Gerard Posted 12 May 2015 Posted 12 May 2015 Who on earth are the absolute wrong'uns paying over a bag for Gerrard tickets? No one, it's all lies. In a stadium that holds 40,000+ in what is mainly a meaningless game do you think the market would be £1300? Waft half that under there noses for their tickets and at least 95% would sell them.
Max Power Posted 13 May 2015 Posted 13 May 2015 Jack Grealish turns down Republic of Ireland call-up for two friendles because he "can't make his mind up". http://www.bbc.com/sport/0/football/32703107 So he thinks he can feature for England potentially? Well... He might as well keep his options open. Not like England are stocking with stylish attacking midfielders.
tylesta Posted 13 May 2015 Posted 13 May 2015 Who on earth are the absolute wrong'uns paying over a bag for Gerrard tickets? What ever Liverpool fans are selling them are idiots. Not so long ago they were complaing about paying 50 quid for a ticket
Fox92 Posted 14 May 2015 Posted 14 May 2015 Brad Friedel retires. One of the Premier League's great goalkeepers for me.
cc_star Posted 14 May 2015 Posted 14 May 2015 Ahead of the final game QPR: Manager Chris Ramsey to find out fate next week http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/32735349
LCCFox96 Posted 14 May 2015 Posted 14 May 2015 Ahead of the final game QPR: Manager Chris Ramsey to find out fate next week http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/32735349 QPR could do worse than giving Ramsey a chance. Their major problem is finances and their wage bill. But considering that they have the opportunity to release Wright-Phillips, Ferdinand, Barton, Dunne, Murphy, Zamora, Henry, Hill and Faurlin, whilst their loanees Isla, Vargas, Krancjar and Zarate all return to their parent clubs I'd imagine that saves a fair whack on the wage bill. That at least gives Ramsey a clean slate and a fresher set of finances to work with.
kingcarr21 Posted 14 May 2015 Posted 14 May 2015 Why is this in the Premiership Thread. Doesnt all QPR talk belong in the Championship Thread now
MC Prussian Posted 14 May 2015 Posted 14 May 2015 Manchester United report a loss in revenue of £2.9m in the first quarter alone: http://www.bbc.com/news/business-32738997
MC Prussian Posted 14 May 2015 Posted 14 May 2015 Brad Friedel retires. One of the Premier League's great goalkeepers for me. Wonder whether we'll see Schwarzer's testimonial match at home against QPR then...
ScouseFox Posted 14 May 2015 Posted 14 May 2015 hoping qpr do a burnley and help steer us to safety just a tad too late to do anything for themselves. thanks u rz. edit - lmao just seen sean dyche on ssn still moaning about money, and still saying "not spending any money was the right thing to do". so presumably still conveniently ignore all the money he did spend
Matt Posted 14 May 2015 Posted 14 May 2015 Not seen this posted anyway; http://talksport.com/football/value-money-premier-league-all-20-clubs-ranked-cost-point-so-far-season-150514146723 We're 6th in the 'Value for money Premier League table' (They've worked out how much each point cost). 1 - Swansea (£386,608 Per Point) 2 - Southampton (£410,526) 3 - Stoke (£719,000) 4 - Tottenham (£968,966) 5 - Burnley (£1,074,483) 6 - Leicester (£1,129,730) (Leicester's net spend is £41.8m and they have collected 37 points, giving a cost per point of £1,129,730) 7 - Chelsea (£1,216,667) 8 - Crystal Palace (£1,229,524) 9 - Aston Villa (£1,276,316) 10 - West Brom (£1,389,268) 11 - Sunderland (£1,419,722) 12 - West Ham (£1,540,426) 13 - Hull City (£1,658,824) 14 - Everton (£1,712,500) 15 - Liverpool (£1,806,452) 16 - Newcastle (£1,813,889) 17 - QPR (£2,288,889) 18 - Arsenal (£2,295,714) 19 - Man City (£2,424,658) 20 - Man Utd (£3,484,824) *How true the figures are, who knows.
Stadt Posted 14 May 2015 Posted 14 May 2015 Brilliant comment from a Hull fan on that article 'Ha ha ha terrible signing great passer of the ball and great in slow italian football but in the fast direct premier league he wont have the legs, the same amount of time to pick out the pass and in the past he has been prone to injury' What about signing a young english player, not an OAP, this is why England fail at major tournaments , yeah a newly promoted side choosing to sign a foreign player to play with the other 4 british midfielders
MC Prussian Posted 14 May 2015 Posted 14 May 2015 Pochettino challenging his players, deeming no one safe: http://www.bbc.com/sport/0/football/32746911 Maybe some much-needed incentive before the weekend's game against Hull? One can hope it'll do the trick.
TJB-fox Posted 14 May 2015 Posted 14 May 2015 Looking at the spend per point table makes you realise how well Swansea city are run. Stable finances and always seem to have an eye for a great manager

MC Prussian Posted 15 May 2015 Posted 15 May 2015 http://www.safc.com/news/club-news/2015/may/lma-award Some kind of joke? No, it's the LMAO award after all.
weller54 Posted 15 May 2015 Posted 15 May 2015 Just read Joey Barton is on 65k a week at QPR!!!... Wtf!!
Julian Joachim Jr Shabadoo Posted 15 May 2015 Posted 15 May 2015 http://www.safc.com/news/club-news/2015/may/lma-award Some kind of joke? To fluke your way to a win against a team with nothing to play for and rely on some dubious refereeing decisions to get anything out of the game... they should have been awarded this instead
kingcarr21 Posted 15 May 2015 Posted 15 May 2015 http://www.safc.com/news/club-news/2015/may/lma-award Some kind of joke? How on earth do you get awarded Performance of the week with ridiculous referee decisions and incredible Luck. Their actual performance was dog shit. Absolutely hilarious
Captain... Posted 15 May 2015 Posted 15 May 2015 How on earth do you get awarded Performance of the week with ridiculous referee decisions and incredible Luck. Their actual performance was dog shit. Absolutely hilarious It was managerial performance of the week, as it is presented by the LMA, so it goes to Dik Advocat for getting that shambles to even compete with Everton, and for training them on how to anticipate the wayward shooting of their colleagues and get a deflection.
Captain... Posted 15 May 2015 Posted 15 May 2015 Apparently Pearson won it once this season too, no prizes for guessing which game... click here to not win a prize
Captain... Posted 15 May 2015 Posted 15 May 2015 and it wasn't his first one either: which game did NP win the LMA award for last season?
Guest ttfn Posted 15 May 2015 Posted 15 May 2015 Hopefully they will now suffer from the dreaded manager of the week curse
