MC Prussian Posted 5 April 2014 Posted 5 April 2014 Haydos has it right Sven.. you don't. No change there. How about you speak for yourself, defend your very own statements instead of using other people's posts in order to dodge the bullet and actually admit that you're wrong for once?
Guest Col city fan Posted 5 April 2014 Posted 5 April 2014 How about you speak for yourself, defend your very own statements instead of using other people's posts in order to dodge the bullet and actually admit that you're wrong for once? How about you actually attend a game before you post about it? That'd be a start. There's nothing to defend. I agree with Haydos about the Prem being quicker, I disagree with Sven. That ok? Or are you again going to take up about three pages in a circular argument?
dedlock Posted 5 April 2014 Posted 5 April 2014 He gives us extra options.Since he came into the team our formation has become more fluid.Ostensibly 442 but with the flexibility to change to 433 or 4231. Riyad,Knocky and a withdrawn Nuge playing the 3.It's obviously in it's infancy but look's to have huge potential,e.g.last night's first goal.
MC Prussian Posted 7 April 2014 Posted 7 April 2014 Apparently, the Algerian national team is watching him closely and he could feature at the World Cup, after all: L'Algérie vise MahrezAuteur de prestations abouties avec Leicester City, Ryad Mahrez évoluera la saison prochaine en Premier League.
lgfualol Posted 7 April 2014 Posted 7 April 2014 Oh man, if he's in the national squad for the world cup I know who my second team will be.
Dan Posted 7 April 2014 Posted 7 April 2014 He is absolutely ridiculously good at dribbling. Four hundred thousand euros. I've only just stopped laughing.
Itsthejoeker Posted 7 April 2014 Posted 7 April 2014 He passes the ball so far and fast, and it still looks like he barely touched it!
StanSP Posted 7 April 2014 Posted 7 April 2014 Think I might get more joy out of watching Algeria if that's the case than I will with England!
MC Prussian Posted 8 April 2014 Posted 8 April 2014 I'd love to see Mahrez at the World Cup, as well - looks like I'll be another one of those adopting Algeria as a second team. Fingers crossed he gets the call-up and remains injury-free.
ARM1968 Posted 8 April 2014 Posted 8 April 2014 He was obviously bought with the Prem in mind, so Walshy must think he's good enough. And to be fair he does look good enough.
Finnegan Posted 8 April 2014 Posted 8 April 2014 Oh man, if he's in the national squad for the world cup I know who my second team will be. England?
Carlos88LCFC Posted 8 April 2014 Posted 8 April 2014 He has pace, vision, good work rate and an end product... He will cut it at the top! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
GingerrrFox Posted 8 April 2014 Posted 8 April 2014 Just to allay fears over Knockaert being too slow to play on the wing in the Premier League believe it or not but he's actually 0.1 of a second quicker than Dyer over a 10m sprint test.

Yeah I saw that on the photos of that on Nat Jacksons visit, I can only presume Lloyd was injured
4ever and ever Posted 8 April 2014 Posted 8 April 2014 We should chant "Riyad's too good for you" This!
GingerrrFox Posted 8 April 2014 Posted 8 April 2014 Yeah I saw that on the photos of that on Nat Jacksons visit, I can only presume Lloyd was injured Lloyd kills him over 20m plus same with De Laet but Knocky's got good acceleration. I don't think his running technique helps much over long distances because he looks like he's running through water, he's all over the place with it. Think we've settled the debate over who's the quickest in the squad though with Vardy running a 1.49 over 10m and he's lightening over further distances.

XLM Posted 8 April 2014 Posted 8 April 2014 Probably needs a bit more muscle on him in the premiership. i.e. Cristiano Ronaldo's body transformation from when he came from Lisbon to when he left for Madrid. Not saying they're the same player, but against quicker and stronger right backs he might need a bit more about him physically.

But I suppose he needs to focus on his leg muscles, too.
HEGGSY Posted 8 April 2014 Posted 8 April 2014 Agree with XLM. If he concentrates on gaining a bit of mass over the summer/pre season, he would be an absolute nightmare for defenders, even more so than now. Apart from that, I'm struggling to find a fault with the lad. 400k as well? PHWOARRRRR
HEGGSY Posted 8 April 2014 Posted 8 April 2014 Mahrez hasn't struck me as physically weak at all.But I also agree with this, he rarely gets knocked off the ball. Case in point, not once at Burnley away did he get shrugged off. He's just too quick and his ball control is unreal at times.Maybe getting bigger physically will just be a bonus.
dmayne7 Posted 8 April 2014 Posted 8 April 2014 Interesting to see Andy 'Not physically good enough' King, in the top 3 for everything...

Not a chance. Knocky is one of my favourite players but quick he is not
