hackneyfox Posted 13 June 2013 Posted 13 June 2013 Apparently it was Hobbs who was offered in the deal Most on here seemed to think NFP would jump at the chance of Hobbs as he knows him, gets the best out of him and we need a CB. Odd that we've turned this down unless NFP has someone else in mind, wants the cash and Schmeichel is happy to sign an extension.

It might be the case that we want more money plus Hobbs or straight cash and Hull don't want to play ball
Happy Fox Posted 13 June 2013 Posted 13 June 2013 Kasper is more important than Hobbs. Fantastic news he is staying, he is one of the players in our team that will give us a chance of getting promotion.
Father Ted Posted 13 June 2013 Posted 13 June 2013 I know for a fact that Jack Hobbs was having things done to his house in Quorn in the last month or so... his parents still live there. A return would be easy for him.

Well he's not going to Hull. Still plenty of time left to go to another club. Fingers crossed he stays though
ealingfox Posted 13 June 2013 Posted 13 June 2013 I'm hoping this can only be a good and promising thing. Either/Or: - We have more money than is thought. - We are in a better shape regarding FFP than is thought. - We are sticking to our guns and not dealing with Hull, or waiting for an offer that's actually respectful. - NP has targets in mind (or is already sewing them up) so Hobbs not a game-changer. - We are trying to tempt Hull into a big bid to test our 'resolve', which will probably end up being a bit extortionate. - We are MASSIVE.
Happy Fox Posted 13 June 2013 Posted 13 June 2013 Well he's not going to Hull. Still plenty of time left to go to another club. Fingers crossed he stays though It would have to be an established prem club though cannot think of too many prem clubs with a first choice keeper vacancy available maybe Swansea if Vorm leaves, but imo it is likely he is going to be here.

I agree mate, just saying there's a long time to go that's all
Swalker Posted 13 June 2013 Posted 13 June 2013 Comforting that if Kasper did want to go surely by a 3rd offer he would have put a transfer request in. So I reckon he wants to stay
Bert Posted 13 June 2013 Posted 13 June 2013 Comforting that if Kasper did want to go surely by a 3rd offer he would have put a transfer request in. So I reckon he wants to stayOr just doesn't wanna go to Hull.
MPH Posted 13 June 2013 Posted 13 June 2013 Amusingly, if it was Hobbs that was offered in the deal, then Hull have just alerted us to his potential availability...
ealingfox Posted 13 June 2013 Posted 13 June 2013 Amusingly, if it was Hobbs that was offered in the deal, then Hull have just alerted us to his potential availability... Do you really think that they, having vowed not to sell to us last year, would then sell us a player just after having been embarrassed in their attempts to sign one of our players?
Ric Flair Posted 13 June 2013 Posted 13 June 2013 If we won't sell him, I do hope we're tying up a new deal with him as to lose him for nothing next summer would be criminal.
surrifox Posted 13 June 2013 Posted 13 June 2013 @RobTannerMerc: Good news for LCFC. Sources say Kasper is going nowhere. Would take a ridiculous bid to change City's minds. More in tomorrow's Merc #LCFC But Hull's bid was ridiculous
Walshy5 Posted 13 June 2013 Posted 13 June 2013 About Hobbs. Ive gone on record many times and said id love to have him back here and sven was a twat for getting rid in the first place. However i wouldnt want it to be at the expense of kasper. I dont think the player offer was him anyway. My guess is Stewart.
MPH Posted 13 June 2013 Posted 13 June 2013 Do you really think that they, having vowed not to sell to us last year, would then sell us a player just after having been embarrassed in their attempts to sign one of our players? Different chairman now isn't it? The chairman who said that was Adam Pearson. Not the same chairman now.
BMR Posted 13 June 2013 Posted 13 June 2013 Apparently it was Hobbs who was offered in the deal I heard it was Koren

More in tomorrow's Merc #LCFC Wow! Can't wait to find out! Not! Cuddly predicts a Kasper exit is on the horizon! Cuddly has spoken.
iamafox Posted 13 June 2013 Posted 13 June 2013 Give Schmeichel a new contract with a buy-out clause if we don't go up next season, at least we would receive some money rather than none at all.
Simo86 Posted 13 June 2013 Posted 13 June 2013 I heard it was Koren Oh right. The person I get my info from hasn't been wrong yet. I guess we'll never know for certain
mattyb20 Posted 13 June 2013 Posted 13 June 2013 Wouldn't hold it against Kasper if he left, but would be sad to see him go.Leaves everything on the pitch which so many of our players don't do, may make a few mistakes but has kept us in countless games.
CosbehFox Posted 13 June 2013 Posted 13 June 2013 He'll leave in 12 months for nothing. It's all in his favour. Can't be far off selling for me.
rico Posted 14 June 2013 Posted 14 June 2013 Staying according to the Leicester Mercury.... http://www.leicestermercury.co.uk/Leicester-City-tell-Hull-Kasper-Schmeichel-going/story-19283404-detail/story.html
