Leicesterpool Posted 11 May 2015 Posted 11 May 2015 QPR I think will struggle next season, problems off the field will put decent managers off. I wouldn't be surprised if Ramsay gets the job permanently, not because he's done a good job but because they'll be most likely no one else.
yorkie1999 Posted 11 May 2015 Posted 11 May 2015 Just been reading on sky that QPR are challenging the ffp rules, Surely if they are challenging it, they must know they are going to get clobbered or they would have kept their mouths shut.
ealingfox Posted 11 May 2015 Posted 11 May 2015 Really stopped buying all the Burnley and Dyche bumming now. They did not achieve anything. First to go down, no goals for 10 hours on TWO separate occasions, in the bottom 3 nearly all season, down with games to spare, barely an acceptable run of form all season. The money they did invest was invested poorly. You're not convincing me that £2m couldn't have got them better players from across the Football League than Jutkiewicz and Sordell. No way. Very average use of the loan market too. Teams have come up with no money before and made a better fist of it than them. Blackpool for example, came up with a far worse team and even less money, and only went down on the last day after losing away at Old Trafford in a game which they were winning at half-time. Fair play to Dyche, he has thrust his propaganda at us all all season and its worked, getting him off scot-free and appearing blameless, and brainwashing the media into rimming him and his side for doing fvck all but scrape a drab win over a Man City side in poor form at the time. Sorely hope we don't get dragged down with them so we have to listen to his muck and their bang-average fans telling us that their side is as good if not better than ours all next season. Fvck off.
Babylon Posted 11 May 2015 Posted 11 May 2015 Are we allowed to say we are better than QPR yet? Not just yet... lets wait until we are safe, then I'm going in to full on smug mode.

Captain... Posted 11 May 2015 Posted 11 May 2015 http://www.express.co.uk/sport/football/576156/Bournemouth-Former-Man-United-Striker-Dimitar-Berbatov Just heard them talking about it during the Chelsea v Liverpool game, had to google it and read more! That link lead me to this link: http://www.express.co.uk/sport/football/576441/QPR-UNCOVERED-Rangers-Redknapp-FFP-Ramsey Thought it would be worth a laugh, it wasn't and one bit really annoyed me: Redknapp this morning hit the nail on the head as he said that the team Ramsey fielded at the Etihad was basically the same one that got them out of the Championship, barring three new faces. There were, and still are, a Championship side. Hang on, of the 14 players that pulled on the royal blue on Saturday 10 had been with us in the Champ, one was in the Champ with Brighton, 2 came from the PL and one is an Argentine Legend. The problem is not that they are a championship side, nor that they are championship players (many of them Green, Dunne, Barton, Shaun Wright Phillips have spent most of their careers in the Prem and only last season in the Champ). The problem is they aren't a team and throwing money around to buy "established premier league players" wouldn't solve that. Typical Redknapp solution to a problem, maybe if he had spent more time building a team and less time in the transfer market they wouldn't be in this mess, but the are so fvck them.
Captain... Posted 11 May 2015 Posted 11 May 2015 Another thing that is annoying me today, the Europa League qualification race. I get that it is a bit of a poisoned chalice, but the form of Spurs and Saints has been appalling, if you don't want to play in the Europa league, then just throw the qualifier match, or name your kids in the Europa League don't throw away your whole season, Spurs and Southampton have both dropped 10 points in their last 5 games and if they hadn't clocked off early then they could be challenging United for 4th (10 points away) or at least taken 5th from Liverpool. The stupid thing is they will probably both qualify for the Europa League anyway.
foxes_rule1978 Posted 11 May 2015 Posted 11 May 2015 Are we allowed to say we are better than QPR yet? we are better than Burnley and QPR in everyway ...
BosomBouncer Posted 11 May 2015 Posted 11 May 2015 I have it on reasonable authority from a family friend who is supposedly 'good friends' with Redknapp, that there were problems at QPR right at the start of the season. Apparently, Tony Fernandes agreed to pay 'Arry a bonus of £3mil, if he managed to get QPR to stay up. Redknapp was convinced he could keep them up, but had heard he was getting the chop towards the end of the season, regardless of whether he got them to stay up, as he had heard Fernandes was scared of the FFP stuff and wasn't going to shell out the £3mil. That, and the fact that he wants to get back in to football and the poor January recruitment was apparently why he resigned... Clearly looks better to blame and injury and resign then get sacked! The friend is a bit of a crook - the sort who is able to get a disabled badge for anyone, which partly makes me believe him, as I suppose he's the sort of geezer Harry would hang out with in another life...but also makes me question him.

Presume he got one for Harry to cover the fake knee problem.
BosomBouncer Posted 11 May 2015 Posted 11 May 2015 Presume he got one for Harry to cover the fake knee problem. I should suppose so! Listening to Talksport last night (I know, terrible...) the hosts were berating 'Arry for being a bit of a pathetic sick-note. A rather convenient injury, whenever times are tough!

A bonus would have to be in the contract. If not then I believe it's very illegal either in terms of the law or FA rules.
BosomBouncer Posted 11 May 2015 Posted 11 May 2015 A bonus would have to be in the contract. If not then I believe it's very illegal either in terms of the law or FA rules. Probably was in the contract - I hadn't asked to be honest. But they way he would of got out of paying it without trouble, would have been to sack him towards the end, before they're mathematically safe, to avoid triggering the clause. Of course this is all hypothetical, and potentially bull-poo! Just thought it was worth sharing, because I've always had a decent view of Fernandes. I watched a documentary about QPR and he came across well in that - fair and generous (I guess you'd have to be to spend the amount he has done!) and then another documentary about him being a billionaire... It was about his lifestyle and the principles he lives by - again came across well, in my opinion. I like documentaries.

Harry is just a poor man's Sven, fortunately our owners saw through Sven very quickly whereas Harry was mugging off Fernandes2 years, and still is now it sounds like.
MC Prussian Posted 11 May 2015 Posted 11 May 2015 What are the chances of 'Arry retiring for good? Odds?

Just look at the way Sevilla have embraced it, it's hardly affected their league form and they have a very good chance of champions league football either way!
Babylon Posted 11 May 2015 Posted 11 May 2015 Looks like Bournemouth are next seasons Burnley then with Monday Night Bournemouth. Aka the Eddie Howe show. "So eddie do you do a Burnley and stick with the same players or a Leicester". Oh right... There was me thinking Burnley signed at least 9 fecking players.
ScouseFox Posted 11 May 2015 Posted 11 May 2015 We've only spent money on one player who's been playing recently. The rest are either last year's players or frees. But of course we abandoned last year's whole squad and filled it with expensive signings.

Stevosevic Posted 11 May 2015 Posted 11 May 2015 He said he will go with the core of the team because they got them there.
