RowlattsFox Posted 8 April 2014 Posted 8 April 2014 We have could have done with a few more days in between getting promoted and playing again. Clearly lost focus, pretty sure Pearson will be furious and won't let it happen again.
RoboFox Posted 8 April 2014 Posted 8 April 2014 ...But seriously, disappointing but not the end of the end of the world. Need some work on the wider squad in the summer, though.
An Away Move Posted 8 April 2014 Posted 8 April 2014 Delighted we are up. And very pleased I did not cancel work and go on a 200 mile trip for that performance. That would have really pi**ed me off. Justifiably so I think.
foxes1988 Posted 8 April 2014 Posted 8 April 2014 Players hung over? Nevermind that they must still be pissed! Although it was a disappointing way we lost, if any group of players had earnt any leeway then its this lot. Although I bet knowing them they will be as disappointed as anyone. Hopefully a bit of a kick up the arse and then start again for the title. :scarf:
Socks Posted 8 April 2014 Posted 8 April 2014 I agree that was rather embarrassing after what we just achieved Just glad were going into a slump now when we are already promoted
Guest Col city fan Posted 8 April 2014 Posted 8 April 2014 Well thats 90 mins I'll not get back. Not that it matters particularly. Shame we were so poor on the pitch. Off it.. the fans were superb.
Aus Fox Posted 8 April 2014 Posted 8 April 2014 At least we only lost the second half 2-1! And won the last 5 minutes 1-0
darko2k7 Posted 8 April 2014 Posted 8 April 2014 This " oh well" and " we are already champions" attitude is peeving me off more than the performance . Not Champions yet boys and girls !
Mark_from_USA Posted 8 April 2014 Posted 8 April 2014 We'll forget it in the morning. Imagine being a Yeovil or Barnsley fan. Both likely lost their last hope of avoiding the drop tonight.
Phube Posted 8 April 2014 Posted 8 April 2014 I apologise... I have only listened to a handful of games this season and we have lost all of them... Today I listened whilst cooking. When I switched off the radio at 4-0. We scored a goal almost straight away. Once again, sorry...
HesNotGudjonsonn2 Posted 8 April 2014 Posted 8 April 2014 I have never known a football match where we have lost 4-1 and I simply don't care one little bit. So what, so what. We are still going up and it is meaningless.
katieakita Posted 8 April 2014 Posted 8 April 2014 Well you are allowed a poor performance and if it comes after automatic promotion it cant be to bad. Will give the players a kick up the pants and now they can focus on winning the league. It's a fact that Leicester have a problem when out on the piss before a game. Good job we weren't playing Florist
hackneyfox Posted 8 April 2014 Posted 8 April 2014 Probably missed it but why weren't Schlupp or De Laet not on the bench?
fox123 Posted 8 April 2014 Posted 8 April 2014 I'm not going to make excuses for hangovers. I can imagine Nigel would have told the lads to have a blow out Saturday but come in fresh Monday morning. We had an extra days rest to them with playing Friday night, they just wanted it more and by the sounds of things, fair play. Complacent we shouldn't have been, every game in this division is hard and they owed it to the paying fans to put on a display. Set pieces really do need sorting out, as I've previously mentioned, the quality of balls are going to be far better next season.

Really Glad to hear that. The Yeovil game rally annoyed me because our 'fans' were so negative and quick to get on the players back. Perhaps that was down to nerves and we just wanted promotion confirmed.
Tuna Posted 8 April 2014 Posted 8 April 2014 Play like that at Reading and it will be a blood bath. Nothing less than a win and a good performance will do there. Players playing for their futures. Pearson can forget this loyalty nonsense. We fook it up in the premier league and he'll be out at christmas. Can you imagine Konchesky playing in the premier league?
pazzerfox Posted 8 April 2014 Posted 8 April 2014 We are allowed 1 poor performance after our monumental effort this season surely.
foxes_rule1978 Posted 8 April 2014 Posted 8 April 2014 Looked like the players had been partying all weekend, back to business against Reading... need to secure the title.
The Guvnor Posted 8 April 2014 Posted 8 April 2014 Well Brighton have p^ssed on our party poppers, not really the result expected from Champions elect, hopefully just a blip would be gutted to lose the championship title!!
Guest ttfn Posted 8 April 2014 Posted 8 April 2014 We are allowed 1 poor performance after our monumental effort this season surely. Agreed but it was very bad timing.

Danno Posted 8 April 2014 Posted 8 April 2014 Not a great team selection tonight, no pace in the side.

I know when I have a 'blow out' on Saturday, it takes me until Thursday to recover!
