midland_red Posted 2 November 2013 Posted 2 November 2013 shocked by the result...I might have settled for a point on this one. No sign of any tiredness from the Fulham win either. Burnley drop a point while the trees lose at home.......it's looking good....ut still got to focus on the next game
foxfanazer Posted 2 November 2013 Posted 2 November 2013 We look the real deal right now. Still need to take it one game at a time though. Best win of the season today for me
ian_marshall Posted 2 November 2013 Posted 2 November 2013 Don't understand the Watford fans saying we weren't very loud today. We out sung them from start to finish today, and hardly heard a peep from them. Apart from a spell of about 10 mins in the second half where things went a little quiet, we pretty much sang throughout.

DoNotScratchYourEyes Posted 2 November 2013 Posted 2 November 2013 I haven't seen the goals/celebrations back but unless his celebration involved running into the crowd and taunting them whilst they experienced one of the most traumatic experiences of their lives and then continuing to taunt them about it six months later, it was probably fair game. In fact, that would be fair game. I can't really think of a celebration within the bounds of the law that wouldn't have been appropriate in the circumstances, but I'm sure TBJS can help out. That's a fair point, but they way he put his arms up to his ears was just so arrogant. No point complaining though, we lost to the better team. Simple as that
Kitchandro Posted 2 November 2013 Posted 2 November 2013 Taylor-Fletcher's appearance off the bench was both hilarious and quality. He looks like a 40-year-old landlord, not a professional footballer. But his movement, touch and heading were all first half in his cameo and it was his experience and quality on the ball which led to our third. When he came on I was saying exactly the same thing, we were going 'he's gonna bring on Al Murray next'.
Unabomber Posted 2 November 2013 Posted 2 November 2013 Thought Gary Taylor-Belly did well when he came on today, great touches and assist for Dyer.
Kitchandro Posted 2 November 2013 Posted 2 November 2013 That's a fair point, but they way he put his arms up to his ears was just so arrogant. No point complaining though, we lost to the better team. Simple as that Of course it's arrogant. The same kind of arrogance shown by football fans when they taunt someone half their age who earns 100 times as much as them and has more talent in their left foot than said fans have in their whole body. It's give an take, he knew he would get stick today, and you knew he'd give you stick back. If he does the same against Forest I'll love him all the more!
Finnaldo Posted 2 November 2013 Posted 2 November 2013 I was thinking more of the mouthy bellend you always see playing Sunday League.
AKCJ Posted 2 November 2013 Posted 2 November 2013 http://www1.skysports.com/watch/video/sports/football/competitions/championship/9004656/watford-0-3-leicester Watch Wasyl at the end
Father Ted Posted 2 November 2013 Posted 2 November 2013 Anybody know where I can watch a full re-run... I haven't got Sky.
Guest Bilo Posted 2 November 2013 Posted 2 November 2013 Watford fans getting upset about Knockaert celebrating the first goal make me laugh. He was mocked in his face on the day of the play-off defeat and has been mocked constantly on Twitter ever since by Watfinese kids, in between retweeting Udinese and Granada results of course. Watford then play the footage of his missed penalty, fans boast about trying to get him to sign pictures of him devastated after his penalty miss and boo his every touch of the ball. What on earth did they expect him to do when we went 1-0 ahead in frankly hilarious circumstances? Frankly, I think they should consider themselves lucky he didn't do a lap of the ground doing willy puller hand gestures to all four three stands of Vicarage Road after each goal.
DANGEROUS TIGER Posted 2 November 2013 Posted 2 November 2013 That brought a tear to my eye DT That brought a tear to my eye DT Oh dear, sorry about that.
iamafox Posted 2 November 2013 Posted 2 November 2013 Isn't 'filbertsdead' gracious enough to admit we were the better team during the match? After all of the slagging off he gave us yesterday? He just made an absolute cock of himself.
Corky Posted 2 November 2013 Posted 2 November 2013 Superb game, performance, result. The fans were on top form too. I doubt many will go to Watford and stop them scoring, let alone score 3 (I know Derby did). Got fortunate with the first goal but we were in control of the first half, second goal (and the jubilant celebrations) made it a bit more comfortable before Lloyd settled any possible nerves. The defence dominated their area, Drinkwater and King again put in fine displays, whilst Knockaert was obviously fired up and played superbly. The front two linked well and it was a great team display. Many thought this was our first test and the possible start of a bad run, if we play like that we'll be fine. So much better than the league game a year ago. Just need to keep it going ahead of a big derby match next week. Knockaert had every right to celebrate how he did, he has been mocked, criticised, whatever (fair enough in some respects) for six months, jeered today and gave a bit back. Don't be so precious.
I am Rod Hull Posted 2 November 2013 Posted 2 November 2013 Watch Wasyl at the end Thats the kind of commitment we need to gain promotion. 3-0 up, the whistle in the refs mouth and he puts in a block like that

steveherbe Posted 2 November 2013 Posted 2 November 2013 Thought the fans were amazing today. Wifes first real away match, she reckons its always this easy. Brilliant support, how loud after Knockys goal? 1600 fans? Sounded like 16,000. Good to meet Basingstokefox in the ground, even though some bellend ran into the back of his car on the way in
Unabomber Posted 2 November 2013 Posted 2 November 2013 Why are the Watford fans slating our fans so much? Sour grapes surely?
jamesmilner Posted 2 November 2013 Posted 2 November 2013 3-0 is 3-0 , nuff said . so far so good . am i dreaming ?
