65RosesFox Posted 29 May 2014 Posted 29 May 2014 I never really kept an eye on his progress, or should I say regress since his departure but based on this and only making 27 appearances (according to Wiki) since his move in 2012, I'll assume he didn't impress too much. I can't see too many well known clubs queueing up for his signature. http://www.spyghana.com/torric-jebrin-on-his-way-out/
mozartfox Posted 29 May 2014 Posted 29 May 2014 Does he need a car with COV within the registration number?
Kitchandro Posted 29 May 2014 Posted 29 May 2014 He wasn't THAT bad for us was he? Not good enough too often but he had some very dominant games.
Charl91 Posted 29 May 2014 Posted 29 May 2014 In hindsight, he isn't as good as Morgan, you're right. However Bamba did have some fantastic games for us. And you can't say he wasn't entertaining.
Stadt Posted 29 May 2014 Posted 29 May 2014 Absolutely collosal against Madrid, scored with his first ever touch, stepovers in our half and that massive egg on his forehead. Not the best defender but the most interesting we've probably had.
Freeman's Wharfer Posted 29 May 2014 Posted 29 May 2014 He was absolute class for us. I said it at the time and I'll say it again, how many goals could you actually look at and pinpoint Bamba as being at fault? You'll struggle to name one. I'm not complaining he left but he was never the liability/bombscare that people made out and what's more he was absolutely great to watch for a defender. He didn't move on because he wasn't good enough, he moved on because he was here for Sven and he was on too much money in much the manner that Fernandes left. It worked for us and it worked for him and both parties are probably happy with what's happened for them since. Since he left he's gone on to play top level football in Turkey (not as bad as some would have you believe) and for the Ivory Coast at major tournaments. He was far too good for The Championship.

Out Foxed Posted 29 May 2014 Posted 29 May 2014 did some crazy shit but we never actually paid for it

I used to watch Hibs a fair bit and me and Finners were in hysterics when we actually made a move for him given he hardly set the world alight north of the border. I'd argue that the Championship is his level. He's gone on to play at the top level in Turkey and been deemed surplus to requirements, it's not as if we're talking about somebody who's excelled elsewhere; he's distinctly average. I like the guy and he didn't disgrace himself with us but to say he was far too good for the division we've just come out of is absurd.
Danno Posted 30 May 2014 Posted 30 May 2014 Very very average defender. So glad we've moved on from shite like him and Jeff Bruma now.
ozleicester Posted 30 May 2014 Posted 30 May 2014 Loved watching him... scared the crap outta me.. but entertained...and the crowd was always up for ... Sol, Sol Bamba
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 30 May 2014 Posted 30 May 2014 Holding midfield role. He'd be even worse in that spot, played there in Scotland on more than one occasion and looked like a competition winner.

I disagree, there was plenty. His decision making and positioning was awful at times. Pretty sure he got an absolute pasting at Reading.
AyewJoking Posted 30 May 2014 Posted 30 May 2014 We should sign him back and then sign Christopher Samba. and persuade muamba out of retirement.
