Jakemoore Posted 5 April 2014 Posted 5 April 2014 I'd just like a rough idea of how many people cried today when the QPR match hit full time… Be it, full on crying or just shedding a few tears! I let it go in the office at work and my colleagues were laughing at me. I wasn't bothered one bit Whose with me?
Jakemoore Posted 5 April 2014 Author Posted 5 April 2014 Unfortunately I am That'll do. I just wanted to confirm that it wasn't just me haha
THEBIGJOHNSTEADER; Posted 5 April 2014 Posted 5 April 2014 I just did a little dance. Pimps don't cry
ThurnbyLodgeFox Posted 5 April 2014 Posted 5 April 2014 That'll do. I just wanted to confirm that it wasn't just me haha I'd love to see the woman that said 'it's just a game' to me after that Deeney goal now
TheUltimateWinner Posted 5 April 2014 Posted 5 April 2014 I danced around the room in my underwear, then sat down and started crying.
Soup Posted 5 April 2014 Posted 5 April 2014 Yes I did, thought of my Dad who passed away 17 years ago.Dragged me round the country in the 80's.Me always falling asleep on the way back. Never forget him saying when we were in with the home fans at Old Trafford,if we score don't say a word.Lineker scored and he went ballistic.Miss you man.

Bloody hell mate, you nearly started me off again. Luckily I've still got my dad, he's 90 and still a city fan. Sometimes feel he's holding on to see us back in the premiership.
Stadt Posted 5 April 2014 Posted 5 April 2014 Unfortunately I didn't really do anything, I just sort of went "yeeeeeaaaahhh" but it was definitely an anticlimax.
Vacamion Posted 5 April 2014 Posted 5 April 2014 I'm not crying, I'm smiling. The last game my Dad saw before he died was the loss at Stoke in 2008 that sent us down to the 3rd tier. He was gutted about that (even though he knew he was on his way out, he cared enough about City to be gutted). He first took me to a home game against Villa in the late 70s when I was far too young and the Villa fans invaded the pitch and there was crowd trouble and I LOVED it. He would have been rubbing his hands and grinning this evening. Sweet.
Jakemoore Posted 5 April 2014 Author Posted 5 April 2014 Had no idea I'd start this type of thread…Thanks for sharing some of this personal stories. Its real nice to read. I haven't stopped beaming ear to ear since 5 o'clock!
LCFC1996 Posted 5 April 2014 Posted 5 April 2014 didn't quite come to tears just a fail of a knee slide that resulted in a face plant, all worth it!

Leicesterpool Posted 5 April 2014 Posted 5 April 2014 There's nothing wrong about crying, the only time i think I've shed a tear was Watford away last season, my god compare that moment to now!
bovril Posted 5 April 2014 Posted 5 April 2014 Great memories and stories from Soup Nazi and Vacamion. I phoned my Dad then wandered into the city centre with my City top on and wearing a big shit-eating grin.
Simmo86 Posted 5 April 2014 Posted 5 April 2014 Me too. Had SSN on and reading Twitter and was just so happy, started crying Mrs started laughing at me

KFS Posted 5 April 2014 Posted 5 April 2014 This thread has got me going. Just goes to show how much more it means to people.
Nalis Posted 5 April 2014 Posted 5 April 2014 This thread alone is close to setting us off! I beamed a smile this avo rather than shed a tear though I can understand for those who devoted more time, money and energy watching shite over the previous 10 years home and away perhaps it was more emotional.
Haydos Posted 5 April 2014 Posted 5 April 2014 My dad first started taking me to FNF back in the 90's when I was a young'un. Many of you may remember Van Haydon Travel on Granby Street and some may even have known Tim. He passed away when I was 13 but we'd been to many matches together and he's the reason Leicester City means so much to me today. He and his friends had and still do have so much passion for the club and even bought my season ticket and shirt for the following season. I only wish I'd been able to spend a few of my teenage years with him, to have talked football now I'm a bit older. He would have been sick of the Championship by now but we had some great times under O'Neil and we got to see the League Cup wins together which I am so glad of. We've entered a new era now and I hope more of these memories are made. Dads are one of the reason football is more than just a game,
