Just a little survey I'm doing..

I personally can't drink in the house, never appealed to me, when I finish at work the first thing I want to do is have a cup of tea and if I wanted a drink I would go down the Pub for one. Where as my Mum when she finishes work she will have a glass of wine straight away.

Having a stint off completely at the moment.

In recent years, though, have mainly been going to the pub for a couple early doors (I work from home, so feel the need to get the hell out of the house for a bit), then having a couple - or more - after I get back. Not every night, but far too often (4-5 nights per week), hence the "cool-down" period!

Can enjoy both: pub for social contact, watching football, reading (if quiet); home for a few while listening to music, watching TV or talking shite on FoxesTalk!

Thankfully, as I'm a bit older now, my body can't physically take the volumes that it used to and I can't drink as quickly as I used to, so I don't get in the terrible states that I used to.....at worst, just end up falling asleep on the sofa, having talked a bit of crap and wasted a lot of time!

Not as a rule but I'd be lying if I said never. I was bought some beer for Xmas so obviously I'm not going to take that out with me. Also I like a beer when England are playing on the telly.

Usually have a glass of wine with dinner at the weekends. Rarely drink at home during the week.

Also like to treat myself to a rum/vodka & coke at the weekends after dinner in the evenings on the weekends.

And if we have family or friends round I like to have a few beers.

There's something very appealing about coming home from work in the evening and opening a cold bottle of local beer. I'd call it gratification.

I can't remember the last time I had a drink at home.  I am a coffee-aholic though.

Even going out with mates on a Saturday early doors, I probably average about 5 pints a month, seeing as I usually drive.

Yeah, occasionally. Sometimes I'll have a beer with dinner, and the mrs will have a glass of wine. Or if we've got friends over, or I'm watching the footy, I'll probably crack open a few beers. Got some nice whiskey and a few other spirits in the cupboard for a little treat every now and then too.

I do, I like having a beer or sharing a bottle of wine with the missus, I see no problem in relaxing on your own and having a few beers whilst watching TV on a Saturday night.

Yes, but I generally don't drink a huge amount anyway.

In fact, I undoubtedly drink more at home than I do when I'm out. 9/10 when I go out I'm driving anyway, so having a drink isn't really an option.

Yeah always. As Prussian said it's nice to come home from work and pour yourself a beer or glass of wine. I'm actually really looking forward to a couple tonight

Rarely.

I generally only drink in pubs to be honest. I worked out the other day I spend about 10k year on booze (200 a week and in reality its probably more when you think holidays, weekends away, xmas etc) :/ that would be cheaper if I drank at home.

It would probably work out more expensive, as you would still drink the same when you are out, plus what you drink at home, unless you are planning on being less social, or go to the pub and drink on your own.

Just think of all that money you could have extra ;)

Yes.

But I don't drink as soon as I get in, or out of boredom... I'll usually have a can if a certain football match is on. Usually have one on a Friday and Saturday night as well. Or when I just fancy a drink.

Not a lot. Had beers in over Xmas and still got a bottle of wine unopened. Sometimes have a bottle for City games but last couple of games gone to a pub to watch them. Going out soon to local Texco near the station. The Hind is opposite. Tempting. can#t be bothered to go into town to my usual. If I have a couple in the day I can't drink at night I fall asleep.

£200 a week? I thought only those on benefits could afford to spend that much a week.       Had to reduce the emotions I posted too many

Would rather have the stories, enjoyment and companionship of what I get when I spend it.

Never used to drink at home until I had Kids.
Now going out to the pub is not really an opiton.
A nice beer or 2 when then the kids are in bed is great
