Happy Fox Posted 22 July 2013 Posted 22 July 2013 Done f**k all for the past two seasons and factor in his wages will allow us to bring in a better player.
AKCJ Posted 22 July 2013 Posted 22 July 2013 Any reasoning for Stringer to say he hasn't gone yet? He's still in tears with Gally.
crisp monster Posted 22 July 2013 Posted 22 July 2013 Was one our best for a while but faded badly - got put on silly wages which was daft on our part. Did anyone make a move for him so we improved his terms at the time? Glad he's gone but I wish him well
NewburyFox Posted 22 July 2013 Posted 22 July 2013 If he was on £15k a week then he has left with a cool £1.5 million. Wouldn't it be £700-750k roughly?
Legend_in_blue Posted 22 July 2013 Posted 22 July 2013 This pay off ought to come straight out of Neville's pocket.

5waller5 Posted 22 July 2013 Posted 22 July 2013 Good luck to him. He was a good servant to the club, despite some of the idiots getting on his back. No he wasn't. Servants don't earn £10k+ a week. They don't choose when to work and when not to. They don't throw a paddy with the manager because they've driven all the way to "work" and then not been picked to play. Good riddance to him. He was anything but a "good servant".
LCFC FOX Posted 22 July 2013 Posted 22 July 2013 The owners are billionaires, it's like one of us paying a tenner to remove someone you hate from your life. Won't affect us at all

We do seem to have lost perspective on what qualifies as a good servant.
LCFC FOX Posted 22 July 2013 Posted 22 July 2013 Was good for the first season under Pearson and that is it, was never the same
MC Prussian Posted 22 July 2013 Posted 22 July 2013 No he wasn't. Servants don't earn £10k+ a week. They don't choose when to work and when not to. They don't throw a paddy with the manager because they've driven all the way to "work" and then not been picked to play. Good riddance to him. He was anything but a "good servant". He was a good servant - sadly, it was for a limited time only. Much like a sales frenzy at Walmart. And then the age showed. Also for your consideration: "Servant: One who is publicly employed to perform services, as for a government" So he was indeed a servant.
Deucalion Posted 22 July 2013 Posted 22 July 2013 Wouldn't it be £700-750k roughly? Two years left? £15k x 104 weeks = £1.5 million + ... doesn't it?

Also for your consideration: "Servant: One who is publicly employed to perform services, as for a government" So he was indeed a servant. By no stretch of the imagination or loose definition was he a 'good servant'. He was an ok player for one season, pretty mediocre for another two before becoming truculent and moody for the remainder. Lets stop this habit of beatification for every ex City player, in a few years it'll be Ritchie who?
Stadt Posted 23 July 2013 Posted 23 July 2013 Two years left? £15k x 104 weeks = £1.5 million + ... doesn't it? Tax?
lestajigs Posted 23 July 2013 Posted 23 July 2013 On a positive note ill Never forget the shift he put in at Cardiff in the playoffs,
The Year Of The Fox Posted 23 July 2013 Posted 23 July 2013 On a positive note ill Never forget the shift he put in at Cardiff in the playoffs, That and Norwich away
Finnegan Posted 23 July 2013 Posted 23 July 2013 :w00t: Decent first season, dross since. Great, City are countering, bit of pace, good move and... Richie Wellens has put his foot on the ball. Back to sleep, everyone. Most frustrating player I've seen here in the last decade and I include Gallagher in that. Delighted. Don't give a toss who that outrages, a couple of moments of quality don't a player make.
rico Posted 23 July 2013 Posted 23 July 2013 Birmingham were linked if I remember correctly. and / or Blackpool
Guest ttfn Posted 23 July 2013 Posted 23 July 2013 You didn't receive any Beckford money But supposedly our problem is not cash flow, it's FFP. So there sort of is "Beckford money". Not to mention that, according to you, the fee receivable by us went towards paying off a debt to Everton. In which case we did receive money, whether it touched our bank statement or not. It will still have been used to offset our loss on disposal of Beckford.
Bert Posted 23 July 2013 Posted 23 July 2013 Any reasoning for Stringer to say he hasn't gone yet?Yep, because he spoke directly to Wellens yesterday.
Babylon Posted 23 July 2013 Posted 23 July 2013 This pay off ought to come straight out of Neville's pocket. Here we go again.
