Dear Nigel,

I am writing to apologise for doubting you.

Having been over the moon at you becoming our manager once more, I did say that if we were to get it all together, it would be THIS season and not last. Then we had the terrible run and I must admit, I got worried. I called for a change.

I was wrong. You have turned around Sven's disjointed squad, have rectified the mistakes of last season and have got that balance between youth and experience which is usually crucial for success.

Well done Pearson and your staff team. You have the squad playing with a steely determination AND some real quality.

Keep it going everyone. I salute you.

I post this not as a turnaround on my part, but because I mean it.

You know you wasn't the only one. There was a fair few of us. Fair play to him, he deserves all the credit he gets for turning it around!!

ONE NIGEL PEARSON!

Never doubted him myself, but hope we can keep this going. Don't see why not. Another great win, brilliant lads :scarf:

Now apologize to the 'Pearsonites' and 'Happy Clappers' you were going on about last year.

Despite saying all that, I'm sure there is a bit of hatred as he hasn't signed Emmanuel-Thomas yet.

Another transfer window haa gone and STILL no JET!

Nice to admit you're wrong for a change Col!! ;)

I'm pretty sure 80-90% of people thought he should go in April.

Yeah. If you read the Barnsley post match thread pretty much everyone wanted him gone.

I doubt it. There was a vociferous minority calling for NP to go, but anyone who's followed City for more than five years knows that he is one of the best managers we've ever had: and I speak as someone who has seen more than most!

Even in our bad run in the second half of last season we were never that bad, and we had some lousy luck. The thing I admired about Pearson during that time is that he never publicly criticised his players: that's the mark of the man.

Well done, Col, for admitting you were wrong.

Great to accept you were wrong ;-) but the time for real support will be when we next struggle. How many of those who were negative will go back to being negative.....

Just goes to show how things can change so quickly in football. Most of us wanted Pearson out during the horrible run of results last season. I was pretty sceptical when the owners decided to stick with him and with minimal transfer activity during the summer, I feared we would have struggled big time.

But now, we are all witnessing what we didn't believe would happen. 10 points clear at the top, 21 wins from 29 games and 9 wins in a row. If you asked me at the beginning of the season if we were going to be in this position at the start of February, I would have laughed like a drain!

Just remember he signed Futacs col, Pearson Out! I must admit I welcomed his appointment but had serious doubts when things turned sour. 2nd time around rarely works but our biggest mistake was letting him go for Sousa. He's shown Sven up and he's unearthed some stars, adding value and is taking us back to the top flight without a shadow of a doubt.

"Dear Nigel"

I read that post as a rap like Eminems "Stan" just need some lyrics by Ken and a beat by Moose and we will be well on our way to a big big hit.
