Chelsea have a chant about celery. They were chucking of the bus the other year when they won the CL too.

Just watched Match of the Day from yesterday. What a grade A **** Marouane Fellaini is. Should get a 5/6 game ban at least for that 'tackle' on McShane.

Did you see the cut on McShane's leg? Had to have God knows how many staples in it.

Yep, horrendous wasn't it? Absolutely disgraceful challenge. Managed to cut McShane's head open in the same challenge too.

Rodgers saying to the owners 'if you want me to go I'll go' sounded like a plea to sack him. Can't see him surviving, and definitely not if Klopp expressed an interest.

Just look at Rodgers in the interview after the game, you can see how much the pressure is affecting him.

He looks awful, just look at his eyes and the colour of his lips.

Can't see him being there much longer.

The 2014/15 Premier League season in stats and facts

Last Updated: 25/05/15 2:57pm

  • premier-league-chelsea-sunderland-hull-n

Stats and facts from the 2014/15 Premier League season, provided by Opta...

WINS

Crystal Palace have now won two league games at Anfield. Alan Pardew played in the first (1991) and managed them in the second

Leicester became the first club to overturn a two-goal deficit against Manchester United in the Premier League when they beat them 5-3 in September.

Swansea became only the third team in Premier League history to beat both Arsenal and Man United home & away in the same season (along with West Ham in 06/07 and Chelsea in 09/10).

Relegated Hull have never won a Premier League fixture in May (D4 L9).

LOSSES

mauricio-pochettino-jose-mourinho-chelse

The four managers to defeat Mourinho this season all had names starting with P: Pardew, Pochettino, Parkinson and Pulis.

George Boyd became the 4th player to play for two relegated teams in the same PL seasons (along with Mark Robins in 94-95, Steve Kabba in 06-07 and David Nugent in 09-10).

Liverpool ended the season with their worst ever Premier League defeat (1-6) and it was the first time they’ve conceded 6+ goals in a league game since losing 7-2 to Tottenham in 1963.

Chelsea lost only four games all season (in all competitions), a record low for a team in the Premier League era.

Jose Mourinho has only lost two PL games by three goals (3-0 vs Middlesbrough in 2006, 3-0 vs WBA in 2015) and James Morrison played for the opposition in both.

QPR became the first team to lose their first 11 away games in a top-flight season since Liverpool in 1953/54.

ATTACK

Against Man Utd in May, Arsenal failed to have a single shot in the first-half of a PL game for the first time since November 2004 v Liverpool.

Ander Herrera scored with six of his seven shots on target in his debut Premier League campaign.

Sammy Ameobi scored eight seconds after coming on as a sub vs Tottenham, the fastest goal as a substitute Opta have recorded in the Premier League.

Sadio Mane's hat-trick for Southampton against Aston Villa took just two minutes and 56 seconds, the fastest ever seen in the Premier League.

olivier-giroud-arsenal-football_3276877.

Olivier Giroud scored in six consecutive Premier League games in Feb-April, the first Arsenal player to do so since Emmanuel Adebayor in 2008.

Liverpool ended the season with 52 goals, the same number that Luis Suarez and Daniel Sturridge scored between them in 2013-14.

Harry Kane won his team 24 points with his goals this season, more than any other player.

Kane became the first Tottenham player to score 30+ goals in all comps in a single season since Gary Lineker in 1991-92.

Robbie Fowler (twice) and Chris Sutton are the only players to reach 20 goals in a PL season at a younger age than Harry Kane this term.

John Terry became the Premier League’s all-time highest scoring defender (39).

Southampton became the first team in the Premier League era to score five goals in the first-half of a match and five goals in the second-half of a match in the same season.

Diego Costa became only the fourth Chelsea player to reach 20 goals in a Premier League campaign (after Hasselbaink, Drogba and Lampard).

Diego Costa has reached 10 PL goals in just nine games; the only player to reach double figures in fewer is Mick Quinn (6).

Sergio Aguero was the top scorer in all competitions amongst Premier League players this term (32) as well as winning the PL golden boot (26).

Sergio Aguero now has 10 goals in seven Premier League games against Tottenham.

Alexis Sanchez became the first Arsenal player to score 20 goals in his first season at the club since Thierry Henry.

Cesc Fabregas assisted 18 goals, only two short of Thierry Henry’s single season record of 20 in 2002-03. 18 was a personal record for Fabregas after his previous best of 17 with Arsenal in 2007-08.

wayne-rooney-man-utd-manchester-united-a

Wayne Rooney became the first player to score 10+ goals in 11 successive Premier League seasons.

But it took Wayne Rooney 560 minutes to attempt his first shot on target in the Premier League in 2015, due to his ill-fated spell in central midfield.

Eden Hazard missed the 10th penalty he took in the Premier League (his first failure) but scored the rebound.

