Biggest disappointment at World Cup 2014?

Many people expect England to go out in the group so would that class of disappointment?

I fancy Argentina to do well but I always think they have the potential to be shocked, particularly in a knockout round.

Player wise it will be a big disappointment if messi doesn't deliver something on the biggest stage.

I'd go with Holland, they have a good squad from midfield to attack, but defensively they aren't good enough, they are very inexperienced in that sense, majority of their defenders haven't played on big stages and are mostly under 24. I think Strootman missing from midfield due to injury is a big blow as well, quality player he is.

Uruguay. Well Suarez. Everyone wants to see him turn it on but I think they'll come off third best in a tough group.

Argentina are always hyped up and always have some quality players but the truth is they've always disappointed since Italia 90. No semi final since then. They're always a good bet to underperform.

Dont really see how England can be a disappointment when nobody really expects much from us, our own fans included.

It's not 2022 yet.

Come on its bound to be the much vaunted so called 'golden generation' Belgian team. Out in the group stage IMO. Top seeds my arse!

Belgium - everyone has been raving about them but personally I cant see it happening may the Euro's in 2 years but can't see them doing much in the world cup.

*I'm now heading to the bookies to put some money on them winning it  :P

Hodgson being manager.

You have a bit of a vendetta against him which in my opinion isn't fari at all - if he's not very positive at this tournament and unsuccessful (Reaching the quarters) then fair enough but at the minute you seem to absolutely hate one of our best managers of recent times.

Italy. Can see us beating them and them going in the group. Holland as well - obviously have some world class players but squads very young (and defence is shit) and can see the South American home advantage taking Chile through there.

Portugals tournament rests on Ronaldo being 100% fit - which he obviously wasn't for the CL final. A 100% fit Ronaldo can beat teams on his own and I think they might pip Germany to top spot. However, if hes not 100% can see them struggling to beat both Ghana and USA.

Hodgson being manager.

I admit i'm not a fan of his tactics, but wouldn't say he's the worst england coach. Miles better choice than if Redknapp would have took over from capello, at least Hodgson had international experience before taking the job. How many previous England managers do you know had international experience before taking the job.

Just a quick question Fox92 who would you prefer to see in the England dugout.

Don't hate him. He's just very defensive. People talk about playing Sterling or Lallana or Barkley, but it won't happen because Milner will play - not that Milner's a bad player, but he's the safe option - meaning we have no flair.

I'm England till I die and I admire our legends - Moore, Banks, Lineker etc - and I'd love for us to win the World Cup, or even European Championships, but I can't see it happening, especially under Hodgson because he's not positive enough. I honestly can't see us getting out of the group stages, never mind reaching the Quaters.

I hope I'm wrong though, but at the moment I'd be lying if I said "yeah I think we'll do well".

Capello had International experience didn't he? And Sven as well? .. I'm not sure, and I'm not sure who I'd want as England manager either.

Come on someone seriously talk to me about this France thing.

Their group is shite and they looked amazing against Norway mid week.

If everything stays in order, then they'll go a very long way.

Hence the reason why Nasri wasn't picked. Obviously a bad influence.
