Schlupp

Time to sell or release him.

Comes on as a sub quite often and rarely does anything of note but be wasteful in possession and commit silly fouls. When he starts up front he is useless, and as a LB he is very dodgy.

Not good enough even as a squad player at this level imo. He reminds me a bit of Elvis Hammond. He could do well in League 1 or 2.

I'm his biggest critic tbf but I'd be surprised if a lot of people don't agree.

I thought he did alright.

Held the ball away but things like knowing where and when to pass the ball as a target man will come with experience.

He's talented and will be O.K.

He is a raw, young player that clearly has quite a lot of potential if managed and coached properly. Of course he's not as good as our 2 starters at the moment but he will improve and turn into a decent player. It is no coincidence that Utd had him on a trial, they must have seen something in him.

I have to agree, I haven't been impressed with him for a long time now, and just because he came through the academy it doesn't mean we can keep giving him chances.

He shows almost no desire or determination, and without that he has bugger all to offer.

Get rid. He might have been a talent at one time, but it's been wasted.

He's still young and not the finished article. People expecting the perfect, complete player?

Everyone knows I always like to back the club's players. And Schlupp is no different. You don't get scouted or a chance to train with Utd just on the off-chance.

He came on with what, 10-15 minutes to go, if that? Not every player can immediately come in to the side and make a huge impact.

It's in our best interests that we don't sell or release. Especially with Waghorn likely to go.

Also, why do threads like this have to be made so soon after a win lol. Why can no-one just enjoy the 3 points and immediately look for something to pick on?! Not saying don't make the point at all, but why so soon after a hard-fought victory?!

He was poor today, nothing came off for him and that ball to dyer he had tons of space to play it to him and found their goalkeeper...

You want to him score a hattrick in 15 minutes against the the top two in the division and Manchester City when under the cosh?

Why get rid of a player in January when we have limited striking options going into it, not to mention back up for Lloyd. Did you think about that before your knee jerk post? As said above enjoy a decent win.

90 day loan on 1st Jan to L1 team, have him get match sharp which he's never going to get coming on for 10mins.

Although he never shows enough determination for me when given these chances by NP, that lazy ball to Dyer which QPR collected typifies Schlupp for me. If he wants to make it, he has to show it when given 10mins, qtr of an hour or whatever.

For me, a 90 day loan from Jan 1st, get him match sharp and then back for the run-in ... Then take stock when we know what division we'll be in next summer

Exactly, when he came on today he should be giving literally everything he has. It's one of the biggest games of the season and we're hanging on to a one goal lead. Apart from being technically better he should have been making unselfish runs, chasing every ball down, not giving them time but he just looked a bit uninterested and his passing was shocking to boot.

Shocking today. 3 or 4 breaks where he just miscontrolled it or put a woeful pass straight to them. Was a simple task, run a bit and keep the ball where possible. He did neither.

Not at all. People expect some promise. Can you actually see any in him? I haven't seen any in quite some time.

Let's be honest, he's not just broken through, this will be his 3rd season in the first team and he hasn't made an impression.

What's really disappointing is he is extremely tentative for a young player. You expect him to be sprinting around like a nutter and really getting stuck in. But he chickens out of challenges, he doesn't close down with verve, he slows the play down instead of trying to frighten them. He also can't pass to save his life, even when he's got about 20 yards to aim for.

He's gone backwards. Whether that's to do with him not being moulded to play in one particular position, I don't know, but it's not helped him.

Today he was dreadful when he came on. A total waste of space.

He was appalling.

I don't expect perfection but I do expect our players to be able to pass simple balls, control it and put some effort in.

He's so thick as well, what was he doing when he was standing two yards offside when Gtf headed that ball on?
