QPR pre-match thread

Seems strange to be saying it about a team promoted with six games to play, but I think we need a big performance on Saturday, the standard has dropped recently (variety of reasons- team changes, nerves before promotion, relaxing after promotion).

De Laet

Moore

Schlupp

Mahrez

Drinkwater

James

Knockaert

It would be really nice to have that starting 11 back and firing on all cylinders again.

I have a good feeling about the game and would love to batter QPR just to rub Harry's big flabby face in it.

Apart from winning the league I just want us to try Knockaert or Mahrez in place of Nugent, he and GTF won't be good enough next season in that role yet they are the only two being played there.

I have doubts Knockaert will have as much impact next season out wide due to his lack of pace, we should see what he can do more central.

Knocky in for Dyer

Going to be quite tight. I think 2-1 to us. Hard to guess who will score for us because everyone but the CBs are capable.

I'm going to guess Mahrez and Vardy.

Proposed chants:

"England job, you're 'avin a laugh"

"You only need a few more players"

And when we're beating them: "Harry! What's you're excuse? Harry, Harry. What's your excuse?"

Going to be a tough game and got to up a gear against QPR. They have some excellent players but if Burnley lose Friday the ground should be rocking.

Pearson seems to suggest that James won't make Saturday in the mercury. So who do you prefer next to drinky? King or Hammond?

Hammond for me.

He plays the defensive role better than King IMO

A QPR fan and STH for 40 years made herself known to me at work this morning, but she's a massive Patti Smith fan too so it's OK. She's not optimistic about her team's chances at the weekend.

I just smiled.......... :)

Is it a good thing Burnley play Friday evening, do you think? If they lose, and I hope they do, might it not make our boys complacent, just a wee bit? I'd like to think not, but confidence and motivation are slippery beasts at any time.

But oh, how good it would be to do in style on Saturday! :chant: :chant: :chant:

Think if Burnley lose motivation will be high, with the chance to seal the title there and then.

That's what I'm hoping for, but I was born to pessimise........

Don't think its going to happen this weekend to be honest, Burnley have lost 4 all season, they aren't going to lose 2 in a row.

It'll happen on Monday when we aren't playing (again). Nailed on.
