Nugent, the club's leading scorer, has been in talks over a deal for the past month and is expected to agree terms and extend his stay. The 29-year-old forward was signed by former Leicester manager Sven-Goran Eriksson from Portsmouth in 2011 and will be a free agent this summer. But Leicester have offered him a new contract after clinching promotion from the Championship and are confident he will commit his future to the club later this month. Kasper Schmeichel, the Denmark international, is also in negotiations while Pearson's representative is discussing a new three-year deal withLeicester's director of football Terry Robinson. Trav Le Bleu Posted 6 May 2014 Posted 6 May 2014 Dear Lloyd, why would you consider moving to Forest? Are you allergic to playing in the Premiership? One season in Premiership with LCFC > all eternity in hell (playing for Forest) Your's concernedly, Trav Le Bleu
StanSP Posted 6 May 2014 Posted 6 May 2014 Kasper's not in talks with a 3-year deal. He's making reference to Pearson's deal, there. But yay for Nugent! :nuge:
MC Prussian Posted 6 May 2014 Posted 6 May 2014 Nugent's got to be one of many (signing a new contract). Exciting news at the start of the summer break! Hopefully, this will act as an initiation for others to follow suit soon.
Dan Posted 6 May 2014 Posted 6 May 2014 Glad to hear it. He has had a lot of quiet games but you only have to watch the highlights to see how good he is for us when we're attacking.
MikeyT Posted 6 May 2014 Posted 6 May 2014 Good news about Nugent. Hopeful of Kasper signing a new deal too. But Lloyd...WTF!!!
foxoffderby Posted 6 May 2014 Posted 6 May 2014 Kasper is the one I want signed up. The others I can take it or leave it

Corky Posted 6 May 2014 Posted 6 May 2014 I assume if Lloyd goes to Forest we won't be embarking on an Anderlecht style trip to see a cult hero at his new club?
Grandad. Posted 6 May 2014 Posted 6 May 2014 Fingers crossed you can get the rest signed up sooner rather than later, supporting a club like I do, don't follow our trend of delaying deals and having your summer dealings taken up with current players.
pen_3 Posted 6 May 2014 Posted 6 May 2014 Dyer will not be missed. He would be an embarrassment in the Prem.

Fox92 Posted 6 May 2014 Posted 6 May 2014 Very good news about both Nugent and especially Nigel Pearson. I don't get Dyer at all though. Is it the year thing? I understand players want to be secure and Dyer might want a three year contract especially considering he's coming to the end of his career now, but from a football view he has a chance to play in the Premier League. In fact, it will be his only chance to play in the Premier League. He's contributed so much to this season, and he's always talking about Leicester being his club, I just think it would be sad way to leave it now we're in the Premier League. However, if a player doesn't want to sign a contract for whatever reason I'm not bothered. It's Dyer's loss, not Leicester's.
pen_3 Posted 6 May 2014 Posted 6 May 2014 Dyer is garbage, apart from his effort v Bolton, which was quite ironic really, there is no end product 99% of the time - get rid.
Harry - LCFC Posted 6 May 2014 Posted 6 May 2014 Dyer is garbage, apart from his effort v Bolton, which was quite ironic really, there is no end product 99% of the time - get rid. I dunno, when nearly everyone had him down as a candidate for player of the season up until about our 30th game I sort of wonder if 'garbage' is the right term to use
tomtom Posted 6 May 2014 Posted 6 May 2014 Dyer will not be missed. He would be an embarrassment in the Prem. Hmmm, been a member 2 weeks ? Plastic troll
Finnaldo Posted 6 May 2014 Posted 6 May 2014 Dyer is garbage, apart from his effort v Bolton, which was quite ironic really, there is no end product 99% of the time - get rid. What about his other 9 goals and 7 assists? I wouldn't exactly call that 'garbage'.
ealingfox Posted 6 May 2014 Posted 6 May 2014 Harsh I know, but I won't be holding much hope for us surviving if Nugent is to be our main man up top. Feel like Vardy could be a success with a quality no.10 style forward up there with him, and I don't think Nuge is that man. Needs too many chances to get one in. Still happy if someone else is to be signed though.

blueonyou Posted 6 May 2014 Posted 6 May 2014 I like Nuge, but he's not going to be amazing in the Prem. We need a very decent striker signed with Vardy playing off. Then Nuge and Wood on the bench. Great news tho. Not bothered about Dyer, I think he would run out of puff 1/3rd through a prem season. He's the kind of player that needs 90 mins week in week out at a lower level to keep his fitness and career going, and I suspect he realises that.
