im 50/50 on this one , i remember him raping Evra up the wing once and i thought to myself this lad is a gem but since then he has been a bit hit and miss . I feel like he is the Premiership Ben Marshall, the kid has talent just not consistent . I think and hope NP will get the best out of him, he is still only 24 and with a bit of man management and a NP hug the boy could turn out to be a shrewd signing .

Except at Villa, it's brought in various player who just aren't good enough. Other than Benteke and to a lesser extent, Vlaar/Okare, it's failed. For example Luna, Bacuna, Helenius, El Ahmedi, Tonev and Sylla have all failed to be consistent performers. Whereas the British lads of Westwood, Delph and Lowton have been praised.

Benteke will be on far more than 30k a week surely. All the big guns were after him last summer. I doubt he would have stayed at Villa for 30k instead. If he did he needs to sack his agent!!

I doubt it would be that much, especially if they are being remunerated via higher than normal wages for being a free. Anyway, I wasn't trying to post exact figures, more just highlighting that higher wages doesn't always mean worse deal when you take it all into account.
