lgfualol Posted 19 July 2014 Posted 19 July 2014 Well now we know they have money, and we don't need money. 20M please. I think I wouldn't even want them to accept that. I'd like him to experience the prem with Leicester.
crazylegs1984 Posted 19 July 2014 Author Posted 19 July 2014 It was something I read on twitter can't remember who it was but he would fit the bill perfectly and a good replacement for lambert but they will have to pay the bucks they are rolling in it at the moment and we was too sell I want every last penny !!
Trav Le Bleu Posted 19 July 2014 Posted 19 July 2014 Just been reading that Southampton are preparing a bid for our party man vardy what's your views on this HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA Well, you did ask.
sylofox Posted 19 July 2014 Posted 19 July 2014 NP showed faith in him and he knows we love him. So the only reason I see him going for money if he left now. Babs 18m would be a nice price though. Sure np could do a lot with that now and in Jan.

He's no replacement for lambert total different player.
Solihullfox Posted 19 July 2014 Posted 19 July 2014 Of course Ronald Koeman has been watching him from afar ever since Vardy plied his trade at Stockbridge Steel. Koeman will have planned how Grazianno Pele and Vards can play off each other and we shouldn't take this as a rumour put about by an agent to try and improve terms at Leicester but as a serious, serious attempt to lure Jamie to Southampton

Koeman will have planned how Grazianno Pele and Vards can play off each other and we shouldn't take this as a rumour put about by an agent to try and improve terms at Leicester but as a serious, serious attempt to lure Jamie to Southampton John Percy said Saints were interested in him in January, he has repeated the fact several times since. Quite frankly he's about the most spot on of all reporters at the minute, with James Nursey behind him.
Finnegan Posted 19 July 2014 Posted 19 July 2014 John Percy said Saints were interested in him in January, he has repeated the fact several times since. Quite frankly he's about the most spot on of all reporters at the minute, with James Nursey behind him. Sure, like ttfn says, he's a good fit. But we're not in a position to need to sell our best players really so they can be as interested as they like. It's highly unlikely.
Albert Posted 19 July 2014 Posted 19 July 2014 They made an enquiry for him a couple of weeks ago but were told he's not for sale. He'll sign a new contract with us in the coming weeks
Ed25 Posted 19 July 2014 Posted 19 July 2014 Did you happen to read this on the ever reliable first4lcfc?? The hate for that site is stupid. I read all Leicester fan pages to see what they have to say and they are probs the only one who actually cite stuff. If they say it its just been copied from somewhere else so it isnt really their fault if its wrong. And its from the Daily Telegraph. John Percy usually gets good info on Leicester too. Won't happen whether they are interested or not.
Bob Weasel Fox Posted 19 July 2014 Posted 19 July 2014 Absolutely no chance of this happeningThere's less chance than that to be fair
Buzzell Posted 19 July 2014 Posted 19 July 2014 We don't need to sell. Unless Southampton came in with a stupid offer, this won't happen. I also imagine he is very happy here.
MGLCFC Posted 19 July 2014 Posted 19 July 2014 Pearson has put great emphasis on how important it is to not only sign players that can add something to the team, but also keeping last season's squad together. Apart from Dyer, he's done pretty well at securing long term contracts for key players and I'm pretty confident Vardy will follow the likes of James, Drinkwater et al and commit his long term future to Leicester. The coaching staff have shown so much faith in his ability and I hope he will repay that faith by doing the right thing. He's comfortable with our set up and will want to continue his progress without having to worry about settling into a new regime at a different club, whose aspirations may only be similar to ours. Had a top 6 team come in for him, I could have seen his head being turned, maybe, but not Southampton.
MPH Posted 19 July 2014 Posted 19 July 2014 No point moving to a smaller club. I wondered how long it would take before the ' who's the biggest club' comments would start....
st albans fox Posted 19 July 2014 Posted 19 July 2014 we wont sell vardy unless he makes silly contract demands. he has had one good season. the previous one wasnt very good. we dont really know how well he will do this campaign. i doubt the club will make him an offer as big as that for drinks or james.
MozeyCo Posted 19 July 2014 Posted 19 July 2014 The manager/player relationship is too strong for Vardy to leave just because of wages.
st albans fox Posted 19 July 2014 Posted 19 July 2014 The manager/player relationship is too strong for Vardy to leave just because of wages. his agent has no idea- same as us, re how well he will do this season. the one just past could be his career high point. this new contract could be the only big one he ever gets. dont underestimate the role of the agent in trying to line his clients pocket whilst sorting his own out at the same time. i cant see him leaving though - if he does well, then we will increase his contract to keep him and if he flops, he wont get the level of salary we will be paying him at another club so will stay put.
Legend_in_blue Posted 19 July 2014 Posted 19 July 2014 I wondered how long it would take before the ' who's the biggest club' comments would start.... Someone should have beaten me to it.
Vardinhio Posted 19 July 2014 Posted 19 July 2014 If Vardy left it will be for stupid stupid money. No way Pearson is going to spend £7m on a striker to enhance our team and then rip Vardy out for any less than £15m
