Guest Posted 10 August 2014 Posted 10 August 2014 Why geezer. Cos I luv the bleedin' cockney accent, an I'm a big fan of 'Arry boy. Now yer know mush. 'Ope yer 'appy. It was funny the first time. It raised a smirk the second. By the third I just ignored it. Must be about number 125 by now.

Robin JD Popley Posted 10 August 2014 Posted 10 August 2014 Most of the news of this deal has broken late evening anyway so I wouldn't be surprised if there was something from Rob Tanner or Stringer or elsewhere early evening/later today. As I said a page or two back, a few of the deals that were being broken on Futbol Mercado last night are beginning to filter through to other media - like the Goalkeeper, Lopez, to Milan from Madrid or DeAndre Yedlin to Spurs and they also confirmed the Thomas Vermaelen story last night so I'm pretty sure this is a done deal. Wonder who we will be getting in for Chris Wood, as we won't be letting him go either without someone else coming in. Looking likely we may see our new intake up to six or seven by the end of next week.
Kitchandro Posted 10 August 2014 Posted 10 August 2014 They've already got a monopoly on duty free shops in Thailand, are the club really going to encourage more people to go to Thailand? Even still, the money they'd need to spend to get us to a level where they are a household name would not be recoupable through increased exposure - football is the worst business to go into if you've any interest in profiteering, because it just won't happen - the amount of money needed to become recognisable is more than would be makable through the increase in trade Why do you think they own the club then?
The Doctor Posted 10 August 2014 Posted 10 August 2014 Why do you think they own the club then? Well, I'd guess they're interested in football and were looking for a project.
Guest Bilo Posted 10 August 2014 Posted 10 August 2014 Absolutely spot on! None of us know what kind of lifestyle Cambiasso leads...Perhaps he's not the boozy party lover that we unfortunately use as a stereotype our teams players. If he's a settled family man, looking for a pleasant relaxing home then Leicestershire is ideal. I've travelled the length and breadth of the country due to work and always feel that little bit priveleged to live in such a green, picturesque part of England. An awful lot of our ex players, wherever their roots of origin, have settled permanently here....There must be a reason! Indeed. He's not a 19 year old kid looking to go out on the pull in Chinawhite after a match, he's a 33 year old family man who's winding down his career over the next few years. If you want somewhere secluded and private to emigrate to, I'm not sure Central London would be high up on my list of choices. It irritates me when people see us up against a London team in the bidding for a player and think 'well, that's it.' Not everyone wants to live in the smoke. Just as Leicester is not all St Matthew's and The Saff, London is not all Harrod's and Westminster. There are great swathes of it that make some of the places Finners mentioned earlier look like St Tropez.
Alexikokopops Posted 10 August 2014 Posted 10 August 2014 This thread has gone from rumour to arguing to speculating on the kind of life Cambiasso leads in his spare time. The mind boggles at where it will end up next.

BigMicky Posted 10 August 2014 Posted 10 August 2014 Why do you think they own the club then? Because they are life long football fans and top likes Leicester due to pork farms.
Guest Bilo Posted 10 August 2014 Posted 10 August 2014 I reckon it will be a heated debate on whether he's a fan of traditional indoor fires or a modern garden fire pit. He's patently a chiminea kind of guy.
st albans fox Posted 10 August 2014 Posted 10 August 2014 I believe he has an 'ex wife' which is why I posted earlier about granny's on london road!

The Prem now they are there goes to millions and millions of people every weekend. Every interview, every game will show the King Power brand. How much in advertising alone do you think it would cost them? Also if they wish to branch out from Thailand it will be easier to grow a business associated with the biggest league in the world.

DANGEROUS TIGER Posted 10 August 2014 Posted 10 August 2014 Which cvnt is going to call him 'Arry' next then? You've just done it mush. Fancy calling yourself a cvnt, but I'll take your word for it.
Bob Weasel Fox Posted 10 August 2014 Posted 10 August 2014 Leicestershire is beautiful. Leicester is a great place to live. People who slate this city really annoy me. London is obviously larger and offers more opportunity but it is one pace, full throttle, 24/7. Leicestershire gives you both.Totally agree
Guest Bilo Posted 10 August 2014 Posted 10 August 2014 Absolutely. Ceramic though, not cast iron. He's not a savage. It's terracotta or nothing for Esteban.
mugshot Posted 10 August 2014 Posted 10 August 2014 I reckon it will be a heated debate on whether he's a fan of traditional indoor fires or a modern garden fire pit. Traditional indoor with wooden panelling all round and fire wood collected whilst out walking the dog every time!
bovril Posted 10 August 2014 Posted 10 August 2014 Clutching at straws here one feels! With the extra 30 grand a week from QPR he could buy himself an weekend retreat in Leicestershire.

London is obviously larger and offers more opportunity but it is one pace, full throttle, 24/7. Leicestershire gives you both. It's a pit of a city. No decent hotels or bars. Very poor restaurants and the shopping dreadful. People in Leicester get excited going to Fosse Park on a Sunday. One of the worst Cities to live in. If location is part of his agenda, then a trip around the City Centre certainly wouldn't make him want to come here. Where would you take him? Personally I would take him somewhere else and tell him it is Leicester. What hotel in Leicester would you book him into? Where would you book him a table? Where would you send him to get clothes? What bars would you tell him to go to? You have to go out into the country to get any sort of quality around here and most Cities have decent countryside around it.
Xen Posted 10 August 2014 Posted 10 August 2014 It's terracotta or nothing for Esteban. Nah, he's clearly the kind of gentleman who appreciates a fine bit of stonemasonry...

No good if they're only offering him a year's contract and he wants two, which reports suggest we've offered him.
weller54 Posted 10 August 2014 Posted 10 August 2014 Will his extra wages come in a brown envelope direct from Arry???

Restaurant wise.. you have a point.. maybe san carlos with the rest of the squad but he'd be used to proper italian food having lived in milan for years. . If he likes chicken hes sorted with maryland ... point being is yes the city is poor but travel a little bit outside and you can fulfil all the requirements you mentioned. . Bar the food
