cc_star Posted 11 March 2015 Posted 11 March 2015 Just out of interest why wouldn't have Pulis not being interested in coming? Was Pulis even available? I thought he was on gardening leave until Jan as per his conditions when departing from Palace... and then West Brom came in for him - who would you pick with no loyalty to us? In his negotiations, he was given full control - unlike his last job at Palace, obviously he could have got that hear, but going there was a pretty simple way to ensure he keeps his reputation

Guest MattP Posted 11 March 2015 Posted 11 March 2015 Just out of interest why wouldn't have Pulis not being interested in coming? Because he was walking into a West Brom squad that is far better than ours and was severely underachieving. Clever bloke Pulis. Would probably have had a look at Kasper and our defenders thinking **** this.

Can't blame him, reminds me of the old Curb episode where the guy deliberately pretends to have down syndrome jump a long movie queue. Not gonna argue with a man in a wheelchair.
Corky Posted 11 March 2015 Posted 11 March 2015 Just out of interest why wouldn't have Pulis not being interested in coming? Because he was likely to be in demand and have a choice of clubs. He went to Palace last year when they were struggling without the wider reputation he now has. He proved with another club he could survive and that made him more attractive. There was always likely to be another club available (West Brom, Villa, possibly Sunderland) who would look to change manager and they were in a better position than ourselves. It seems like he wasn't available until January, you saw where we were placed and we were the least attractive proposition.
st albans fox Posted 11 March 2015 Posted 11 March 2015 Watching the best team in our league being totally outclassed by a ten man side that aren't even top in league un! PL so over rated. Exciting and competitive but over rated
Guest Papasmurf Posted 11 March 2015 Posted 11 March 2015 He went to Palace last year when they were struggling They were dead and buried. Did some great business in January too.
CosbehFox Posted 11 March 2015 Posted 11 March 2015 They were dead and buried. Did some great business in January too. He took the Palace job with enough time to turn it around despite their position. I think he'd have came here too late for that sort of impact personally. A managerial change had to be December and we missed the boat.
Tielemans63 Posted 14 March 2015 Posted 14 March 2015 According to Eurosport it's about to come out that QPR face a £58 million FFP fine. Crikey.
cjslcfc Posted 14 March 2015 Posted 14 March 2015 According to Eurosport it's about to come out that QPR face a £58 million FFP fine. Crikey. I put this in the other thread but this is for your benefit http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-2993315/QPR-fined-50m-breaching-Financial-Fair-Play-rules.html?ITO=1490&ns_mchannel=rss&ns_campaign=1490&utm_source=dlvr.it&utm_medium=twitter
ScouseFox Posted 14 March 2015 Posted 14 March 2015 how bad is this division @mikemccarthy: Leicester City have won more PL games since Christmas (2) than West Ham, Sunderland, Burnley, Everton, QPR & Villa (1). #clutchingatstraws
Sunbury Fox Posted 14 March 2015 Posted 14 March 2015 Need Palace to beat QPR in this game. QPR have gone with a very attacking line up. Commentators saying that you have to take risks if you down at the bottom at this stage. Hope Nige takes note.
Guest Bilo Posted 14 March 2015 Posted 14 March 2015 If it stays like that, a win today could be massive given Burnley have Man City to overcome.
Matt Posted 14 March 2015 Posted 14 March 2015 If it stays like that, a win today could be massive given Burnley have Man City to overcome. I get your point, it's fact, what I will say though is how many times have we been given chances? When have we ever made the most of them? This is what I'm saying to everyone who believes we have the easiest run in and other teams have really hard run ins, chances are it really doesn't matter because we won't take our chances when given them.
Xen Posted 14 March 2015 Posted 14 March 2015 If it stays like that, a win today could be massive given Burnley have Man City to overcome. We'd still be bottom and at least 4 points away from safety, but only a point below the two teams above us would be a huge psychological boost to our players. We just have to win today first...
Sunbury Fox Posted 14 March 2015 Posted 14 March 2015 Palace are so good at set pieces. Reminds me of us under O'Neill.
Sunbury Fox Posted 14 March 2015 Posted 14 March 2015 Shows how poor we have been if we are 4 points below QPR. They are shocking.

The Doctor Posted 14 March 2015 Posted 14 March 2015 QPR are getting smashed - this can only be good for us: will destroy their morale.
lcfcsnow Posted 14 March 2015 Posted 14 March 2015 QPR are getting smashed - this can only be good for us: will destroy their morale. Finishing 19th would be one consolation I suppose.
