Though I guess he was on the receiving end of 'player power' at Leeds wasn't he. I would suspect that the best blokes have that fine blend of discipline/respect with a 'human side' and approachability. Sir Alex, for example, perhaps the best example of a staunch disciplinarian, was often seen larking about with the players on the training pitch, apparently. In order to implement disipline effectivly, you must have full support/control from the board. Otherwise you will be undermined, much like clough at leeds, benitez at chelsea and mancini at man city.

ousefox Posted 26 August 2013 Posted 26 August 2013 I really thought Marshall had the potential to be a player a bit like Snodgrass and that he would erupt last season. He was very poor when he played and Dyer deservedly got back into that first 11 after we had Knocky and Marshall on the wing for a period. Barnsley was the last straw. Having a go at the fans when he was being slow and looked like he didn't care. Could have been a valuable player for us but not all bothered he's leaving now. We will be short of wingers if NP does decide to go 442 at home now though.

Lets review this when we look at our squad in two weeks yeah? the players rumored to be leaving are the ones who only a few months ago where being slated and said that they weren't good enough by alot of people on here and in the stands. now because they may be leaving due to supposed falling outs and FFP (something completely out of Pearsons control) this make Pearson an idiot. Dont get me wrong I dont think Nigel is the next Cloughie, I'm not entirely convinced he will get us promoted, but he is not an idiot or useless. his record with us says otherwise despite what some people are spouting.

I dont know, I couldnt tell from the brief interaction I've had with him.
