MooseBreath Posted 10 January 2014 Posted 10 January 2014 When we went top for a 2nd time a few weeks back I called for us to start playing like a team who belongs there, and tonight was the definition of that. Would have been tempting to try to accommodate Derby's attacking threat with more defensive tactics, but we stuck to what we do best and never game them a chance. Could have been 6, 7 or 8 and they couldn't have complained. Brilliant performance. MOTM Vardy for me but could have been anyone.

Free flowing passing, keeping them to one shot on target, scoring 4, couldn't see any negatives from that performance. Thought Richie was brilliant and took his goal really well. So happy at the minute. Know I'm only one of a very few City fans here in Wrexham but still wear my shirt with pride!! (especially round the leeds scum supporters at work) And also have to say the fans were brilliant (well definatly sounded it anywho)

Free-flowing, stunning attacking play - at times, we were passing it around like Barcelona. Derby had no answer to our gameplan, it was literally men against boys. The score even flatters the Rams, it could've been 6-1, 7-1 even. Five wins in a row. We do look good but tonight's game shows how much more the players have bonded and found together. Long may it continue. Everybody shone today, but my MOTM would go to Nugent. He was omnipresent. Vardy comes a close second, followed by De Laet. WOOHOO!! You took the words out of my mouth.
