Not a chance. Knocky is one of my favourite players but quick he is not

It's fact. In testing at the club Knockaert ran a 1.54 over 10m and Dyer ran 1.55 over the same distance. Mahrez hasn't done the test but as it stands Knocky is the quickest midfielder we have over 10 metres.

I think Mahrez is an absolute sensation! I wouldn't put it past him to be at the World Cup, have a starring role for Algeria AND perform for us in the Prem.

Regardless of pace, Knocky, Mahrez and Dyer are all smart footballers and individuals - they will learn to develop their skills to make a sting in the Prem next season!

knocky's footwork makes up for his lack of pace in this league, whether he can pull it off in the league above we shall have to see. he's definitely not ridiculously slow but he does lack enough pace to stop him getting away from a full back. i still love him though.

- salam alaikum, I have not been incorporated into progressively by small pieces of games because I got a team that was already running well. But now the coach trusts me.

This is true, it's also the reason why he's not a natural winger. As I've always said, in an ideal world, he'd be in the centre of midfield.

I'd love it if he went to the WC.

They're in a fairly poor group though.

Looking at their "recent callups" on Wiki, it seems that there are a lot of English-based players. Gueddiora, Djebbour, Bentaleb and Belkalem.

Russia and Belgium?

They'll be lucky if they get a point

This is what i'm saying.

They're not in a group that'll attract much attention and they're still likely to get beat.

Although, if they beat Russia (could easily happen, remember Capello struggling against this side with better players in 2010) then I think they'll qualify (assuming they beat Korea).

Posted

Why would you assume they'd beat Korea? I wouldn't assume Russia would beat Korea.

Apologies all.

Full force brain fart. Mistook them for North Korea,

Yeah, they're not getting through that group.

Who added Ballon D'or winner 2017 to it lol ?

Well this seems like much less of a joke than it would have been back in 2014 :)

Love reading back through this thread. I remember his debut against Boro, came on and didn't give the ball away once. Had high hopes for him straight away, but never thought he would go on to be one of our greatest ever players.

Good article but why the hell was I reading it with a French accent in my head?

Somehow made it easier to understand.

Listen carefully... I will say this only once.....

No one talked about this, but is seems that mahrez's wife  has given birth to his second kid. I am really exited because mahrez struggled a little last season because of his wife's pregnancy, but after that. He came back and played great. So yeah, here is for hoppinglol:ph34r:

Amazing to see Riyad in The Guardian top ten of the 100 best in the world for 2016.

If you want players to improve, train them and explain to them what you want them to do. Give them every help and ammunition so they can improve themselves and the team. But dropping them to the bench and having them pissed off does that really work! Does it improve the player or the team!
