with us, he would smash it in the stands too often for my liking, too boring. Vitor, St Ledger and Keane are my type of defenders.

I accept that was a weakness to his game but I'm more interested in his ability to stop the opposition from scoring, player of the 09/10 season shows how capable he was for me. I just don't think it's vital that a CB can pass the ball brilliantly, important but not a must. He wasn't that bad anyway and could probably get better in the current team. I also think he'd be even better alongside Morgan who seems to have had a very positive impact on Keane who I also admire.

I agree!A fully fit St Ledger is the best football playing CB in the Championship. Just watch him have stormer of a season when he goes to another club. Sir Kenneth has predicted!

But I live in Manchester and I've just queried a couple of Man Citeh fan parents at my son's school and they both said they'd heard it was done and sorted between the clubs.
Jace Posted 14 June 2013 Posted 14 June 2013 Whats the point in Steve Bruce making bids for Kasper if the Hull chairman refuses to do business with Leicester?
