If he is going to go I hope it's for a fee and not a loan. Strengthening a rivals squad whilst weakening our own is not ideal.

Doubt it'll be much if it is perm £500k? That'd be less than we paid.

Who the fook is Elliott Lee.

Probably another Harry Kane.

Is Elliott Lee not Rob Lee's son?

Yes he is, he's made 1 appearance as a sub for West Ham. I wish Pearson would stop going for other clubs youngsters on loan and then hardly play them, as they aren't good enough and further reducing the chances of our own youngsters getting the odd invaluable first team experience.

Can you wait until there's any actual evidence of NP signing him except the Daily Fail before you slag him off?

I can wait, but when there's so much evidence of past loanees that have been dog muck i've too much ammunition to require waiting for this next nipper from the PL to turn up.

But there's zero refutable evidence that one will be turning up.

If our young lads are good enough they will get a chance, that has been shown with both Schlupp and Moore. Having seen the youth team a few times now I don't think there is actually one player who is ready for the step up (Hopper excluded).

Besides the folly of basing your opinion on a poor newspapers speculation, maybe just maybe the current crop aren't good enough to even make that step? Watch the development squads game against Chelsea, I wouldn't want any of them near the 1st team yet (maybe Cain and hopper) Pearson doesn't have a lot of alternatives to improve the squad !

This all bodes very badly for team spirit and the dressing room.

You don't achieve defensive wins if the squad is lacking team spirit. However, my feeling is that the club is split into the have's and have not's. Some players probably given warnings that they could be out of the door but that's up to the player, if you wanna play football so much, get your head down. Perform down the training ground, you'll be in. Equally you want to play that much, forfeit your loyalty bonus and play elsewhere.

. Being hauled off at half time = no confidence in you from the manager and you are being blamed for being 1 down at home against a poor side.

I consider myself pro-Pearson. However, I agree with this. But there's a big picture, a bigger goal that the squad must achieve. The player must rise above a poor game and prove them himself. Some players react well, some don't. The players what react well are normally the players which achieve most in their career.

there's so many opposition fans and shit talkers now on this forum that you have to wade through so much sewage to read anything remotely interesting. i'd be banning the obvious WUMs left right and centre!

But there's evidence of poor loan signings previously, that seem to be done just for the sake of it. I'm rather glad Pearson can't bring many new players in.

They won't get a chance if we bring another youngster in from a PL club in a position we already have 5 or 6 options in. Hopper has cut his teeth in League One and deserves as much of a chance as some norris from West Ham for a month or two.

I went to the Chelsea game on Saturday and the majority of them were a shambles. Panayiouto and Hopper were the only two who came out of it with any credibility. Cain, who I rate was diabolical and the defence were all over the place. Harry P put a great shift in on the wing and linked up fantastically with Hopper, who also did fairly well.

I'm not advocating for these players to be given a chance right now, but I don't see the need for a young striker from West Ham with no league experience bar a brief cameo in the FA Cup when we have a couple of our own waiting in the wings and a striker in Schlupp, being used as a left back. Eliot Lee can bollocks, Nigel can bollocks.

It's the intellectually vacant posters that resort to Ad hominem.

As you point out you should have a balanced opinion of Pearson as he does have his flaws but he positives outweigh the negatives and generally done well for the club - he seems to genuinely want to best for the club and is working with his hands tied financially - no thanks (in part) to Sven .

Is it therefore the intellectual posters that use latin phrases to discredit them personally rather than their lack of perceived argument..... Ironic hypocrisy?

lol

You are leaving your players out to dry, no one would bat an eyelid if he made those changes at the 50-55 minute mark. Footballers always feel like they can make the difference and believe in their own ability, they are very ego driven in that respect. Being hauled off at half time = no confidence in you from the manager and you are being blamed for being 1 down at home against a poor side.

Drinkwater and Wood had 45 minutes to make an impact on the game and never did.

The two players NFP brought on changed the game, we came from 1-0 down and won 3-2. To me that says he made the correct decision.

If it someone like Mourinho, Sir Alex, Pep etc that made those decisions for their clubs and got the same result they would be getting all the credit and be called tactical magicians.

Apart from the three he's got?

A decent song then, Wes Wes Morgan *clap* *clap* is awful for a start and the "he hates forest" only makes sense when playing Forest when actually its clear he likes them more than us so it doesn't make any sense and I don't even know the third or even herd it sung at a game

FAO Alanis Morissette..

Re: As Promised..

Alanis,

How are you? I know its been some time. Hope all is good at your end. I still listen to Jagged Little Pill sometimes. Great album. My copy is a little scratched and skips a little bit now on the second version of 'You Oughta Know' you thoughtfully included, but no biggie, I like the original, unadulterated version better anyway.

Anyway, remember that thing we talked about? When I promised if I could find a really perfect example of it, I'd let you know? You said if I did you'd work it in to your song on the subject and re-release it? Well, it's been 18 years and a hell of a lot of water has passed under the bridge (both metaphorically and literally, in the case of my local river/bridge combo) but I've finally found it.

Someone attacking the character of somebody else and alleging they are intellectually vacuous DUE TO using an ad hominem argument.... I know!! I know! You couldn't write it could you? And yeah, to be fair, you didn't, it was all rain on wedding days and black flies in Chardonnay, but there we are a gift from me to you.

Now you just need to think up something else ironic which rhymes with 'hominem,' I can only think of name-checking Eminem, and thats not really a rhyme - but it does open the door for an unlikely (but mouthwatering) duet. Eminem and Al-Mo. It'd be like 1998 again, without people worrying about the Millennium Bug.

So anyway, drop me a line and I'll explain ad hominem and if you like - the 'other thing' all over again.

Keep it real, sistah,

TPH.
