foxfanazer Posted 2 March 2014 Posted 2 March 2014 Derby, Forest, QPR even Burnley are more worried about 2nd place (or 7th) than they are about catching us. They have put us out of their minds and are concentrating on the real world. I agree. I also think a lot of the teams coming to the KP look beaten before the game even starts. Should win all of our remaining home games
Deucalion Posted 2 March 2014 Posted 2 March 2014 Will this work? ps - there's an error. QPR's -1 should be under 14 games left not 13. games until promotion b.pdf
Foxes Blue Blood Posted 2 March 2014 Posted 2 March 2014 Can one of you clever lads please do a count down on when we will definitely be promoted even if us,Burnley and Derby keep winning Obviously as we and others gain / drop points the "promotion" game will change Think it currently stands at Burnley away as being the game to seal it but will stand corrected Ta Not sure what you are asking but Derby are 13 points behind us so if all top 3 sides keep winning we have to get 101 points to be sure of promotion ( without worrying about goal difference) so it would be after the Reading game. The only problem with this calculation is we play Burnley so both can't win.
Happy Fox Posted 2 March 2014 Posted 2 March 2014 2 ppg is what I use as an indicator 92-74= 18 points are needed, so another 6 wins and we are as good as promoted. Should be less than that as I reckon 86-89 points should be enough.
Foxes Blue Blood Posted 2 March 2014 Posted 2 March 2014 Going on form for the last 6 games here is how they would finish :- Leicester City Burnley Derby County Wigan Athletic Reading Nottingham Forest Brighton & Hove Albion Watford QPR Ipswich Town Blackburn Rovers Sheffield Wednesday Leeds United Huddersfield Town Yeovil Town Bournemouth Bolton Wanderers Birmingham City Middlesborough Charlton Athletic Doncaster Blackpool Barnsley Millwall

Even if we win W4 D4 and L5 it's stil enough.
Hack Posted 2 March 2014 Posted 2 March 2014 I think we should change the lyrics to "up the football here we go" to "up the football league we go" as I believe we are dead certs for at least the play offs now. I think yesterday we ended Charltons play off hopes definately Play offs are you serious. what sort of losing run would it take fall out of the auto positions? is there anything that you have seen that would have us lose more than nine of the last 13 games? even then it would take Derby to win at least 5 more games than us in that time to have us drop into 3rd. Why do you have to be such a depressing sod. Charlton playoff chances are you serious, they would be happy to survive.

foxfanazer Posted 2 March 2014 Posted 2 March 2014 The question should be - are YOU serious?Seriously?
Happy Fox Posted 2 March 2014 Posted 2 March 2014 Come on you bastards at the football league just put a (P) next to our name its getting boring waiting Us and Burnley for the top 2. The playoffs very hard to predict but I reckon it will be a Dierby v Wigan final.

Leicester_Loyal Posted 2 March 2014 Posted 2 March 2014 4 more wins I originally thought, might change it to 4 wins and a draw now
woddyuk Posted 2 March 2014 Posted 2 March 2014 As of yesterdays results, 27 more points guarantees promotion . 32 for the title. Leicester 74 max poss 113 Burnley 66 max poss 105 Derby 61 max poss 100 QPR 57 max poss 99 Forest 55 max poss 94 Wigan 52 max poss 94

Ok thanks very much I know it will change but at the moment the promotion party is set for Reading but hopefully will come forward a game or two
lancyclaret Posted 3 March 2014 Posted 3 March 2014 If it was last season, Leicester would only need 6 more points for promotion from 13 games - two wins or a win and three draws. Amazing to think Hull hot Auto last year with 79 points and was it 15 defeats????
ScouseFox Posted 3 March 2014 Posted 3 March 2014 Burnley carry on like this and they'll be up and around 90 points but the rest of 'em ain't got a prayer of catching either of us. We'll battle it out for the league whilst both claiming we don't really care about 1st or 2nd as long as we get one each.

Derby have a much easier run-in than Burnley while Wigan are waiting to pounce if 2nd and 3rd drop too many points. QPR are not finished yet but I think Forest are out of contention for auto now (and they looked so dangerous less than 2 weeks ago when they were beating Leicester 2-1). That equaliser has certainly knocked the stuffing out of them.
LCCFox96 Posted 3 March 2014 Posted 3 March 2014 We need 11 more to make the average for promotion which is 85. So that's 3 wins and 2 draws which we should do. I think well be looking more at 90 points so that basically 5 wins and 2 draws or. 4 wins and 4 draws. I think by taking the next 6/6 in the next two fixtures the champagne is ready to go on the ice. One game at time though. It's a policy that's served us well this year. First keep the unbeaten run going, then shut out promotion and if we can close out the title. We are in for an exciting few months. Just got to keep it up now.
