Pearson clearly stated that he wants to accelerate this deal. To me, that means we are able to do something to help it happen. they want more than we are offering , be that financial or something else. So it will definitely be done or not happening by the back end of the week. Good to read that he is training in Milan.

We should have other irons in other fires though.

Wrong topic i know people going on about Everton being a top six side? Granted they were last season any team that runs out of steam after 60 mins and they were blowing out of their backsides will not finish top six this season fact.

My mistake. I did get the impression that that was what you were suggesting though.

Not really. There were two posts suggesting Col may have been right. That's what I responded to in essence.

Well that being said....

Any team that has the class to finish 5th last year wouldn't be "blowing out of their backsides" against a team that is going to get relegated this season.

We will be ok. We soaked so much pressure against a class Everton side. Yes they had Barkley missing but they still had their main threat down the left hand side and a 28 million pound striker upfront.

We did well. We had the spine of last season missing with Vardy, Drinkwater and James out injured.

King stepped up and played excellent, Moore played as good as I have ever seen him and Morgan also.

Knockaert will struggle this season as he doesn't have the pace to do what he did last year with premiership full backs being so much quicker than championship ones.

Mahrez will do well, he has the ability to find the pass and take the player on also we seem last season he can score the odd screamer.

Ulloa did better than most expected, Nugent did ok... Still don't think he will cut the mustard. Wood looked like he had a point to prove.

De Laet had the hardest task of the game having to control Pinaer and Baines... Any right back in the premiership would struggle with how the played first half and the rhythm they have with each other is pretty much unstoppable and you can see that they know each other's game. De laet didn't dare try too much and always looked for the easy pass or hoof upfield, not the de laet we seen last year and I'm sure Pearson will address that.

Overall a good performance against a top half premiership outfit that are in Europe this year.

But your right, this is the wrong thread for this discussion! Haha

If you knew it was the wrong topic why did you stick it in here?

I never passed a single comment on his thoughts about Cattermole. Only on his megalomaniac comments demanding people discuss certain things, oh and that they are allowed to think Cabiasso is good so long as they come back with a written apology if wrong.

But I wouldn't think an utter ****ing **** such as yourself would bother to take on board facts.

Megalomania is a hat that fits you well. The problem is, you appear to lack the mental capacity to recognize it.

Inferred swearing too. I must have struck a nerve.

If he is reviewing other options then let him go and go there like I said before I felt he was using us as a anchor bid waiting for others to come in he would be great signing but I feel it's time to start looking at other targets who can fulfills that role , with our display yesterday it shows we can play with the big boys

Are people really expecting him to go "wow Leicester City want me, where's my pen"? Of course he's going to weigh up his options, it's a sensible thing to do. If, after all the weighing up, he decides we are the right team for him then it doesn't mean he doesn't really want to be here. If anything it means he's probably more sure of it.

Fact is no one is sure what these "other factors" NP mentioned in the interview that are slowing this transfer going through - so those saying forget it because he's not interested can't know for sure what the delay really is.

I hope if we sign him he shows the commitment the rest of the squad show. I've been impressed with Ulloa since he started scoring preseason (took 1 or 2 games for him to get the way we play I think) but he seems to be willing to fight for us. Even at 34 I'm certain if Cambiasso plays with passion on the pitch he will be an amazing capture for us and if he stays fit will help cut out anything going through the middle of the pitch making our back line more stable.

If we can then ensure our full backs aren't isolated we'll be very difficult to score past.

I'm concerned we don't have enough players yet to cover injuries but what I am pleased with is how ALL the players we have presently appear like they can be in the starting 11 and we know they'll do us proud.

Losing James and Drinkwater I was beginning to fear for the midfield battle especially as it was 3 v 2 anyway in Everton's favour - but considering we've been talking like King and Hammond are back up for the first 2 they played out their socks and King was arguably MoM

NP has said he thinks we need signings before the end of this window so I am confident the team will make some happen

But I am sure they wont panic and sign for the sake of either

I have areas I think we need to improve and targets I'd love us to get - but I am not a professional scout ... I don't have the reputation of Steve Walsh or the rest at being able to find the right players a club actually needs to fill the gap with players who will add to the squad rather than make up the numbers

So like the rest of you I will just have to wait and see what happens (and ignore the people claiming to be ITK - because I'm fed up of the rollercoaster of emotion that puts me through)

(oh and I am not going to say Knockaert's not up to scratch based on one game when he was an injury doubt coming into the match anyway so wont have trained fully all week)

This!

"It's always been a dream of mine to play for a club like Leicester City. Relegation favourites and struggling to bring in the players that they want. I couldn't resist when I spoke to Nigel Pearson, his lack of premiership experience really inspired me to make my mind up, as soon as I heard he was interested I knew where I was going"

Those "other factors" seem to be the problem I think .... They could be anything from family reasons to housing or schooling choices ... who knows .... But I doubt that it's something in our control as NP seemed to be resigned to the fact that he just had to wait.

To those saying 'sign someone who wants to be here'...

When was the last time a player signed for a club that he didn't want to sign for? It's their choice.

He's 34 years old and this is likely to be his last move as a footballer. You can't blame him for takin his time to assess his options. If he signs for us then he'll want to be here. If he doesn't then we move on.

One minute I'm some kind of Foxestalk Don, capable of making people attack someone without saying a word, the next I lack mental capacity! You couldn't make this stuff up, well no actually YOU could.

Not inferred swearing, actual swearing the site blocks it out. I'd rather it left it in so you know what I think of your pathetic comments.

Rather than bumming off col, perhaps you should ask why such mild mannered people like Fez were even thinking he was being a bit of a clown. Clearly you haven't even read the thread, so it's not even worth engaging you.

At a guess. Jermaine Beckford.