QPR’s Charlie Austin and Burnley’s Danny Ings scored or assisted 55% and 54% of their team’s goals respectively in 2014-15.

13% of Stoke’s Premier League goals in 2014-15 came on the final day against Liverpool.

Villa scored 31 league goals this season. Their lowest ever in a single league season before this campaign was 36 in Division Two in 1969-70.

Manchester City finished as the top scoring team (83) in the Premier League for the third time in the last four campaigns.

With five in 2014-15, Peter Crouch has scored 47 headed goals in the Premier League, more than any other player.

The QPR v Leicester game in November saw 52 shots, the most recorded by Opta in a single Premier League game.

DEFENCE

Thibaut Courtois has kept 12 clean sheets in his debut Premier League season. Petr Cech kept 24 in his first campaign (04-05).

West Ham have ended their last 23 top-flight seasons with a negative goal difference.

rob-robert-green-qpr-queens-park-rangers

QPR’s Rob Green made more errors leading to a goal than any other Premier League player (6)

QPR’s Richard Dunne became the first player to reach double figures for own goals in Premier League history (10).

West Brom kept 10 clean sheets in 18 games under Tony Pulis, more than any other Premier League club in that period (Jan 10 onwards).

DISCIPLINE

Sunderland were shown 94 yellow cards, a record in a single Premier League season.

Gareth Barry became the first player to pick up 100 yellow cards in the Premier League – to date he has 104.

Lee Cattermole equalled a Premier League record by collecting 14 yellow cards in a single season. All 14 of Cattermole’s bookings in 2014-15 were for fouls.

Hazard saw 23 opponents booked for fouling him in the Premier League this season.

Newcastle’s Moussa Sissoko picked up five bookings for dissent, more than any other player.

LEAGUE POSITIONS

roberto-martinez-everton-martinez_330413

Everton finished in the bottom half of the table for the first time since 2005-06.

Stoke have finished ninth for two seasons in a row. This is the first time they’ve had two successive top-flight top half finishes since 1975.

Villa finished the season in 17th place; their lowest finish since 1994/95 (18th) and their lowest in a 38 game season since 1990/91 (17th).

If the Premier League had started when Alan Pardew had taken over at Crystal Palace, the Eagles would have finished sixth.

APPEARANCES

Didier Drogba (28) featured in more Premier League games than Diego Costa (26) this season.

Angel Di Maria completed 90 minutes in the Premier League only seven times this season.

jones-david-burnley_3298453.jpg?20150502

Burnley made fewer substitutions than any Premier League team this season.

Aston Villa were the only team to not to see a substitute score for them in the Premier League in 2014-15.

On the final day Petr Cech played his 333rd Premier League game for Chelsea; only two goalkeepers have played more for a single club (Jaaskelainen 379 for Bolton, Given 354 for Newcastle).

AND FINALLY…

Arsenal named six teams with the same line-up in April-May, the first time they’d done this since 1994.

Champions Chelsea topped the table for 274 days of the season, a record in the Premier League era. Last season’s title winners Man City were top for only 15 days.

Leicester City spent longer at the bottom of the table without being relegated than any side in Premier League history (140 days).

For the second successive season, the team bottom of the Premier League at Christmas stayed up.

John Terry became only the second outfield player to play every minute for a Premier League title winning side (along with Gary Pallister in 1992/93).

sergio-aguero-manchester-city-qpr_330154

Man City were the only side not be involved in a 0-0 draw in the Premier League this season.

The last time Burnley were in the Premier League prior to this season (2009/10), Chelsea ended up as champions, won a domestic cup and both Hull and Burnley were relegated.

Sunderland’s total of nine 0-0 draws is the joint-most by a team in a 38-game season.

Burnley outran their opponents in 37 of their 38 games this season (failing to do so only away at West Ham).

QPR v West Ham in April saw fewer successful passes than any other Premier League game in 2014-15 (337).

Santi Cazorla made 154 successful passes against Sunderland in May, the most by a player in a single Premier League game in 2014-15.

No other thread relevant for this but what the hell do Real Madrid expect or want? They sack manager after manager if they go a season without winning the Champions League or La Liga. I think Ancelotti is one of the best managers in the world and rumour has it that Benitez will replace him who is a downgrade in my opinion. If they had stability they would be unstoppable eventually.

Fellaini fouls all the time and we've seen him leave his elbow in before. Don't like him.

Real Madrid are a disgrace.

My nephew was born in Madrid and is turning 1 soon, I'm sending off an Atletico shirt to my family there ASAP to make sure he grows up supporting the right team there.

Wet Spam have qualified for the Europa League via the Fair Play table. Worth a punt on relegation next season? New manager, Thursday games and carrying bad form into next season.

If their European adventure is anything like Hull's then i cant see it being too much of a problem
