Spiritwalker Posted 21 December 2013 Posted 21 December 2013 Probably the best refs performance I've seen in the championship this season.
Guest Col city fan Posted 21 December 2013 Posted 21 December 2013 I thought he got just about everything right!
Guest shearfox Posted 21 December 2013 Posted 21 December 2013 I thought he was good, got most things right... especially when the QPR players were diving around in our box...
Stadt Posted 21 December 2013 Posted 21 December 2013 It was good for us! QPR will wrongly feel they should've had a penalty.
Devonfox1884 Posted 21 December 2013 Posted 21 December 2013 I thought he was good, got most things right... especially when the QPR players were diving around in our box... this. Fair play to him.
AKCJ Posted 21 December 2013 Posted 21 December 2013 Any of QPRs penalty shouts would have been the softest penalty in the history of the ****ing game. Glad he had the balls to send Barton off. The man is a **** and I wish he'd **** off. He's also shit.
Guest MarshallForEngland Posted 21 December 2013 Posted 21 December 2013 He was given a couple of opportunities to award a penalty and rightly declined. Less confident refs would have jumped at those chances to give a penalty when under pressure from the home crowd so fair play to him for not caving in.
foxfanazer Posted 21 December 2013 Posted 21 December 2013 Got everything right except I think O'neill should've been shown a red Well done for sending that scrote Barton off though
Brooksy Posted 21 December 2013 Posted 21 December 2013 I thought he was decent but bottled it with O'Neil's challenge in the first half.
Unabomber Posted 21 December 2013 Posted 21 December 2013 I thought he was shit. Did you really though?
foxes4e4 Posted 21 December 2013 Posted 21 December 2013 I thought he got just about everything right! except for barton should have been a straight red just for being joey barton
Stadt Posted 21 December 2013 Posted 21 December 2013 Barton is an absolute tool, he was moaning at the ref because he was getting tackled, then hand balled which should've been a yellow and then elbows GTF which should've been a red. Glad the ref sent him off but it should've happened when he elbowed GTF but not stopping there he decides to kick the ball at one if our players. The man is a cretin :xmaslaugh:
Matt Posted 21 December 2013 Posted 21 December 2013 Nice to see a post praising a ref We've won, coincidence? In all seriousness though, he did have a good game, for us, not sure QPR fans would agree though.
ScouseFox Posted 21 December 2013 Posted 21 December 2013 He was poor. Should've booked a few of their defenders early doors but didn't. Should've sent O'neil off but didn't. A lot of fouls either way weren't given. Can't really comment on the Barton thing cos I haven't seen it properly. All the penalty "shouts" were pathetic and anyone with a brain let alone a refereeing qualification could see that. If we're praising refs for getting those right you can see what level of shite we expect of them!
GingerrrFox Posted 21 December 2013 Posted 21 December 2013 Ref was bang on today. If O'Neill's was a red than so was Matty's in the 2nd half. Every big decision he got right, refs will always make small mistakes but as long as they get the major decisions correct it's all good.
Rasmic123 Posted 21 December 2013 Posted 21 December 2013 you lot are joking right, he was a shit ref. hate refs that play solely to the letter of the law, the game has evolved and nowadays you need to apply some common sense, just because a tackle is hard doesnt mean its a foul. Thought qpr could have had 1 penalty as well, i know i'd have been pissed off if it was us who had been denied the penalty. That said, qpr were utterly useless in front of goal and would have missed it anyway
StanSP Posted 21 December 2013 Posted 21 December 2013 Only saw second half so can't comment on what Barton/O'Neill did. However, if Barton got his second booking for what he did, Wasilewski should have been punished. Very lucky in my opinion. In addition, though, he got the other 2 'penalty' appeals bang on. The benefit of replays helps us, yes. But there was little/minimal contact for them both (Phillips and Hoilett I think).
Banks Posted 21 December 2013 Posted 21 December 2013 Ref was brilliant, and that's not bias.every decision he had to make was correct
XLM Posted 21 December 2013 Posted 21 December 2013 Good ref - would have been a travesty if any of their penalty appeals were given
Guest shearfox Posted 21 December 2013 Posted 21 December 2013 We've won, coincidence? In all seriousness though, he did have a good game, for us, not sure QPR fans would agree though. To be fair, we have won a lot of games this season and there hasn't been a thread that I know of giving praise.
Sharpe's Fox Posted 21 December 2013 Posted 21 December 2013 I thought the only thing he got wrong was the GTF challenge from behind which was a foul. Those looking for a red for O'Neill I thought it was 50/50 for a red. It would have ruined the game as a spectacle if he did go off though.
