Derby Post Match Thread 4 - 1

That's the best 90 minutes we've put together this season and I dare say it..... The past 25 years I've been following our club.

Derby are no mugs, but we completely out played them in all positions. That was a pleasure to watch.

Absolutely stunning performance. That is the benchmark now for the rest of the season for every side even contemplating promotion.

If we can turn those away off days into draws we will storm home.

We've also got the best goal difference now. At this rate it may not be relevant. Would love QPR and Burnley to slip up tomorrow, just cap a great weekend. Happy weekend all Foxes' fans. Enjoy.

Simply quality, could have been three or four by half time (Matty James open goal, Vardy Bar, Liam Moore Bar), just didn't have that final bit of luck, but quality second half killed them off.

So proud of the lads. Look forward to work tomorrow, we have a few Derby fans about.

Get in !  :scarf:

We need 11 wins from 21 remaining games to match Cardiff total last year

Or 8 wins and a draw to 80pts  which would of taken 2nd last year.

Sounds  easy on paper  :fc:

Staggered by just how good we were, no real attempts on goal by the top scorers in the division, destroyed them all over the pitch.

So happy with that.

I may get on the bus.

Just got back.

Phenomenal performance, so much intensity and togetherness in our team at the minute, we played Derby off the park, just incredible.

I'm just in love with Jamie Vardy at the minute, from a player who didn't look cut out for this league last season, to one of the best strikers in the division this season, just mind-blowing how much he has improved, his finishing and first touch especially has improved so much. Drinkwater and James were outstanding as well tonight, made Bryson, Hendrick and Hughes look average. Drinkwater controlled the midfield basically from the start, while James was getting stuck in, picking up scraps, playing excellent passes & being calm on the ball. While De Laet showed tonight what he can when he attacks, what a well taken goal that was, and I will also say that was one of his best defensive performances as well.

Excellent all over the pitch tonight, happy days

I could just about see that Pearson wanted to smile tonight....

STAGGERINGLY good performance, FLUENT all over the pitch going forward, and working incredibly hard to win the ball back when we lost the ball.

It actually reminded me of the Bayern 3-1 win over Man City, the way we played in and out of possession

Kinda hoping Derby manage to get promoted with us, just so we have a chance to do this all over again next year  lol

Outstanding performance tonight, probably up there as one of the best perfomances that i have seen in 40 years of watching the City.

Make no mistake, Derby are a decent side, who came into the game full of swagger and confidence, and we well and truly blew them away!

Seems to guarantee us six points... we have beaten them three times this season lol

I think that's pretty certain we'll finish above Derby now. 10 points clear and we must have shattered their confidence. Things couldn't really have gone any better.

Thank fvck for that result, I work in Derby and have been shooting my trap off all day, I will walk tall and loud tomorrow amongst all those staggers of sheep. Lambs to the slaughter.
